At this point it could be a million things. We need more info.
Have you pulled the plugs and checked to make sure you have spark on both sides?
Have you replaced the plugs? Maybe one is fouled.
Are the plugs wet and dark?
Does the bike idle and run ok?
Are you for sure getting gas to both carbs? Is the gas getting to the bowls?
Actually, that's not true. The 530 chains aren't any stronger than 520 chains. The pitch between the two is the same. The 530 chains are generally weaker due to the pin length being longer. They have more of a chance to bend the pins than the 520 chains.
The whole reason I run a 530 chain is for sprocket width.
In this case, it sure sounds like something else is the issue. Is the carrier good and tight? Are the sprockets in good shape? I can't see stretching a chain that bad after three rides.
The idler gear should have NO play. The worn out busing caused your idler gear to wobble, which in turned caused it to kick off the washer and clip.
You need a new washer, bushing and clip.

No power gain or loss. You're only removing a few inches at most. No noticeable sound difference.
He won't gain or lose anything but cutting off a couple inches. If the packing is good, the sound difference will be minimal. I did mine for looks.
I don't think there are necessarily any shorty silencers being made, but shortening the silencer is pretty easy.
I shortened a set of Rocket silencers about 4" back when I ran them.
Take the end cap off. Pull out the tube/packing. Cut the tube off however much you want. Cut off the aluminum part of the silencer the same amount. Then reassemble.
Har Har Har! Goat jokes are old and played out! Please come up with some new material and then report back!
And no, I'm looking for a replacement goat right now.
