or you can go with inframe rockets because they are pretty much the same damn thing. has anyone ever seen a set of GRR drag pipes and then looked at rockets? pretty much identical besides the fact the GRR's dont have silencers. geez these look alike dont they???
you should tear his ass up. the only way he could get you is if you race on dirt and you cant get traction. those things are so heavy and with the auto tranny they will hook up right out of the hole. dont do too much tire spinning out of the hole.
im not doubting you at all. i believe you 100%. what im saying is that on different motors different pipes can do different things. like i said, they are all good pipes.
i had t5's and they never blued. i have rockets now and so does my brother and they have never blued. both our bikes have been dialed in on the dyno so the jetting is spot on. do a plug check and see what your plugs look like. it seems a little strange to me that you changed jetting and now you are having this problem. what was your jetting before and why did you change it?
while i agree that they are both good drag pipe choices you cant rule out rockets. i have dyno sheets showing the rockets making more hp and torque and pulling harder and longer than cpis. not opinion here only fact.
not very likely you are gonna find a set of used rockets for sale. prolly just gonna have to buy new. talk to ray and see what hes got going on..as for the intake, pm "sredish" here on the site. i think he used to run one on his banshee but switched to something else.
yea i would not run those pipes on that motor but thats just me. i think youd have a lot better power without sacrificing much if any on bottom by running rockets or cpi...
if the toomey needle is longer it would cause him to be more lean than rich..it would make more sense to me for the toomey needle to be a shorter(leaner) needle. i dont see the point of running the toomey needle myself. i always ran stock needles with my t5's and it ran great. i would ditch those needles and go back to stock and see what it does.
if you are running a motor like that you need to step up to a drag pipe. i would suggest rockets, cpi or shearer. any of them will make more power and compliment your setup better than t5's or trinity pipes. what does trinity suggest you run??
it could be a number of things. could be that your cable needs adjusted. also could be your clutch is wearing, clutch basket could be worn, inner and outer hubs could be worn..i would start with the cable first and work from there.
