"This Banshee was built for The Yamaha Motor Corp. in the Newnan, Georgia production facility, by hardworking, American Craftsmen being finished and transported by the end of the year, 2001. Originally purchased new from a dealer sometime back in early to mid year of 2002. We are unaware of the original location of said dealer, but many attempts by this agency to uncover any sustantial leads in the search for this information have not yet been undiscovered. It was purchased by and rode by adult male for approxiamately 6-8 mos and one day while out riding somehow the raw, uncontrollable temper of this Incredible UnfortMachine, Bared her teeth and let the owner see the true terrifying nature of this beast. Polaris Predator Took A horrinendous Crap After a day of hard riding I later found out the previous owner installed a HMF Pipe and Muffler (EXTREMELY LOUD), Re-jetted the carb but Never Opened up the airbox, No Holes in Lid, No aftermarket High flow filter, Dumbass just left it the same. So it ran rich the whole 2 mos. I rode it and my limited knowledge of 4 strokes I just it was hard to start due to the mods he attempted to perform himself. So KABOOM went the motor. I really hated that bike, but my neighbors hatred far surpassed my own due to the early 6 am saturday and sunday morning preparations getting ready to go riding would take me an hour, at least, a can of starter fluid and a screw driver just to get it started. Never dawned on me that she only seemed to start w/o airbox lid? (alright I wasn't so brite either) So Ray told me about this 2002 banshee and some of it's past history so two days later, and after having the Carbs sync'd and a tune up completed prior to sale . I was the new owner of a Banshee! Even with the vast many years of riding 250Rs I had, I had never even riden a shee, let alone ever thought I would own one. So I was a little skeptical and unsure of being Classified as a Banshee Boy. Let's not even discuss the amount of Shit I would have to endure from my past teammates if it got out that I defected to the otherside. As some of the veterans know, Back in the day of the Two-Stroke wars between Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki. The Yamaha Banshee was The underdog. The unliked and teased Kid on the block that everyone picked on, In the pits and on the MX Tracks and in the Harescrambles, The Banshee Was laughed at. For some reason I think due to the height and location of the handlebar Placement they just didn't have the rock solid , Launch it in 4th WOT, Feel to them It just wasn't able to run quite as well as the suzuki LT250, The Enormously Awkward Behemoth LT500 ( what it lacked in handling by Far made up for it with it's awesome amount of power band) and "The Nimble King of The MX Track " The Honda Fourtrax 250R, let alone my Honduki Frankenstien of a Bike. So I never gave them much thought or respect, until the first day I really rode it, WOW! It Wasn't anything like what I reluctantly anticipated, Quick Precise Throttle Feel, Unbelievably Smooth and Predictable PowerBand, Stop on a dime Brakes, almost handled as good as the LT250 But not quite as good as my 250R! Feels a little Too tall for me (would've liked to have dropped the bars two inches straight down the steering shaft) But then I went to LSSP and found out why they call the Banshee the KING OF THE SAND! My whole outlook on this bike changed, It wasn't better than my 250R just a different bike for a different riding style, WAY TO GO YAMAHA! So There My sales pitch, Hoped you liked it.
