    Timing may or may not. After every mod small or big a jetting check needs to be the first order of business

    Check everything else first. Everything except the Cdi is testable. Sleeper is right my situation was abnormal. Forget the Cdi for the moment and at least wait til the oem coil comes in

    I had the same issue. It would spark then may not spark again for 100 kicks. It turned my Cdi was bad. I would suggest checking everything from parking brake to wiring harness to pickup gap etc before ordering a Cdi.

    That's just a suggestion. Lol A lot of people run 40:1 and 50:1 but with such a high strung engine I think 32:1 is the way to go. Jmo

    Run it at 32:1 all the time. Run a bunch of two strokes that way. No problems ever. From break in until death

    You gotta have thick skin here. I guarantee you will not find more knowledge anywhere else. You don't really want to talk to some old heads about two stroke theory. Two strokes have come a long way since 86. Not saying you have to use a builder, but at least call one to let them help guide you down the right path.

    If my memory serves me right that parking brake wire doesn't need to be grounded. When it grounds it limits the motor. Just cut it and tape it or something that will eliminate that wire from touching anything.
