  1. Perhaps one of your pipes is clogged ? I would switch back to dual carbs as well. Try dual carbs and see what happens
  2. If it floods than you need to adjust your float arm. You tube mikuni carb cleaning video.
  3. So my buddy's she was in a bit of a wreck from his own stupidity. He ended up breaking a shock. He got new ones but one of the bolts on the upper connection is bent and won't come out. We've hit it with a sledge about 1000x and it won't budge. Any ideas ?
  4. No I have 96 mxz 583 I know there's no TOR system I was just making a reference
  5. If you got with a J arm suspension you can always buy an A arm conversion kit

    Toomey pipes

I there, want toomey pipes for my 87 banshee. Must be able to ship to Canada. They don't have to be mint but should be respectable
  7. LOL I can feel my wallet getting lighter already. I think I will stick to twist throttle, I used to ride bikes more often than not, so that's what I'm used to.
  8. I did, I have an idea of what to do now.
  9. Yea so it's like the mikunis on my sled, what a stupid system this TOR thing is. Out of curiosity, what are the size if these carbs ?
  10. Who makes the kit ? Am I able to keep the twist throttle or do I need a thumb lever
  11. I didn't buy it cause of the plastics lol. I bought it cause the price was right and so I have something to ride in the summer. Sleds don't like the heat ya know. But seriously, do I need a kit to remove the TORS ? Pretty good with mikuni carbs, just never dealt with these before...
  12. Alright so this 87 banshee looks pretty good and runs, compression is good but the carbs need a tune up. It has a twist throttle and the TORS are still installed. After looking at it I'd like to get rid of them, what do I have to do ? Also, it's got some odd pipes on it that I'm not to sure of, are these stock or aftermarket ?
  13. Did you pull the plugs and crank the motor over 1000x's to get the water out? I'm not being rude it's an honest question, had to do it on my sled, FYI don't bother using the same plugs, get new ones.
  14. Ok thanks everyone, and don't worry same thing happens on dootalk.com
  15. It's already like that for my ski doo and I. I'm doing a top end right meow
  16. Sweet, so anything I should be aware of or look for ? Known problems etc...
  17. Dannnng!!!! So should I go for it ? $2500 CDN
  18. Rare to find ? Or rate parts available ?
  19. Hello to all, this is my first post, been reading here for a couple of weeks now. So let me get down to my first question, I'm in the market for my first banshee, my friend has one an I love it, I found one for sale it's a 1998. Looks to be in good condition. I'm pretty new when it comes to banshees but I'm fairly skilled when it comes to mechanical stuff. My question is was 1998 a good year for the banshee ? Also what else would you recommend I look for ?
