  1. Finally closed on my house today . I've been trying to get this house for a couple months, and kept running into problems, so many that I'm not even going to go into all that. It started as a 1 room schoolhouse built in 1903, and was completely remodeled this year. It still needs the finishing touches, but nothing I can't handle. The best part, is that it's on 2 acres and unincorporated, so I won't be hasseled anymore for riding my banshee. Click on the links below, for pics. view of house from corner of my yard view from front door view from back door kitchen view from kitchen to living room fireplace stairs stairs loft
  2. Gotta watch those junk yard units. Make sure the fluid is nice and red. If it's brown, has metal glitter in it, or even smells burnt, don't waste your time swapping it. I worked in a tranny shop for a few years and sometimes we got junk yard units for cores to rebuild or customers would bring us one to R&R in thier vehicle, and 9 times out of 10, they're junk. If you know what to look for, you can get a good one, though.
  3. Well then you got lucky. I got my old blaster impounded, went to get it back, they said I needed the title, so I went home(hour drive) to get it and they wanted to see 2 forms of ID that matched the name on the title. I would just get it in your name to be safe. Don't worry about the taxes, they are'nt gonna be much, anyway.
  4. Another logical reason would be if it ever got impounded. If the title is'nt in your name, you won't get it back.
  5. YES! one of my all time favorites.
  6. Boondock Saints Blood in Blood out Frequency The day after tomorrow American Pie(Wedding) Road trip
  7. buy a cheaper helicopter to begin with. There was one at our local hobby shop that was $500 ready to run, and parts were very cheap. The guy said that one was great for learning, because the average crash only cost $15-$30. If you have playstation, try to get a game called RC stuntcopter. It'll help you with the basic controls. Not nearly as good as a simulator like Realflight, but if you can master the game, you'll at least be able to get off the ground with the real one, lol.
  8. Man, I hate people like that! My friend got hit head on by a drunk driver, which totalled my friends truck and dirtbike which was in the back at the time. When they hit, my friend's truck spun to one side and bumped some old lady's bumper, but no damage. The old ladys tried to sue the drunk, but since he had no insurance, liscense, and died, they sued my friend. It's been an ongoing battle for almost 7 years now, and those old ladys just won't give up.
  9. This is one of the best threads I've read in a while. As for the brass tube, don't mistake it for the overflow tubes. Both bowls will have one on an angle. (I'm sure that's nothing new to you) Look for a little brass thing on the top towards the front of the bowl, where the bowl would contact the gasket. The gasket will have a cutout for it. Ooops, I might be thinking of my streetbike, but you'll see the difference in bowls, and it'll become obvious once you look at them, which one goes where. After that and the pilots, if it still is'nt right, pull out the needle jets that are under the mains. They come out through the slide tower. There's a ton of little holes in it, and if even one is clogged, it will wreak havok on tuning.
  10. The cops have to do their jobs, especially if there's a complaint or the rider is being a careless idiot. How the cops react all depends on the situation. My friend and I were riding the streets during a blizzard and had our lights off, so we would'nt attract attention(lol). We realized a cop had noticed us and turned around and came after us, so we hid behind some bushes. Well, he found us, and asked if we were riding on the street. How could we lie? we said yes and he asked if we had lights, but we said they did'nt work. He said "get those lights fixed, if you're going to ride on the road." That was over 10 years ago, though.
  11. I would definately try the 25 pilots. Also, put the needles back in the 3rd(middle) position. That should take care of your bog. Actually, try the needles first.
  12. Dam! that got hot. The right front spring and rear spring collapsed. Every seal in that motor has to be gone, too.
  13. Sounds like there was a lack of communication somewhere, but anyway, he sent your carbs back, so he did'nt rip you off.
  14. Lmao! I don't think I could ever put a logo on me, but I would and WILL have a banshee tattoo .
  15. Keep it as light as possible. The heavier the trailer is, the less you can haul on it.
  16. I used to use spectro-4 10w-40 and switched to valvoline 10w-40 ATV oil.
  17. I don't remember, but I think it's 20-22 mm. I could be wrong, though. I use a vernier caliper to measure.
  18. Measure from the base(where the float bowl contacts the carb) to the bottom of the float( well, Top, since the carb must be upside-down to do it.)
  19. yamalube 2r 28:1 It's never done me wrong. I run it in my sled, too, which is also premix.
  20. You need to tap on it all the way around and then warm it up with a propane torch (WARM not hot, and only down near the axle.) If you get it hot it will weaken it, so just warm it a little. Then, while it's warm, drop some light oil or spray some PB blaster/WD-40, etc in the spline area. It will also help if the quad is on it's side, so that gravity helps the oil seep into the splines.
  21. Yep, I've seen one of the prototypes in action. Very light and fast, although a little on the pricey side.
  22. It's a nice theory, but it just does'nt work like that. you could get lucky, but chances are, a top end pipe would just make your low end porting useless. Listen to Banchetta! if you're gonna be running a lot in the woods and tight trails, PT mids will be way better than PC or toomey. . Even though the PTs are a low-mid pipe, you will still gain power all over. It'll just be concentrated more where you need it.
  23. I'm in, but I'll probably have to work saturday . I'll still be there if anyone is going to be there at least most of the day sunday. I don't care how cold it is. I'll might be there memorial weekend, too, even though it'll be crowded, but at least I know I won't be working.
  24. Sudco.com or go to mikuni.com and click on distributers, there might be one near you.
