  7. you can keep fucking with your jetting all you want, but you have bigger issues. 35 pilot is way too fuckin big and 380 is pretty uncommon. ive never in my 10 years of being on HQ and fuckin with banshees heard of anyone running anything bigger than a 30 pilot. in very few instances have i heard of guys running 380 mains. you need to step back and figure out whats causing you to run jetting so rich.

  9. then something is wrong. in the history of all banshees ive never heard of anyone using anything higher than a 30 pilot. if you have to have a 35 in there, then maybe you do have an air leak. also 380 is damn fucking high as well. i think you better take a better look and see whats going on.

  12. those +4 timing keys shouldnt even be used. the possibility that they will break is too high for me to ever use one. do yourself a favor and buy a timing plate. they are like 30 bucks.

WHOA!!!! 35 pilot??????? thats your fuckin problem right there.. your pilot should either be 25 or 27.5 with aftermarket pipes.. youve probably fouled your plugs. you need to drop your pilot down to a 27.5 and change your plugs.. bam, problem solved.. thank you, thank you.. ill be here all night... :biggrin:
  14. your rod is probably fine. sounds like you might have just gotten a bad bearing.
  15. clean your carbs. sounds like the pilot circuit could be plugged up.
  16. fuck their catalog. use the website, it should be more up to date.
  17. start with 162 mains and 48 pilot. needle in the middle. that should be safe starting jetting for you. depending on your elevation, temperature and pipes you might have to adjust a little bit.
  18. first off, that pilot is way too big. you should be in the 45 to 48 range.. try a 160 or 162 main jet. as for the carbs overflowing you need to pull the bowls off and adjust the floats. it sounds like they are not adjusted high enough for the needle to stop the flow of fuel in the seat.
  19. did you put oil on the bearings and wristpins?
  20. where are you spraying the carb cleaner? sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. the carb cleaner is plugging the hole long enough for it to start. once the cleaner evaporates or is burned off then it starts to lean out and revs up.

  23. wait, what?? the bike runs leaner with the choke on? i doubt that. whats your jetting set at? you had the idle set lean with the air screw? what does one have to do with the other?
  24. i still run a boost bottle on my 10mm cub motor. it gives me that extra boost down low to pull huge gearing like 13/41 and 14/44. its amazing how much snappier it is.. itll easily blow the tires off and im running 18" holeshots!! i highly recommend snagging a boost bottle and gettin it put on. within minutes youll go from dull and boring to holy shit! i never would have thought a $20 part would work so well.. you gotta get one.
