The next time one of my machine shop customers calls and asks me if his parts are done I'm going to tell him my dog must have ate them.

One of the biggest cautions is respect the bike. Even in stock form it will bite you. Get familiar with it (shouldn't take long if you're addicted like the rest of us) before you start adding horsepower. Personally I would break in the engine before you do much to it, but thats just me. I've known people in my area that bought a new banshee, took it home and stripped it. When it came out it was ready to race with T-5's, aftermarket head, etc.

Am I to assume that's her being exploited in your avatar & sig? If so, does she know? I would be so mad if I was dating someone who put scampy personal pics of me online. Ah, but who am I kidding. Sorry to rag. It's just my shee and I for right now. Diamond studded and ready to rock for this summer! wish I had some photos to show all my new friends here. lol SM....thats probably where he got her picture.

I've always just pressed the plate on with my fingers and then snapped the master link clip in with a pair of plyers.

Hey Travis. I used to get excited thinking about that reduction in insurance when I was your age......I was insuring my banshee with my new agent at Allstate and I mentioned it to him. He sort of chuckled and said "I wish they wouldn't tell you guys about that...To be honest with you, it will drop $4.00 per month" I about shit. We had a good laugh about it though.

Happy birthday you old fart. I turned 29 at the end of Feb, and most days I feel 49. I think it was about 23 where I actually felt 23. At 24 I felt more like 30. Turning 29 kind of spooked me. I realized that I'm getting old, and in a hurry. I remember my first day (parts of it) of kindergarten, and my graduation ceremony from Highschool, and the last 10 years have been a blur that I don't really remember too much. I think God is going to have to stop me personally to tell me its time to go. I think life is going to go that fast. May parents are 59 and 57, and they say the last 30 years (since I was borneded) has just FLEW on by. Anyone else ready for a mid life crisis? I figure 10 of us together should be able to scrape up enough cash for a Saleen S7. Time share it or some shit.

A buddy of mine that used to have a banshee used to run 9 paddles on 8 inch rims. It was/still is a quick bike. No bogging problems that I remember with the T-5's and 2:1 and 9 paddles. That was all the engine work he did to it.

Different...that ain't no shit. When I saw them at Dumont, I thought they were Honda or aftermarket....Things are bigger than the "newer" style.

What Is The Ideal Temperature Of Engine Exhaust?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to erbilabuc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
From what I know, after talking to the sled heads here, and other duners and engine builders, with an EGT (don't know if the infraredpyrometer is the same) the temp should be 1000-1100 for drag racing. Anymore than that you are risking melting down. I don't know about the outside of the pipe, as the heat has had a chance to dissapate. Its much different measuring it from the outside with the infraredpyrometer than it is with a bi-metallic strip 10" from the exhaust port on the inside. -
Its a great filter, just ditch the stock clamps. Get some 2" hose clamps and squeeze down on it. Going on 6 years no problems. Had one pop off the wifes bike when she had it, but it was our fault. Didn't have those stupid stock clamps tight enough.

The thread was fun while it lasted, and personally I don't give a shit if Lee or anyone else deleted it. All you guys know (and gals ) that another one will happen upon us again in a matter of time. Then we'll all get another chance to gang up and whip out our best shit to lay down on them. BlueTraxx========> Bansheehq=======>

I'll add it here, just for the hell of it. Ranshee, the purpose of wet sanding, is to unclog the sand paper so you don't get a "wad" of aluminum dust breaking loose from the paper, and scratching the aluminum deeply. You want enough water to be able to keep the paper clear. It also helps with the longevity of the sand paper so you don't go through 1000 sheets of it.

LMFAO I'm going to need a new key board, this one hates coffee. I think Bens post is not only hilarious, its TRUE. The sad part is, is these people are raking in the cash as fast as they can. A similar scenario would be if I were a dentist, with the mad dentistry skillz that I have now. The money dentists make is CRAZY, but I'm not going to just open up an office without some sort of...I dunno...whats that word....begins with.......OH I KNOW!!!! KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ITEM OR SERVICE I AM SELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!! JESUS MAN PICK UP A TECH MANUAL!!!! They have like 50 of the Clymers just sitting there...All the dude needs to do is pick one up and read the god damn thing! After I totalled my bike, I took it to the local dealer (the one that cut my chain wrong by 11 links) to get it inspected for the insurace claim. They get done, I go back to get my bike, and he says.."Here the list of stuff that needs to be replaced. Oh, and you need a new top end. The compression was 90 in one side, and 120 in the other" When the kid started my banshee on the first kick and revved the piss out of it...... :: PLUS that top end had less than 4 hours on it. I'm still running that top end, and it did fine in Dumont. The cold cranking comp is 155 right now. The other dealer I went to said "Oh, just leave it here, with your insurance info. Well get it back to you in a week" f*ck THAT! I told him I just wanted a quote for my insurance agent "Well, aren't you going to have us do the work??" "no." I said. "Well then, I can't give you a quote."

+4mm Stroker Crank (long Rod)
Cotton eyed Joe replied to westexgt's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I think you forgot to add Rod, that your bike flat out fuckin flys. -
I've heard both good and bad, but personally I would like to see a dyno pull done with the coil wired both ways.

Exaxtly. I was told a 100% cure time of almost 6 weeks.

Just about anyone but the greatest OVERACTOR of our time....Nicholas Cage. He overacts about 10x worse than Jim Carrey. Gone in 60 Seconds? That was me when I went to see this damn stupid show with his dumb stupid ass in the theaters. If you take what I spent to see the movie versus how long I was actually there, the theater made like $20,000 per hour off of my ticket.
