What reeds do I have?
blk02banshee replied to Rare Scottish Tree Badger's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Here's a stock one...sorry about the size... I agree with "." , they do look a lot like boyesens. My old boyesens were the same color. -

I'll be there memorial weekend, but not sure if I'll get there friday night or saturday night(depends if I work saturday). -
I bet it's from washing it. A lot of banshees with stock carbs have that problem. Mine does it every time I wash it, run through water, and even if it's extremely foggy or humid out. Does it seem to clear up after riding it hard for a half hour or so?

Harold and Kumar go to white castle
blk02banshee replied to chronicwatson's topic in General Banshee Discussion
MC-A, Beastie boys right? White castle is an aquired taste. I pretty much grew up on white castles, and tend to crave it every so often. I had to bring this post back to the top, cause I've been burping and farting white castles for the past 2 days I don't think I've ever met anyone who would admit the LIKE white castle, but I think everyone that has had it, craves it from time to time. I love that movie. I've had many nights when I was a teenager, trying to get to white castle. -

Paddles are best, but knobbies will get you around. No insurance required, but you need a michigan ORV sticker and state park pass for each vehicle. There's a couple hotels and a lot of campgrounds you can stay at. -
if you could change 1 thing about the Banshee...

suspension or power valves -
I heard the tape, and he should be fired, or at least demoted to the bottom of the police force.

Thanks for all the replys. Bill, I'm no longer in Aurora, but that microwave wi-fi thing sounds interesting. I think you have to be within so many yards of the transmitter for it to work, though. I'm going to have to ask the people in my area what they use. My closest neighbor is a doctor and has a mansion, so I'm sure they have something decent. Maybe I can just pay them to let me link into their service.

Does anyone here use or have experience with satellite internet access? My new house is way out in the sticks, and I was told by both the phone and cable company that I will never see high speed internet there, for at least 10 years. Now, my only two options are dial-up, or satellite. The satellite system I was looking at is $60/month + $500 to buy the equipment. The download speed is between 500 and 800 kbps and upload is 50kbps, which is better than dial-up, but no where near the 3800+ kbps cable I'm on now .

gas mileage? and truck question
blk02banshee replied to demonspeeding42069's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I know, it seems impossible, but it gets great mileage for what it is. I can make it farther in that truck on a tank of gas, than my toyota or my girlfriend's 4 cyl ranger, and I only have a 16 gallon tank. Maybe it's running lean. -

I WANT to go, but don't know if I'll actually get there . My girlfriend's dying to go riding, so it's a possibility. Might only be sunday, though, depending on work. -
gas mileage? and truck question
blk02banshee replied to demonspeeding42069's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My boss claims to get 30 mpg in his 04 F-250 powerstroke, but he drives like an old lady. My 73 GMC 3/4 ton with 4.11 gears and 400 small block gets 18-20 mpg and my toyota 4runner V6 gets 16 -
I have the same pipes, and tried different clip positions, but mine definately runs best in the middle. As for the pilots, if it does'nt bog or stall taking off from a dead stop, and your airscrews are 1.5 turns out, you'll be ok, a 27.5 would work, but might be too rich in the summer time.

Put back on my air box, No lid
blk02banshee replied to 1sreamin350's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
What filter are you going to be running in the airbox? You'll probably have to go down a couple sizes, but it would'nt hurt to run it first and see how it runs and how the plugs look. -
Nope, I did'nt make it . I ended up working on my house, instead. I have a lot to do before I can move in. Hopefully, I can make it there the next time.

Sorry to hear about your sister. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. This is a fucked up world we live in, not only do we have terrorists killing us for being americans and christians, but we also have sick fucks like that, that go and kill innocent people for no reason whatsoever.

I might go, too. My shee is all black and I'll be driving a dark red toyota 4runner with a red 4x8 flat trailer. My flagpole is black and has duct tape up near the flag.

Thanks The HDs seem like the knobs are closer together, but I bet they have a lot better bite on the sides, and the tread looks deeper, too. I never got stuck in the mud with my XCs, but I never really went swamping or anything, either. As long as you keep them spinning, they keep you moving.

im shoping for a good air compressor
blk02banshee replied to redcell43's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I had a craftsman 5hp gas, 20 gallon and it kept up with all my air tools. I wish I would have kept it. -
I can tell you that the holeshots won't go through the mud like the spidertracs, BUT I think you will be happier with the way they handle. I had holeshot XCs for the longest time and loved them. They're very predictable in the handling department. I just mounted a new set of 20x11x9 XCRs today, and I think I'm going to like them even more.

Pro circuits! They work great for that kind of riding, and sound awsome.

What do you think about this.
blk02banshee replied to Banshee33's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You can't go wrong buying land, they don't make it anymore! Even if you buy just a little bit of land, someday it will be worth 20 times what you paid for it. My great grandma sold her farm years ago for $250,000, and now it's worth over a billion. -
ledofthezep needs some prayers
blk02banshee replied to zephead400ex's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My girlfriend knows someone who got that from eating at a damn salad bar, stale lettuce or something. Led should be ok, since he's getting treatment. He'll be in my prayers. -
I'm a Jack Daniels man, but if I had to choose a beer, it would be Amstel light. I used to like Old Style, though.

The term "jake brake" does come from the brand "Jacobs". The one on my truck has 3 settings, Hi, Med, and Low. On high, it uses all 6 cylinders, and without a trailer, it will send you into the windshield, lol. What's cool about mine, is that if I leave my cruise control in the ON position, the jake only comes on when I hit the brake peddle, and does'nt turn off until I touch the fuel or clutch peddle. makes it a lot easier to upshift, since I never touch the clutch when shifting.
