  1. i just tighten them down to the point where it feels real snug without feeling like im gonna twist something. torque wrenches are for wussies on my cr500 banshee i bought a coolhead for it and torques it to manufacturers specs but it leaked. come to find out my cr500 engine has so much compression is was sucking coolant past the o rings.
  2. I cranked my waste gate valve down tight. I'm running nearly 12lbs of boost right now, but I'm thinking of ditching the single turbo setup in favor of a dual turbo set up. One slightly smaller than the other. This will facillitate good boost at low rpm, with it popping at around 3000-4000 rpm and the larger turbo will have had time to spool up and will take over on up to 10,000 rpm. One of my buddies that did this actually had the knobs on his tires come unglued from the tire case itself. LOL He was throwing these little rubber tire lugs all over the place.
  3. yea i have. i hear they are well worth the money. i dont have them yet in my banshee but thats gonna be the next thing i do.
  4. buy her a banshee. that way if you have to get rid of her youll still have the banshee. or you could just buy her a 4 stroke that you kinda like. that way itll be there when you get rid of her.
  5. Turbo Banshees
  6. it takes a few seconds for the centrifical clutch to start spinning fast enough to pull the belt. theres a little bit of lag time so thats why it seems to take a few seconds to wind up. there are different pulleys you can buy to make the lag time less and less.
  7. i didnt use hangers on the rear. i just bolted them ot the frame.
  8. either the 450 wasnt broken in or the rider on it sucks. ill take on a stock banshee with my stock 450 anyday and ill be waitin for him at the end up the drag race.
  9. dont know about fattys but they do stick out a ways. ive never burned my leg but i guess i dont ride all the way up all the time. i personally dont have any problems with them. im sure youll love them.
  10. i switched from t5s to rockets. i ran the t5s while i was waiting on the rockets after i had the stroker built. theres a night and day difference between them. the rockets pull soo much harder on the top and pretty much everywhere else. if you have porting youll notice it even more than with a stock engine.
  11. thats a good story. i wish mine would turn out like that. id really just like to give them a good old fashined lynching.
  12. dont buy a tool. go the to hardware store and go to the nuts and bolts isle. find a bolt that has a head on it thatll fit pretty tightly into the retainer nut. then grab a couple of nuts for that same bolt. screw the nuts onto the bolt and then tighten them against each other so that they will not move. place the bolt head into the retainer nut in your frame. then grab a ratchet and socket to fir the nuts that are on the bolt. then back it out. simple as that and you might have 2 bucks in parts.
  13. the ghetto shit i live in the country. i never noticed anyone dricing by but hell, im not here all day. im either working or in school so its hard to pat attention to those things. im hoping that this little bit of a lead we have will lead us to something. prolly not, but its worth a try.
  14. its def someone who drove by the shop a lot or someone who has been in it. they knew what they were coming for.
  15. it has tremendously. bigboybanshee just bought my silver set from me. check the images section i think for pictures. i liked them, i just needed cut fronts so i went to fullbores.
  16. Yep i got a 130link and cut a few links off! works like a champ! word. thats what i do. then you got extra to add pieces in and shit when you get bigger sprockets.
  17. dude just go head and buy new. i am runnin some now and i like them. call rocky mountain. they got cheap ass deals on them. they hook pretty damn good too.
  18. i put 45 pilots in today and it runs alot better. i think i need to do some adjusting with the air screw. but perhaps this is gonna lead to a perfect runnin banshee.
  19. i personally wouldnt want anything more than a +2 for anything but if you are gonna ride a lot of trails id stay with the +4. if you are mainly dunes then +6.
  20. 450 will stomp you. they are the lightest, fastest, best handling quads ever built. they have 74 hp stock. you better hope hes not runnin funny gas.
  21. .....................and to this day the folks at Yamaha fondly Refer to the banshee as "Peg"................................
  22. thanks alot! we might have a little bit of a lead. some ppl down the road had some shit stolen here about a month ago and they are positive they knew who did it. we are gonna be taking a trip over there tomorrow i believe. if they have my stuff they better be prepared for the ass beating of a lifetime.
