I'm actually gonna see if I can get it straightened. Anyone have experience with this? I know it can reduce the strength of it but what the hell it will bend either way when I roll it next. Evil, I'm the same way I got almost two grand in LSR stuff on my shee and this kinda worries me. I got all the racing stuff to go all out but that's the catch. The racing stuff helps you go faster but the faster you go the more likely your gonna break stuff. The thing that has me really pissed off and on the verge of parting it out is it wasn't even a hard crash for my shee. You see quads on TV flip 4 or 5 times then the rider jumps on and rides away. When I spent this kinda money on a stem I was under the assumption it could take a beating. I was a click away on ebay for putting up my Elkas, and rear Custom Axis shocks, cause if those went (I'd say minimum $500) it'd get the ball rolling. I'm still BS aboout it but I think I got too much time and money to just sell it.

Well guess what!! Nothing nada! There is NO warranty against bending, only if a weld cracks. This has me seriously thinking about selling my banshee!! I have all LSR stuff on my shee and to think that if I hit a jump wrong I'm out $800 for arms or hubs or whatever. I've rolled my shee way harder with my stock stem with no bends. My buddy who is a sick nut rolls his 400EX ALL THE TIME without bending his steering stem. I've only ridden with this stem for a few rides.

Reas11, Sorry to cause all this commotion. Sometimes when I have a bad day I come and take it out on this board, next time I'll just kick the dog (j/k) . I was just fired up and itching for something to set me off.

How big of a hurry are you in? I'm gonna get some some porting done for my stroker between now and February or so. I'll have to part with it then but I love it too much to switch out before the porting. I bought the setup in June so its less than a year old. Once you dial it in its gives you 4 stroke low end with the two stroke topend. I've been trying to talk the builders I'm looking at right now into keeping it but everyone suggests the minimum I should run is twin 28's to twin 34's.

You can see it here: Notice the gap on the left you can see the bearing in the gap which is not good.

Yes, but mine had high compression domes in it.

You can get one already modded from Magic racing or you can get a stock one (ebay or parts finder) and have it modded by someone like Boonman.

But Sandman asked a few simple questions and was blown off. That's really what tempted me to post, cause I just saw the irony in the reply by Reas. I'd quote it but I'm too stooopid. What's the deal with name calling too, I'm a dickhead, a prick. Why can't anyone give an opinion without being called an asshole (which I can be). You never see me saying Reas is a dick (nor do I think he is). It always seems to revert to name calling rather than actually taking on what I said. And you're right Brooke, it has changed thats what pisses me off but not the way you describe. There have always been verbal (written) altercations between members since the beginning it just goes in cycles. The problem I see is what I see here. Everyone wants something but doesn't want to give back, there are a select few who come here and take their time to answer people's questions but mostly people get their info and leave. If you talk about the old board it was made up of less people but everyone contributed, if you asked a question you ALWAYS got a decent reply. It seemed like even though you knew people were busy they would always make time for your questions which now it is not the case. I was also indirectly trying to help Reas out by saying HEY selling those burnt games on a forum open to the entire world is not a good idea(that's why I mentioned selling is illegal). A kid at my college years back did the same thing w/ windows 98 and got arrested (sold copies of it over the internet). But I'm a dickhead so who cares!? That's really all I got to say.

Hey I'm not trying to start an argument, you're are correct you have every right not to help people on this. I just find this attitude funny cause its completely opposite of what the HQ is about. You're basically telling people who already have the PS2 to buy your modified PS2 instead of helping them mod their own PS2. That's like me trying to sell my banshee here then someone asks me about a mod I have and just say F-U just buy my damn Banshee. You can flame me (cause you will) but just remember that, when you need a question answered yourself. thats exactly the reason i said REPLY if u are serious about buying it

You'll sell illegally burnt games over the internet but you won't let us know how to do it? I looked it up here's a link to some info for those who want to know. Its not illegal to backup your own stuff BTW, you just can't sell it so the mod is perfectly legal. PS2 Mod

Just be careful about heating and banging around the CDI. My frame was bent and I hammered on the frame. Then a little while later my CDI (2000 shee) went. Coincidence I think not! (funny for those of us who rember thsoe time life book commercials). It takes about 2 minutes to remove the CDI so I'd recommend you do that first.

Supposedly its a +1 but your right they look just like the stock length you posted. Either way I love the height they are at right now (or were). I was nailing some good sized jumps with ease, almost perfectly level landings with a little nose up. I was really seeing the huge difference between stock shocks and my Elkas. The reason I crashed is I should have studded my frickin tires. I got the studs but I haven't taken the time to do it cause the lakes aren't frozen over yet. Well the ground is frozen and even though it looked like a normal field it was basically ice disquised as ground (it had rained a few days ago so the water froze in the dirt). I should have known better too cause it happened to me the other day but not at such high speed so I just spun out gassed it brought it around and kept going. That brings me to another point. I'm kinda worried about having this thing ported. I mean right now I'm running vito's power pistons w/ 7mm deck and it rips. Even with my -1 LSR swingarm I can actually hear my tires spinning when I'm riding. I'm running pretty new Razr's and have most of my trouble when I'm riding on grass (which is quite often in my area). Shee wants to come out on me all the time but not the fun kind of power sliding but the kind of "Oh Shit" like today. I'm hoping its just cause the ground is frozen so maybe the studs will help. Anyone else have this problem? I'm gonna call LSR in the morning so i'll let you all know. I just wanted to know where I stand before I call them. I'm mainly concerned with the fact that I rolled it and it bent, wonder if this voids the warranty? I think if i had hit a jump and it bent that would be another story.

Yeah, but that's what the military has taught me. Wear your gear! You'll never see a pilot go up without a helmet, gloves, G-suit, boots, and survival gear, and i'm sure its the same motto for the ground pounders. Not wearing ALL your gear is the reason any of us ever saw (read) "Black Hawk Down". Those guys went out on a daylight raid without NVG's but Mr. Murphy popped up and they had to spend the night without the tactical advantage of NVG's. Had they all had them they would have escaped under the cover of darkness with far fewer casualties than they had. I know its off topic just a little history lesson for some.

Here are a few pics. BTW, the Tischler sticker came with my banshee. No clue if its a real company.

Well, I flipped my Banshee pretty good today. I rolled it at about 40-50 mph so it was a pretty good roll. To my surprise the handle bars didn't bend but to my disappointment my brand new +1 LSR steering stem did!! . Does anyone have a clue what the warranty is on these, its only a few months old. The only other things that broke were the clutch lever (Magura so it a PITA) and one head light popped out. I cannot believe such an expensive product would bend before my handle bars did. How many people here wear knee pads and elbow pads? I'm thinking about getting some to wear under my shirt and pants. Just a helpful hint about riding in the winter. Even if its 50 degrees outside for 3 days, the ground is still very very solid. Again my being farely uninjured is a testament to my helmet and chest protector. We were ripping around this field making a circle track and I was hauling ass. My buddy on his Raptor had just cut across the field the to get behind me to race me, he said he was hauling ass trying to catch up then he saw me go instantly sideways and all hell broke loose from there. I went full sideways and instantly shee dug in and I was flying through the air then rolling and rolling and rolling. I just remember hearing my shee flipping and getting way too close to me. My shee came to rest upside down about a good 30 feet from where I stopped so that was good cause I just kept thinking I hope my banshee stops before I do. By knees and elbows are pretty banged up from the hard ground but thats about it. I guess even though I was going so fast my shee actually only flipped 1 1/2 times. It flipped one whole cycle when it bucked me off then it bounced around then finally flipped over upside down and came to rest (obviously this is my buddies account). So for only really flipping one whole time I'm pretty pissed I bent that steering stem. The clutch lever is kinda expected though.

I heard rear shock travel problems. I was talking to the guys at K&K, and they told me that the rear shock doesn't have enough travel. So even if you threw on the best shock (custom axis) you still can't get any better cause there isn't enough travel to make a difference. There were actually a few different versions of the 450r floating around but now they gotta go redesign the rear end before full production. That's what happens when you play catch up!

I've been told race gas will run cooler (Line Mike NY said in a bike that needs it) because of two reasons. The first reason is, it is more pure therefore less crap burning to cause a non-uniform burn in the cylinder. The second reason is its chemical make up absorbs more heat (remember gas cools the piston not the coolant). Its the same idea as rubbing alcohol on your skin, it gives you a cool feeling cause it pulls the heat from your body as it evaporates.
-
No clue why, but even my LRD's came with jet specs for race gas. I called and bitched that the jets they sent me were too small and they said they were for race gas, and I needed larger ones for pump. Sure enough I pulled out the install guide and it said jetting specs were for race fuel right on the sheet. It probably has to do with the cooler burn though (speculation). I was running C-12 BTW.
-
Yes, generally you will need to rejet. Meaning if you were already almost too lean then your bike will run fine with the race gas but if your jetted to the rich side you'll need to lean your jets out a size or two. For instance I was running 280's on full race gas, 300's on 50/50 mix and 310's on pump.

I'd be down depending on where I'm stationed at the time and what's going on at the time. I wouldn't mind riding, driving or wrenching (I know what you all are thinking after seeing all my posts, " ahh Mcaf, why don't you go over there and get us some water, yeah we got this". I'll be stationed in OHIO for a year now cause the Navy says I gotta play nice with the Air Farce (j/K) and get my aeronautical engineering masters at Wright-Patterson AFB. Then I'm off to P-cola florida for 2 years, then hopefully if everything works out I'll be flying F-18's outta fallon NV for a few years. So basically for the next few years I could go without shee but if we decide to keep it for a few years I'll have my Banshee desert ready when I get to NV. I trust you guys to ride it too.

I love my LRDs, can bring on the pipe whenever I want.

My motion pro chain breaker and motion pro cpring puller. The push pin on the breaker crushed even though I grinded down both sides. The spring puller almost ended my career as a Navy pilot! I was using the heavy duty spring puller to put my exhaust springs on when the tipped snapped off and hit me in the eye! I always always wear safety glasses doing stuff like this but of course this one time I didn't. I luckily shut my eye a 1/4 second before it hit my eye so my vision was blurry for a few minutes and thats it. I haven't taken an eye test since but I don't think there was any permanent damage. If I hadn't got my eye shut in time I'd probably be a civilian right now.

Hey 87Blueshee since your such a MENSA candidate, you knew that the faster you go the longer it takes to get there right? For instance just because a bike does 0-60 in 2 seconds it doesn't mean it does 0-120 in 4 seconds. The Aprilia can probably get to about 100 in 6 secs (its a pretty heavy bike) but takes 4.5 secs to get the next 33 mph to get to 133, but you knew this. So your right I'm an absolute moron. I checked up on it, and my piped R6 w/ pwr commander runs about 5's in the accelerating from 0-100. Either way my point was an R6 will kill a banshee on the street. Even an idiot like myself knows this.

I've used Magic quite often and they all have been great experiences. What Dave is trying to say is wink wink hook a brotha up. If you go to a store and ask for a product then five minutes later someone else walks in and is looking for the same product, the store will figure out hey there is a demand for this product so I better go get it and stock the shelves. Its all about supply and demand. Dave has the supply so he can't go to Magic and say stock my product cause Magic will say "Where's the demand?" We are the demand! So if we call Magic and say "Hey you have Noss head's cause I really really want one cause they are P-I-M-P." If enough people call about it then Magic will get the picture and call Dave to get the SUPPLY. This in turn gives Dave a larger audience (all the people who search Magic's site), and thus brings in more business. More business means more money and more money means better tools, CNC machines and more kick ass products from Noss Machine. That is how good businesses succeed. Dave let me know if I'm way off base. This is just my take on it.

Just Got Glasses For The First Time

Meat, I know quite few people who have had PRK (photo refractive kera tonomatat blah blah) and all have come out with better than 20/20 vision. The Navy accepts people that had PRK for the flight program but not Lasik so i see PRK people all the time. I think the only reason the NAV doesn't accept LASIK yet is because its relatively new. My wife says she sees patients with LASIK all the time and she has never seen any problems.
