    I've been doing research and I plan on just getting my stock OEM stator rewound once it craps out. My only concern is that I've read all these horror stories about Ricky Stator. What's the real deal here ?

    Putting the carbs back together I forget which slide goes into which one, when looking at the intake side of the carb does the slide with the flat bottom go in or the D shaped bottom go in

    Try not riding it so hard lol. Well for starters, what kind of coolant are you using? Stock or aftermarket rad? Are all the heat fins intact and not bent ? Is your jetting correct ?

    The rear axle rock guard is all bent to hell, should I a) take it off, heat it up with the torch at work and bend it back OR throw it in the scrap pile and get a full bottom end plate cover

    If your in Michigan cross the boarder into Ontario, banshees are pretty cheap here. I know they stopped making them in the states in 2006 but they kept makin them here well into 2008.

    What do trail passed cost ? I know ofsc trails passed are $150 for me cause I have a 96. Do you need plates and insurance like the sleds do ?

    I got mine for $1250 knowing it needed work, but now I'm doing stuff to it that I just feel it needs, I'm very maticulous with this sorta stuff, it's either perfect or nothing!

    Agreed, I haven't rode my bike for more than 10 minutes since I bought it 2 months ago. I've spent over $500 in parts so far and atleast 15 hrs just retreading bolts and bolt holes, changing oils and making minor adjustments. Another week and I'm sure ill be good to go! Take your time

    Yea I was pretty much going for improvements from the very last year they manufactured it. I'd like to see a bigger overall engine like a 400cc
