  1. This is what it was. That thing is a little hard to hold while you tighten it so I just bumped it with the impact a couple times and bent the washer over more.
  2. The engine was toast. The cylinders were already bored .080 over so it now has factory stock cases, crank, and cylinders. Its mostly stock now except fmf pipes and K&N and +4 timing plate and still has the vforce 3 reeds on it. Im guessing jets are going to be pretty close to factory sizes with just the bolt ons.
  3. Ok thanks guys. The cable is fine, the arm on top of case moves with clutch handle but nothing happens until half way down. Hopefully something simple. It was running really rich out of the bottom end too. I'm gonna pull carbs and check jetting. It originally had a Hot Rods 4mil crank and I cheaped out and put a factory crank back in during rebuild. Are the jet sizes stamped on all the jets? I cleaned carbs since it had been sitting a while and didn't see any jet sizes or numbers stamped.
  4. Hey guys I finally got my banshee all back together (thanks for all the parts NYUK) and went through the break in etc. Everything looked perfect. Yesterday was the first day I was hitting WOT through all the gears and making it hate it's life and I lost a ton of clutch. When I first started I had to have my cable adjust almost all the way out anyways to get the slack out. I was playing my pasture a few hours later and wasn't riding hard but went to grab the clutch and there's nothing there. The handle flops until it's over half way pulled in. The cable's not broke or anything like that it just has a ton of slop. From half way pulled in to all the way pulled in I have SOME clutch. I'm going to tear it down (again) tonight but looking for expert thoughts. ?? Thanks a lot
  5. Got my parts today and they look great!! Thanks! tt
  6. It's a easier than it sounds. Pull the engine and tear it down. It's like 14 nuts and bolts to split the cases. The top half comes out, the bottom stays with the transmission and crank. I'd get a seal kit and complete gasket kit. You''ll also need gasket maker and I would HIGHLY reccomend getting the book. I'm pretty sure it's even posted on here somewhere. If you can handle a top end rebuild or similiar then you can handle it.
  7. Part the Brute Force and build a Banshee! jk If the motor is good you can recover your $500 and then some just on it I would think. Or build it for your wife and keep it. I can't wait for my son to get big enough to buy stuff for "him"
  8. I would jump on it, especially if motor is good.
  9. Isnt Sandfest in April? Im going on the BansheeHQ ride on the first weekend in Oct. I havent been to Little Sahara since i was 10 yrs old on my honda 70 three-wheeler! But yes waynoka okla.
  10. HA! Nicely done.. I went down to Slow'Reillys and bought a set. I just need them to last 2-3 days for the little sahara ride. thanks guys
  11. I just bought one same way. I bought some cases, crank and cylinders from NYUK. Send him a PM. Also watch the for sale section. I've been buying tons of stuff off guys really reasonable. You can do a 4mil, port and polish, +4 timing and other small things and have a nice running bike and not have a ton of money invested.
  12. What is the proper gap on pick up coil? .010?? I had an air leak on left carb where crossover tube/boost bottle connects to the intake boot and mine was doing the same thing. I was doing a break in with 16:1 mix and right side was smoking really bad and left side was clear. Mine also was idling high and running away (dead giveaway lean condition)
  13. According to your interests, not a problem. Maybe you guys could talk about the race at one bar. Then travel to another bar and agree to race and schedule said race. Then travel to a race designated type area. Then you kick the shit out of that four stroke and your princess will also love you forever and you live happily ever after. The End
  14. Sorry link didn't work. It was a pic of Phelps bike in for sale section "99 727 serval". I'm just looking for TrailTech looking lights. 35 watt. Anybody know? thanks---
  15. Been Googling for days. Can somebody please tell me where to get these trail tech looking lights? Ive talked to several who said they're about $50-60 but don't remember where they bought them. Thanks! My link
  16. Replaces factory line bolt?
  17. ok. will they thread in to oem master cylinder somehow or have to modify?
  18. Thanks I'll check in to that stuff. I'm new to the Banshee world.
  19. The PO shaved the headlight mounts but I'm planning to run at Little Saharah here in Okla. Has anybody else dealt with this? Do they mount on the upper shock tower? I was going to buy some used OEM lights and make brackets but everybody is knocking them for being really dim. Any input? Also, what is everybody doing with the older bikes that didn't come with a tail/stop light? Thanks-
  20. Got my parts thanks. Nice parts nice prices! Can't go wrong here. tt
  21. If engine deal doesnt go through I'm good with those cylinders!
  22. Trying to get the fool to answer his phone. Hopefully go pick it up this weekend without the wife knowing. (( I can't afford a divorce, got a banshee to build ))
  23. I'm getting ATE UP with this Banshee fever.. Found this on c-list when looking for a frame (mine was welded on). Need expert eyes please. Aftermarket A-arms? Swingarm and axle too? It's different than mine so I'm assuming aftermarket stuff. $500 for the whole thing minus motor and tires. Opinions? http://tulsa.craigslist.org/for/3126975117.html
