    It is remotely possible. Your cold starting it with choke adding more fuel. After that it's leaning out real bad. If that's what jets are in it it's a miracle it hadn't grenaded on you. What's your elevation

    NO!!!!! With just fatty's you should be around 260 and probably 27.5 on pilots. This is around sea level.

    You may have to jet differently with and without lid. Pick one and stick with it. Only make yourself have to jet for temp and elevation changes. You will drive yourself nuts jetting for lid on and lid off every other day. Jmo

    Use a mm or 64ths scale on the surfaces. If there are any gaps this will make it very obvious. This is highly unlikely but worth a look
