  1. But a drag port on race gas can have a fairly broad powerband. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  2. It would be good to have your builder look at the cyls and tell you how much more there is to be had power wise without getting too peaky. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  3. I just use my old factory coolant bottle and a factory tee fitting . A little pump gas @ 20:1 in it and let the bike suck it dry. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  4. Good looking out man. Thanks. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  5. Purging takes all of 5 minutes. I also agree with whst cam said about peaky power. ..which is what you will get going a drag port and pump gas...compared to race gas and a drag port. IMO, you are better going to a broad style power delivery if you must keep pump gas. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

    WTB Axle

I just pulled one off of a 2006. Everything is in very good condition. Do you need hubs and all or just the axle it self?
  7. Busted. haha. Good 'ol Finchole,,knowing what stuff costs off the top of his head!
  8. Last time i was there i used USD ..i don't even remember seeing anything else. But thats been a couple years.
  9. 50k,,no air filter FTW!
  10. Haha. I have some hubs already,,couldn't sell them.
  11. I will say i like the updated reed stops. They "look" like they should improve reed life. Whats funny is how they mimic the factory stoppers that we are so quick to throw away right off the bat. I know there's a lot more to reed performance than just the stoppers , but i got a kick out of the similarities.
  12. You can most of the time,,but "drag port" and "pump gas" shouldn't be used much in the same sentence . (IMO)
  13. Pro Circuits will "hit harder " than PT Mids in my experience. PT mids are really smooth on how the power comes on. That being said,id want smooth,,not a "hit" if i was wanting a wheelie machine...more controllable.
  14. Yep^. Funny how real world experience changes things. +10 and a NEWER R6/R1 is a very good budget combo. I liked it better than a lowering block because it doesn't drop the shock link down where it can drag in the sand and bottom out. It'll work on a +12 too,,if you aren't too heavy and the spring and shock are in good shape..but itll take all the preload you have more than likely. I'm 210lbs in gear and run 1/2 the preload on the shock (2009 R6) with a +10 and stock link. I don't bottom out and my swinger sits just barely above level. Like i said earlier, it doesn't bottom out over some nasty whoops,,but i wouldn't jump it either ( why you would jump a +10" i dont know.)
  15. I see what you did there. The original movie was before a lot of these guys time though. haha
  16. Dont get me wrong, an R6 wont compare to a STD travel float or comparable quality shock, but it'll get you low and give you enough travel for everyday sand drags. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  17. If you run it on a link there's enough travel for your average dune-drag racer. I hit plenty of whoops @ LS with out bottoming out...and they weren't too little and the speeds were pretty good too. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  18. I didnt know you did a lot of dune/ dragging ? The "comfort" level depends on the length of swinger you put the R1/6 shock on. I run one on a +10 and i have no complaints as far as "comfort" go.
  19. Go as fat as you have, then lean it down until its right.
  20. R6 or R1 shock will do that.
  21. Just buy some hubd money bags. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  22. If i were you, id definitely plan ahead for the next BHQ ride at LS Oklahoma. Its well worth the trip . Whenever the next date is set. Going to Tylers backyard on the other hand,,,,,that will more than likely lead to some strange man-on-man activities that you might not like to participate in....just saying.
  23. Sounds weird when you put it that way. Haha Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  24. You can do a plug chop for needle position. Just do a half throttle run and follow the same procedure as a full throttle chop. Fyi. After you feel what the bike should feel like on the needle, you can do it just by riding it. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
