  1. I have a problem with my rear brake ....I took it riding for a day and noticed my pedal was getting weak. Looked at the rear pads and the inside pad was wore completely out. The outside pad was still like new. Does this sound like the slide pins are worn/dirty or my caliper is sticking causing wear to the inside pad? Whatever it is I want to fix it properly.

  4. Well first thing I'm gonna do is gear it down a tooth ...its a little high strung right now for sure. If that don't cut it I'm gonna try some stock carbs. May be a while before i get it going again...I'm getting ready to send my trans off to camatv to mod mine.
  5. Robert...I just posted at the same time as you did. I was thinking maybe get some cheap stockers and see what happens. I know i will lose a few ponies but will most likely gain the bottom I want. Just wanted to get some opinions before i throw more money at the banshee again.
  6. I like to stay on the pipe but i ride with some side by sides and have to slow it down sometimes. Most of my riding is woods riding....very similar to gncc style riding. I just like to have power hit hard and fast without any lag. I'm fine if I'm with sport quads but sucks when I'm with side by sides and 4x4 bikes it kinda sucks riding around in 2nd or 3rd. So gear down or carbs down ....or both?
  7. Looking for opinions on gearing my bike. I mostly ride woods and have a dune/play ported 4mil with 35 pwk air strikers on it. I can never use 5th or 6th so i was wondering if dropping a tooth from stock would help out greatly or if I'd be happier by going back to 28 mm carbs. I just want snappy throttle response without the lag I get from bigger carbs. I know i will lose a little horsepower and top end but i think I'd be happier being able to use all its power if that makes sense if i went to 28 mm carbs. Mods are in my signature....changing sprocket would definitely be cheaper and easier. I just never realy heard of many 4mil owner using a 13 tooth.

  9. Talked to JD yesterday and he's mailing back my blingstar stuff for the LTR 450. He said that he has a design for the sprocket guard that will be made in a couple weeks for us. Now the rotor guard is a pain to make....he said he had his banshee on the stand to mock something up. He's got a couple of ideas for that part that he's working on. Hopefully it won't be too much longer as riding season is approaching. I'm sure it will be a quality part with whatever he comes up with.

  11. Sounds great JD ....I also figured that the rotor side was gonna be a little bit of a headache.
  12. I also need these too....I now have my banshee down and my ltr 450. I got bored and took my ltr apart to install cams, piston, power commander V, intake, carbon plastics, custom graphics kit, blingstar stuff, fasst flexx bars....JD you're gonna bankrupt me if you don't get these done soon. I get the itch and keep dropping money on the Suzuki lol.
  13. Talked to JD about a week ago. He has not started on these yet with all the other work he has going at his shop. Most likely it will be a couple weeks before I hear from him. I will keep you all posted and get some picks up too when i get the parts back.
  14. It will have to match the sprocket mounting bolts....this is how it will bolt up. So hopefully it will work for you. I'm not really familiar with the BOSS hub that you have. So I can't say for sure.

  18. Awesome ....I can't wait to see the final result when you're done with these. Keep us updated JD when you get a chance. I know its tough when its a one man show but I'm sure the wait will be worth it.
  19. I won't forget....I will pass along all info and pics when available. Sucks having both my bikes tore apart in the garage waiting lol. It's been nice enough to ride everyday since I took them apart....just my luck.
  20. I'm also having a bunch of heavy smoke out of mine too...I mix castor 927 at 40:1. I just synchronized my carbs yesterday and put in smaller pilots. I believe I installed 45's or size smaller. I wrote it down at home and 1 3/4 turns out on the air screws. These are pwk 35 air strikers if it makes a difference. I'm afraid to keep going smaller and lean this thing out too much LOL. I'm around 2400 ft. Maybe I need to drop another couple of sizes....Idk. I have even smoke....its just heavy. Not trying to hijack your thread.
