  1. Good to know. Guess that's why Kevin recommended not using it w the shift star mod.
  2. Good deal...I will give Kevin a ring then since I purchased all my other stuff from him and he has excellent customer service. Can I use a cut transmission with the modded shift shaft and low tension spring along with the modded shift star? I've heard you can't use them together. Any advice on that would be appreciated. Thanks for every ones help so far!
  3. pm best price for cases shipped....thanks.
  4. im interested in the cases if you still have them......let me know....thanks
  5. I currently have them on my banshee......seem to be an awsome tire. I have Holeshot GNCC's on my LTR 450 and I believe I like the Kenda Kutter XC's on my shee better.
  6. Can Kevin at HJR get the stock cut gears for me? I bought all my other stuff from him and would like to continue to support him if I could.
  7. Thanks camatv... I will definitely look into that! I agree with you, no point in just putting a band aid on the bike. Fix it right and enjoy it without worry. I assume RDZ or the above site is the people to call?
  8. Coryv4...that sounds like what I'm looking for. If the modded shift shaft and acentric adjustment don't fix this I'm going to look into this mod for sure!
  9. 99% of the time I use the clutch...I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to up shift under WOT sometimes without clutching. Not a huge deal to me. As long as I can shift up and down through all the gears I'm happy lol.
  10. I'd love it to shift like stock and beat on it hard...and still upshift at WOT without the clutch sometimes. This would be the ultimate set up for me. I guess I will give the shift shaft mod a try from FAST, adjust the acentric screw at the same time. If this fails...then I will call up one of the above guys and get one cut...I had a perfectly good tranny I gave away, should have kept it for a core to send out so I would've had very little down time lol
  11. Depending on your location in KY, you could drop over into WV and hit the Hatfield McCoy trail system. Plenty of good riding there!
  12. I thought I had it centered up pretty good...should I try to adjust it more to one side or another? I assume as close to dead center as possible. Also is there any way to test it before putting it back together after adjusting it? I hate tearing something down over and over trying to get it right.
  13. Also would a worn shift shaft cause this ...would a modded shift shaft and low tension spring maybe cure this? I have a modded shift star now. I would rather be able to fix it without splitting the cases again if possible.
  14. Well the bike was mx'd before, sold to a 17 year old kid that trashed the bike and motor. He had no money to fix it and I scored it for a few hundred bucks, stripped it and built it like new. I was thinking maybe the transmission was worn too. It's a shame I didn't catch it before and just fix it. Now I gotta tear it down again lol. If I get the gears cut my question is can I get it cut for my riding style? I want to be able to upshift and downshift whenever I need/want to. I ride xc/ woods and need to be able to shift it like a stock transmission. Who can do this for me or am I asking for too much?
  15. Mods are in my signature. I'm having a hard time getting my shee to shift in 4-5-6 gears under hard acceleration. 1-2-3 shift relatively easy. Could it be I'm making too much power that I need a cut transmission? Bent shift shaft? Need a modded shift shaft with low tension spring? Clutch adjustment? I'm kind of clueless where to start. It will shift into all gears as long as I'm not cranking on it hard. Also neutral seems to be a little tough to find ....maybe that's just me or normal for a banshee. Thanks in advance.
  16. Thanks for the help! Any sponsors sell the cr switch?
  17. no problem ....good luck. I'm not the best at jetting but after LOTS of reserch on here and messing with mine I think I might be starting to get a grasp on it all lol.
  18. I run a ProDesign tether now....is this one ok to run on my cr switch/ tether combo? Or do I need to order another tether?
  19. thanks camatv....that's what I was looking for. One in case I take a sudden departure from my bike and one just to kill it when I stop or want to kill it for a plug chop. Do you know any sponsors that I can order one from on here? I'd rather buy from them as opposed to e-gay. I figured the wiring would be relatively simple.
  20. I buy them at the parts store. NGK br8es.
  21. Basically I was going to use the cr style to shut the bike down for plug chops. It gets a little hairy pulling the tether at WOT, trying to pull the clutch in, and get it stopped. I know it seems a little silly lol.
  22. I currently run a pro design tether switch with the minimum amount of wires possible on my bike. I was wanting to add a cr style or yz style push button kill switch also. This would simplify shutting the bike down during plug chops and turning it off. How would I go about doing this and what style is the best option...cr, yz, rm, kx? Like I said I run the minimum wiring required on a banshee...no lights, no key switch, ect. Thanks.
  23. BR8ES plugs...possibly check carb sync.
  24. You wanted to know what needles I ran in my other thread ...I'm using CEL needles. From what I'm learning these carbs like the pilots lean. I was at a 150 pilot, now 148, and I'd say I will drop again during my tuning process.
  25. I'm running CEL needles. Camatv...I think once I get it 100% dialed in I will really enjoy these carbs. I'm getting closer and closer ....
