  1. I don't know where my digital calipers went and I thought this would be a question straightforward answer. I want an exact measurement not one from OEM.
  2. Should the flywheel just slide into place or does of take some handling?
  3. Well I didn't really know to put it on so I just made sure it sat fine, out the flywheel on and gave the nut hell with an electric impact lol. That's another question I was going to ask was how do you install it?
  4. He won't lend me money. Just spent $45 on an adjustable timing plate.
  5. I took my flywheel off today to check on my timing plate after modding mine and the flywheel key snapped in half and also my timing was off by a degree (sorry sprinklerman). I found my dremel so I tried to drill it out more and two of the holes accidently went all the way through so I ordered a Matoon adjustable plate. Anyone know the woodruff key size for the flywheel? I may be able to get it from my local hardware store just need to know the size.
  6. Well sorry I am limited to money and I can't get CPI's
  7. Cast is so brittle in everything else, just thought it would be the same for pistons which heat up to 200+ degrees farenheit.
  8. No mine when the slides stick will stick wot for a split second so you hear the first one bottom out and then a split second later you hear the other one drop.
  9. This is only $30 more than the pistons alone but it gives you everything else neede like the head and cylinder gasket, spark plugs, reed gaskets, and o-rings. http://www.ebay.com/itm/65mm-Pistons-Top-End-Gaskets-Spark-Plug-Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-1987-2006/390948689604?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D25881%26meid%3Dcba51dd5b5b04cf7938b2a50f5c3f0f2%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D10819%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D110825103983&rt=nc
  10. They are also cast (garage material). Those won't last long. I prefer Wiseco's.
  11. A lot of people on here including myself love running Wiseco. My bike was rebuilt 5 years ago and has about 120 hours on the motor with 125 psi each cylinder. The previous owner said it had 130 psi each after the last rebuild.
  12. If my coil fails looks like I already have a good replacement.
  13. Steal. I can't find any with just the expansion pipes for sale for atleast $300
  14. I didnt know where the dremel was so I said fuck it and hacked it with a grinder. Im not sure I will take the flywheel back off again. it seems like it went back down to stock timing, slower fires from the sounds of it.
  15. I love my FMF's. Only problems with mine are that the left side has a descent sized dent in it but thats about it. I have riden and raced a stock Shee against mine and I whooped it's ass by atleast a quarter of a mile. We were just going down a dirt rode. He is a family friend so I let him ride mine and he said he has never reached speeds like mine has and he didnt even hit 4th gear.
  16. What air filter set up are you running? That can be an idicator on why water is getting in there. Also before you take it out, my advice is to just push your thumb throttle all the way in. If you get maybe 7/8 of the way through the throttle and you have to push more to get it to go wot then it is still dirty. if you quickly release it too you should hear one of the carbs bottom out at a different time than the other.
  17. Either the needle or the float. the float can be set too low and it doesnt seal off the gas inlet. place your carb upside down and with the gasket in place and measuring calipers measure from the gasket on the carb body to the top of the float. Bend the tabs on the float either way so that each little float measures at 21mm. Also the most common way to tell a needle is bad is by looking closely in the light, you may see a ring goings around the tip. That is a major indication that it is bad.
  18. You can definently get rid of the little mount that held the TORS next to where the coil mounts. Like jriffe said don't go crazy and shave too much off.
  19. Carb slides are sticking for sure. Mine does it about every month after letting it sit. I fixed it recently by taking a file and filling down the little track that the slide folows and that fixed my problem. Make sure also to take a paper towel or two and wipe off the slide and the barrel inside the carb body that the slides lowers down. You may occasionally find some gas and that will cause throttle sticking after some setting.
  20. No, advanced it by 4 degrees. I modded the stock timing plate though.
  21. I'm starting to think I fucked that up so I will buy a timing plate by Chariot soon
  22. Yeah that was after the timing plate advance. It doesn't have much get up and go to it. Also I have FMF's not DMC.
  23. I'd say in some dimensions its about 2 inches wide, maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch deep
  24. My Banshee has never really performed all that great and I am starting to wonder if the dents in my headers are the cause. I will take pictures tomorrow but is it possible? It seems like there is really no low end.
