im assuming you are talking about the gorr woods port motor? if so i have no idea what they are. to be very honest with you, i dont even know the port timing numbers of my own engine. i guess i didnt really think i needed to know that stuff. his mods with his setup were 33mmpwk, t5's, 18cc domes and i think thats about it.

ill agree about the torque vs hp deal. what im saying is that i would rather ride a 55 hp with however many ft lbs of torque banshee with a power range of 4000rpm to 9500rpm in the trails than a motor that makes 80+ hp and 50 ft lbs of torque with a power range of 6000rpm to 11000rpm. i guess what it comes down to is what kinda trails you were riding. we ride tight, technical trails with tons of trees and shit like that. a big hp motor with a power range that comes on later wouldnt last 2 seconds in these trails. also, i have more time on 01bansheeke's engine than you realize. i didnt ride it for 5 mins and come to my conclusion. like you said, you shouldnt worry too much about hp numbers, which i dont. most of my conclusions and opinions come from countless hours of riding on these different motors. -

youll be happy i promise, especially when you get some porting. i have heard the same as you, the rockets having more on bottom. they will for sure have more on top than t5's tho. im pretty sure youll be happy with your choice. -

dude what are you talking about? you cant just throw a 152 in and be done cuz u think itll make the most power there, thats a good way to burn something up. i run 35mm pwk and my main is a 162. thats been properly jetted on a dyno. pilot is a 45. i jet so that my shit will run right, dont know about you. maybe aorund there you can get away with a 152 main, but here youll be buying a new top end... -
what would u know about that stan???

i have no doubt the cubs will produce more torque thru the rpm range. im not disagreeing with that, i just think there are better motors available for trail riding. by the way, the damn cr500's still arent rideable. takes a man to ride that bike. actually, you just kinda hang out and it goes where it wants to...

ill have to disagree with the swingarm in the dirt comment. as a person who has been dirt hillclimbing for 3 years now in missouri, kansas, and minnesota i have tried all types of lengths, gearing etc...i have found that better tires with a longer swinger works best. short swingers in the dirt, especially loose dirt makes you really squirrally. my ass end was all over with a shorter swinger. longer swinger and i stayed much more straight. i run a set of kenda knarlys with every other row cut out of them. if i were to try a -2 swinger or even stock swinger for that matter id be on my ass everytime i dropped the clutch. the +4 is just about right for this. just so u know im not bullshittin, i was number 1 in points in kansas and missouri last year. also took 2nd at the regional hillclimb competition with the fastest guys from kansas, missouri, iowa, nebraska, minnesota, wisconsin, and illinois.

my bro has a dyno sheet but its so damn shitty its not worth posting. it was from his stock stroke eric gorr woods port motor. power came on right around 4000rpm. that motor had tons of low end. i dont care about hp numbers and whatever else. im telling you from experience between the two that a woods port motor will be much faster in the trails than these cubs. you dont have to believe me but i have ridden both and i know what motor id choose in the woods, even if it only made 55 hp. you guys dont have to agree with me, go ahead and run them in the trails. doesnt bother me any. im just tryin to let some ppl know from my experience with them. most ppl will find someone's opinion between the 2 much more valuable than dyno sheets and port specs.. -
what i am saying is that for me, the cubs dont produce enough bottom end for me to want to trail ride them. now take this into account. the last banshee that i ever trail rode was my brothers with the gorr woods port. now that porting has bottom end with power coming on around 4000rpms. if i were to trail ride a banshee it would have a gorr woods port. i suppose if you were used to riding something that made power a little further up in the rpm range you might be ok with the cubs. all im saying is that from my experience with trail riding a banshee has come from a low end port job. i really think that the cubs will be more at home at the dunes and for dragging and id be willing to bet that vast majority of them will be used for just that.

i have direcway satellite internet and its ok. better than dial up but not nearly as good as cable. when it rains hard or the wind blows hard it goes out but is usually back on pretty quick. price is the same as what you mentioned.

sure ill explain. i know that my engine comes on around 6000rpms or so. i have ridden 01bansheeke's bike with the cub cylinders and the power felt exactly the same as my engine. this type of power is not what i would consider a trail rideable motor. maybe you like to run the trails with a motor like that but i dont. i would rather run something that has power that comes on around 4000rpm or so. i dont know port timing numbers or any of that fancy talk but i do know seat of the pants riding, and from my experience with the cubs i dont believe they would be a good trail rideable motor. i feel that they will be much more at home in the dunes and dragging. -

TR6-for stock engines only. if you plan to do ANYTHING to that engine stay away from them. Trinity-dont know shit about them but i know they are expensive. Rockets-for a drag pipe they have really good low end, and the midrange and top end is unreal. on my 4mm stroker rockets pulled 3 more hp and 3 more ft lbs of torque than cpi. they also came on sooner and pulled harder. i would go with rockets if i were you, u wont be disappointed. plus your banshee will be featured on the rocket website. thanks for all the good comments guys! like i said, the guys i have dealt with before know how i am and are willing to give me their shirts if i needed it. as for me voicing my opinion, thats just how i have always been and will always be. if you dont like it i suggest not reading my posts or just not coming here.

that was one hell of a run on sentence. we wanna hear your stories man but next time use some periods, form some sentences and quit using all caps or ill have to delete your post. oh yea, sounds like you had a good time..i think.

well its kinda like wanting tons of low and and tons of top end. just really hard to accomplish. i would say that if you go any longer than +2 you will have no chance at riding really good long wheelies. i wouldnt want any longer than +2 in the woods thats for sure. i run +4 on mine but its a hillclimber and thats about all its used for. i would say to be safe go with a +2 and learn to lean up for the drag launches...
-
i would prolly just go with clampons. or you can do this to your existing airbox. basically just some cutting and a couple 2.5" hose dealies. this works pretty well as me and my bro both have it done. this is with 35mm pwk and boss intake.
-
yea i would go ahead and ride it. chances are everything is fine and you wont have a problem for a long time. what kind of head is on it? is it an aftermarket head? like fixitrod said possibly the seals on the crank could go bad but id go ahead and ride it and wait until something for sure goes bad.
-
lemme tell u, the low end is practically non existent. they are for dragging and thats pretty much it. they flat out haul from mid to top tho...

i doubt he will post here because he in nonconfrontational and doesnt really wanna get involved with it. he doesnt take things as personally as i do and forgives ppl easily unlike me. allen just took my side like wallrat and broke took yours. anything wrong with that? obviously he is the only one here that saw something bogus going on. like i said previously, it took ray posting up a message about you for you to respend to his request about his pipes. it is to my understanding that ray lost the sale over this as well as a little bit of respect from that person who will probably tell all his buddies not to buy rockets because theyll never recieve them. my character? at least its not one that doesnt handle my business improperly. youve never seen anyone have to start a thread about me cuz i wasnt handling business as i should be. as a matter of fact there are several members on this site that would gladly vouch for my character. a long time ago frocashmoney needed all the bolts for his plastic. i went to the store got him everything he needed and shipped them to him. i didnt charge him a dime. SICKBOY also knows. i sent him a set of nerf nets for free and asked nothing in return. and in about 2 mins im leaving to go pick up a kickerset up that i had a machine shop make for him. so good try on trying to make my character out to be someone who screws ppl over or whatever you were getting at. my character is just one who says what they feel regardless of whos feeling are involved. i dont need to be a moderator to do that, ill do it anyway. you are just pissed because i saw something shady and called it out. yea well thats all fine and good but if you think i need another pal over the internet you are wrong. i know who my friends are and im not worried about someone who was never my friend to begin with. i come here to give advice and joke around and whatever else, but if you think ill be worried that you dont like me or wont help me anymore you are wrong. i couldnt care any fuckin less that you are mad that i personally attacked you. ill glady do it again any day to anyone who i feel deserves it. ever since the deal with my brother i thought you were a little shady and now this? its really fuckin sad that you cant handle your own business and wallrat had to call you and let you know this was going on. it should have never come to that, am i right or wrong? you dont have to agree with me because i am right and you know it.

i can believe the HP numbers but as for being rideable i dont believe that. hell i have ridden a bike with cub cylinders. there isnt much in the way of bottom end and power comes on around 6000 or so rpms. i guess you could prolly dune ride them but you arent gonna be takin them in the trails without a lot of clutch action.

damn that sounds shitty. is he ok and just pinned in or actually pinned by the truck?? hopefully everything will be ok...
