  1. i dont wanna start an argument here but it looks to me like the power doesnt come on till about 6500rpm. my brothers big climb in power started right at 4500. looks to me like this engine starts around 6000 to 6500. anyone else seeing this?
  2. ive got a 76hp stroker engine and im running stock length right now. i can take out on the dirt or street in 2nd and keep it from pullin the front end. its all about riding style and using the clutch right. on dirt will be easier to keep from bringing the front end up but on the road is where you have to be careful. i think youll be able to adjust personally.

  4. i would skip all that and just have your cylinders ported by eric gorr. he does an excellent woods port that will give you more bottom end and midrange than all those mods combines. plus its only 200 bucks.i would really consider this as you will see a huuge difference in your bottom end. sredish and stclark816 on this site have the gorr woods port and they are both extremely happy with it. thats what i would suggest you do.
  5. i would go with toomeys. thats just me tho. just about any pipe will compliment the woods port very well. its def a bottom to mid port job and if you go with a top end pipe youll have the total package. plus with that porting you can run a high gear up front. my bro pretty much kept a 16 on all the time no matter what he was doing. sometimes even went to a 17 for hillclimbs.

  7. since you guys mentioned the 450 i was wondering who would win in a cross country race against my cr500 banshee and a yfz450. my mods are" cr500 engine, ftz drag pipe, ported, wheels and tires and some stickers. oh yea i have handlebars too. the yfz is all stock. who will win and how much money should i put on this race? i think i can take him but he says his 450 has a jet engine in it. im not sure but i think he said he has retractable wings too. so he might be able to fly. i dont wanna let this 4 stroke chump beat me so i dont know what to do. any suggestions??

  17. well my builder didnt show up with the cpis and at 100 bucks an hour i said fuck it on the toomeys. jim at passion racing just posted up a dyno sheet in the images forum of cpis vs rockets. the cpis looked to make about 4 more hp but the torque was pretty much equal. i believe this was on one of his 12 port stroker motors. check out that thread.
  18. jinx, you really wanna drive 6.5 hours? you are crazy man. i should be gettin my cr500 engine back tomorrow so itll prolly be next week sometime before id wanna go down there again.
  19. sorry guys but a stock yfz450 can take even a mildy ported banshee in the dirt. alot depends on rider and conditions but im here to tell you that we have raced our 450s against banshees many times. our banshees and other peoples banshees. on dirt damn near every fuckin time the 450 will win. put them on a road and its a different story.
  20. yo man i think u are in luck. when i ordered my new ac pro pegs they sent me the wrong nets. they have 2 nets in front, back and side. is this what you are looking for? lemme know man and they are yours if you want them..
  21. if you are wantin to jump and shit id go for a yfz450. stay away from the honda whatever you do.
  22. sheet metal screws will screw right into rubber. 10 x 1/2" is what i use. do a search for studded tires and youll find alot of good info. DO NOT use self teppers.
  23. irazrs and holeshot hds work excellent.
