Compared to stock,...any aftermarket pipe is going to boost your performance. From what I've read the sst's work best & were designed for banshees still with stock motors. Do a search & you'll find pleanty of information pertaining to your topic.

That I couldn't tell ya. I bet if they don't bolt up directly you could probably mod them to work. Perhaps shoot an Email to roll design & see what they have to say...

My head's milled .030 & I'm at 150lbs on each cyl.

If you paint them they're bound to chip bad when the springs compress & decompress. I can't tell you for sure because I've not tried it myself. Most people I hear of get them powdercoated, shouldn't cost much to just get the springs coated.

I think that may have been boonman. But I'm not sure. I've thought about getting some 300ex shocks to lower the front for Flat Track'n.

I'm happy with my Graydon Proline nerfs. I'm pretty sure you can get them around the same price as the DG's too. The only thing I don't really care for is the lack of heel guards.

My PC's ping pretty good when reving down from higher RPMS....hence the 'ring DING DING'

What are your mods?...why'd ya go to 300's? I've never had starting issues...if so I just turn the key off, hold the throttle wide open, kick it about 3 times, turn the key back on, choke it, & shee'll usually start up 1st or 2nd kick.

Not really related,..but kinda....I went with my cousin & picked up an '88 LT250R yesterday. It did like your shee kinda,...ran fine low but at mid throttle it'd spit, sputter, & bog really bad. If you could get it past the 'dead spot' it would rev to the moon just fine. I raised the needle in the brand new aftermarket carb and that completely fixed the problem. Runs like a champ now. We didn't bother telling the guy we got it from--he couldn't get it running right so that's why he got rid of it. Pretty sad for someone who claims to be an 'ace' with atvs...hehe My shee still spits & sputters & backfires only at WOT, have checked everything numerous times. Has got to be the stator...dunno what else it could be. Going to try a new stator when I get the $$ & hope to hell that's the problem.

I'd start with grabbing yourself a beer & if ya smoke...have one of them too. Then I'd start with double check everything, did you follow the instructions provided?(not being sarcastic--just trying to help out) Check & see if the choke tube connecting both carbs is in place. I've not installed one of those kits myself--nor have I heard of people having problems with the kit, so keep an eye on this thread & you're bound to get more helpful responses.

I used some High Temp Engine paint from O'reillys...rated to like 1500 degrees or some shit like that. They only had flat black. Worked great & looked good.
