guys at toomey are fuckin idiots. more air flow=more fuel. it may not be a significant change but it may just be enough to keep from burning holes in the top of your pistons. i would absolutely do a quick plug check after installing. i bet youll need to go up one main jet size. what mods do you have?

under what riding conditions does this happen? and you say itll work again after 5 or 10 mins? that seems odd. so the coil itself does not really fail, just quits working momentarily? i would say that the problem is not the coil itself but something else.

sounds like some sort of lean condition. most motors will rev up when they are about to run out of gas but for 2 minutes doesnt seem common..i would pull the carb apart and clean it and what not. if that doesnt solve the problem you could have an air leak. of course you could check for the air leak real quick using some starting fluid(not too much of course). it sounds to me like its starving for gas...

just wonderring but have you noticed that you coolant level has dropped? also is there oil particles in the coolant when you take the radiator cap off? sounds like you def have a bad seal tho.

i would tear the top end off and see whats going on for sure. sounds like something is for sure messed up in there. and i definetely wouldnt run it anymore. you could end up messing up the crank or really tearing up the cylinder wall bad. also, you will notice no significant increase in power by boring. boring is basically to clean up the cylinders when something happens to them. with that being said, i would just go to the next size bore for your cylinders whatever it may be.

fuel injection easier to work with than carbs? i dont think so...if it were every big builder out there would be using it. its much harder to get tuned and when there is a problem itll be alot more complicated than with carbs...ill stick to my carbs anyday...

i knowthat CT does a lot of stuff on 250r's but i dont know about banshees. personally i wouldnt base your decision on who is closest to you and i certainly wouldnt send anything to trinity. do a search on "trinity" here and see what people have to say about them. there are much better builders than the 2 you have mentioned. you would just have to send your cylinders out..

bent shift forks maybe? sounds to me like you are gonna haveto start tearin the motor apart...

i just started running these plugs only because i cant get the br8ev's here anymore. they told me at several places now that the iridium plug is the replacement?? oh well. i got mine from a buddy at a yamaha dealership so i didnt have to pay anything for them. i too have a hard time justifying spendin more than about 4 bucks for a spark plug...

never ran the hinson but i know for a fact that the FAST clutch kit works very well. im runnin it with my cubs and they are prolly makin about 90 hp. there is no slippage at all. i say go for the FAST kit.

damn sweet results!! on there it says 350 but thats for a 4mm setup? looks like the rockets come on sooner and stay with shearers till about 8000rpm then the shearers keep on pulling. id like to get a set to try out on my setup and do some dyno runs with.
