  1. Your avatar is great as well!!! The banshee is a thrill!!! I have mine set up more towards the point and shoot crowd, but its not quite that quick yet. I love winding it up, hearing the pipes, and feeling that rush...... I doubt you will regret it. If you run into any problems, thats what the HQ is for. Its a living breathing constantly updating tech manual.
  2. Tweaked thumb, that still hurts on and off, both knees that I could straighten for 3 months, both ankles got beat up, both wrists, neck, ribs, stomach, internal brusing, black eyes, bruised chin, sand rash and abrasions on the chest and stomach.....The funny thing is, after I wrecked, I had NO low back problems. I've had low back problems for ever, but after this, I didn't have any for a while. Basically every part of my body hurt, muscles, bones, joints, guts...there wasn't a part on my body that I couldn't feel when I walked.
  3. Here's mine. I did it by sanding it with 220 grit, then 320, then 400, then hit it on my polishing wheels. My wheels are 8" diameter, which means they are too damn big to get into all the tight spots. For that you need mini sanding tapers, and mini buffs. You could also use mini buffs embedded or coated with 320 grit. Bright Works and Casewell Plating have kits that look better than the Eastwood kit I bought years ago to mess around with. After riding I might hand buff it with some Mothers. Being cast aluminum, it won't polish as shiney as billet, at least that is what I have found with cast aluminum.
  4. Personally I think it matters more if you overheat it alot, or beat the ever loving piss out of it on a regular basis. If you have a good air cleaner etc.... What I would do, is ride it, and if you notice a lack of power (I don't think it will sneak up on you) do a compression test. If there is a difference in what it was, or if one side is different by more than 10lbs, then pull the head, check things out. I have never been one to worry about the amount of time passed in the saddle, but rather how the bike feels when I ride it.
  5. I have a cousin that dropped out in the 8th grade, about half way through. He is one hell of an artist though. The fucken guy (he's my age) can draw, paint, slate and brick work etc...but he's usually too busy tapping vein or trying to find a light bulb, to get his life together and do something with what is left of his talents.
  6. It almost sounds like the sound track to a tweekers life.
  7. Dont forget about that nifty stock chain adjustment, the robotic welders they got from Harbor Freight to put the frames together with (NOW WITH %200 MORE SPLATTER!), case halves that are split horizontal, and super soft bolts made from junk cars. As a whole they did pretty good, but they needed to tweak a few things, and for $6,100 MSRP it SHOULD be a lot better in those areas.
  8. Hell, I've even had the cable at the thumb throttle pull out a little and catch on the cable casing and rev to the moon. Check everything.
  9. If you look into the carbs from the air filter side.....INTO THE ENGINE.... you should see a cut away. The "back" part of the slide should just barely be open if you can even see it open.
  10. I TOOK THAT GOD DAMN TEST 3 TIMES!!!!!!! /me kicks rock.
  11. I'm DL Spork right now...I hope it roxxor.
  12. Broken images. But, is it of your 33 Ford? I wish I had the money.
  13. I've tried that on my dented T-5. I made some aluminum plugs that I wired it with some heavy gauge wire, put an air chuck on one end, and then I pumped air to it (some was leaking out, but not a whole lot-plus I have 150lbs/in line pressure) and then heated it with my oxy actylene torch. It moved a little....but its still there. I know this idea works, just not on mine for some reason.
  14. Do you use Servo brand servos, or did you just happen to capitalize that particular word for no reason? 2 of my mills are retrofitted with Servo II systems. Not the fastest, but they get alot of shit done.
  15. Actually Travis, when you wrap the wire around the spark plug, you create an inductor. As the electricity fires into the plug, there is a magnetic pulse that "follows" it. When this magnetic pulse hits another wire, it causes a "blip" of voltage in the wire. When you wind the wire around this plug, it makes for a more drastic influence in that wire, than if you were to just lay it next to the sparkplug. The tach then reads the change in voltage in that wire, and knows when it was fired.
  16. What was fuxxored up on them a-arms that he had to fixxxor?
  17. They just need to stay home and have the wives go to work. Thats my big plan.
  18. What happened to Bobby Adams? Badams7sec? I used to see cars running around here with a 7 Seconds sticker on them from time to time. I think he was in Reno or something. Im going to laugh real hard if he's still here under a different name.
  19. Am I too old to be adopted?
  20. Lefty is still here. I guess he had to make a run for the boarder or something. I got a PM from him yesterday.
  21. COOL!!! I still say Magnus or Ivan would have been a cool name. lol Congratulations!!!!!!!!
  22. Damn!! Did they shoot it off with a .38 or something?
  23. If I had the cash flow I would start a Yamaha Shop like no other. Everyone that worked there would either know what the hell is going on, or they would be out on their ass. None of this calling the dealer looking for a part. They say its in, at this price. You get there, its not in, or they give you the wrong part, and the price is 3 dollars more than what was quoted to you over the phone. The first thing I would do is kick out all the red necks hanging out trying to become someones friend. Then I'd give the boot to all the dumb assed employees. I'd just fire everyone and do it myself.
  24. LMFAO DEUCE!!! hehehehe....stock jugs.
