  1. That would be the stock reed cage. I like the nick name too...
  2. If the engine is wound out, I don't hold the throttle open for more than a couple seconds at time. An example would be if I'm out on a flat stretch of sand. I don't wind it up to 11 grand and hold it there for a minute. I sort of blip the throttle, or go back to camp and go up a tooth on the front sprocket (what I should have done at Dumont)
  3. Can you imagine the stack of CoolHeads you would have if you did take them in on trade?
  4. There should be plenty of women there Reas.
  5. Thanks for the shout out Travis. Right now I can't due to the lack of proper tooling. I did mine all by hand, and my fingers nearly fell off. The hardest part is prepping and sanding. I was able to work on mine while my lathe was running, and it took me the better part of a week to get it to where I could polish it. It isn't where I want it to be right now either. There's a few spots I simply couldn't sand, or even polish. I'm super pickey about this stuff incase you couldn't tell. I plan on it in the future however. I just need to make a list and go shopping.
  6. Hey, does this burger look jetted right to you?
  7. I feel bad for the older folks that don't get along like they used to. The best thing is to just take the licenses from them. I know a guy that was travelling down a divided highway that has intersections with stoplights. It was 55mph, so you can figure 60. As he approached an intersection (maybe 120 or so feet at 60mph) the light at the intersection turned yellow. From what the witnessess said, there was a woman in the oncoming left hand turn lane, and as soon as that light turned yellow, she stomped on the gas to make her turn. This guy I know didn't even get the chance to hit his brakes. His suburban demolished this womans car, and ended up killing the passenger. They tried to sue him, but between the witnessees, the accident investigators that use a tried and trued method called PHYSICS to determine what really happened, it was tossed out of court. She pulled out in front of him as he was travelling 60 mph. No brake marks what so ever from his suburban either. He survived just fine though with a few bruises from his seat belt.
  8. Amen. I plan on hitting Sand Mountain over Easter, and of the 3 times I've been, never had one day pass where someone wasn't killed. It travels through the camps like a wildfire, and then I usually end up talking to a cop or ranger about it. Usually 3-4 per Easter weekend. Some are true accidents other are braisen carelessness. Quite a few injurys are drinking related too. When I'm out there over the weekend I go to see the bikes, see the races, see what the hell K&T, and Larry Short are going to pull out this year. There is sometimes a guy with a ramp pulling off Freestyle tricks too, like a big carnival. But its inevitable....you hear people talking, someone says something to someone else, pretty soon someone walks past your camp...'Hey..did you hear about ........." Then I realize that crowd of bikes half way up the mountain wasn't spectators watching a drag race. The last one I missed (thank God I was out in the dunes riding, but I had to ride past the site on my way back) was a 15 year old kid on a banshee that was riding up near the razor on the face of Sand Mountain when a guy on a yz250 jumped the razor. This kid caught it in the chest. The razor goes the whole height of the mountain, but these 2 were lined up perfectly. There must have been 50-60 bikes up on the mountian to see what heppened when I saw the heli comming over. Ride within your limits, ride safe, and above all ride smart.
  9. great choice, I put off my penile reduction to get my elkas and am really happy I did Thats odd.... I put off my saline testicle implants so I could afford some engine work from jim. I figured I would need the bigger balls after anyway.
  10. They should be 8mm x 1.25
  11. Is there a cost on that beyotch??? That would come in handy.
  12. 21" Fixitrod was kicking ass up Comp with his. He has a +4 stroke and some other stuff...... As soon as the money tree comes back to life I'm grabbing a set of 21 x 11 x 8 9 paddle extremes.
  13. Thats what I'm thinking.
  14. I love reading stories like this one!!! Now, when those T-5's start to get old, and you can handle it, go for a +4 stroke, and a case of Depends. The only complaint I have about the banshee is anything you do to the engine has to be done twice, but I cant think of any other atv that I would rather have. Plus that twin just sounds good.
  15. When my inlaws did my port job, they stripped out 2 studs too. I think it has something to do with corrosion or something between the steel (cheap steel I'm sure) and the aluminum jug. If the studs are as soft as the rest of the bolts in the banshee, I'm not surprised at all that 2 of mine stripped. 20ft/lbs should be fine. Clymers has done their homework on this stuff.
  16. A clutch push rod shouldn't be a whole lot from the dealer would it? I've never bought one, but I saw one at Roostfest in someones box of parts. It looks like a hardened ground rod. Not much more. Have you checked ebay, or some of the engine builders here at the site?
  17. lmmfao!!! Reminds me of the Taco Bell days when I was 18.
  18. Try lubing your cable. Drop a little bit of oil down the cable from the perch. If that doesn't do it, check for a bound cable somewhere. It could just be full of dirt too. Was it always hard to pull?
  19. I wouldn't chrome the frame. I personally have started thinking about my next project bike, and this is what I've sort of decided on...... A bright purple frame, silver/black plastics with tons of billet and chrome things.
  20. My little sister said the same thing when she saw my frame was Hugger Orange. She said a little more...."DONT DO YOUR PLASTICS BLUE!!! I FUCKIN HATE THE DENVER BRONCOS!!!!" Im not a fan of conflicting primary colors anyhow.
  21. HOLY SHIT MATT!!! Those staples kick ass. You should have just had them put a damn zipper up the back of your head. Glad to hear you made it out!!!! Evil, get a magnet out of a 12" sub and "tease" him with it. Pics of that please.
  22. I have the Tag2 CR-Lo bend. I love the forward position I have to take with them, plus they are wider to give me a lil bit more control over this beyotch in the dunes. They have just enough give in them to soak up some of that engine vibe, plus out in the sand they didn't "shock" my arms as much as the steel stockers. I have to head to work, but I'll throw a picture up at lunch, or earlier if the laptop is at work.
  23. LOL You had a 32 ford High Boy or something didn't you? Jesus.....with all the name changes, I've probably made new friends with the people I was already friends with. AHAHAHA
  24. I really enjoy helping out others, but I really really really LOVE helping myself out first.
