  1. my brother raced a ltr at the dunes on his bone stock yfz450. the ltr had a lightweight rider, pipe, same tires and prolly a cherry bomb..ltr got spanked every time. i dont really see the attraction to efi.. more shit to go wrong as far as im concerned. i like carbs. easy to tune, easy to fix. just plain easy...

  8. what carbs are these?? mikunis?? if so, jetting would prolly be similar to stock carbs. you need to be more up towards 300 with the main jet. pilot sounds right.. i bet its way lean. dont blow it up!!
  9. have you talked to jeff about it?? i know that the 4mm motor he built for my bro a couple years ago had 180 pounds. it had all kinds of power down low..
  10. what pilot is in it?? 380 main is fuckin huge.. have you checked the plugs on that?
  11. id stick with dual carbs. do some suspension shit. no sense having all kinds of power if you cant get it to the ground.

  14. 10mm gonna cost more plain and simple. youll need bigger carbs, lockout for sure, straight cuts...id say if you have the money go for the 10, but the 4mm run hard as fuck. i have both.. and youre gonna need at least a +4 with either of them.

  19. check your other thread. you need to start looking at other possible problems. that jetting should be fine to get it started and running. the main might be a little rich, but it still shouldnt be doing what its doing. are you getting good spark??
  20. well it should start with either 48 or 50 pilot, unless that circuit is plugged. but if the carbs are good and clean you better start checking spark. you might be getting intermittent spark and sometimes itll start and run fine and other times it wont. ive had that happen to me before..are your plugs fouled by chance?
  21. it would really help to know what your jetting is now. theres a huge difference from 155 to 165. i dont have any experience with the 34mm pj carbs but there are guys here that do. help them help you by letting them know whats in the carbs now..
