  1. That's cool. I figured shipping would be a little tough. Thanks
  2. That was off e-gay. A guy that sells banshee parts and frames. I thought it was a little pricey myself.
  3. What year is the frame. Let me know. Thanks.
  4. Pm me a vin # and let me do a check on it. I may be able to track the original owner down by chance. Also to make sure it isn't hot LOL. Or you can post it on here.
  5. LOL. I think I'm just gonna buy an 06 frame with a title. Sounds much easier. I found one for about 700 shipped. Seems high but Idk.
  6. How did u get the frame and what's the history of it?
  7. Good idea. I will look into this. Thanks.
  8. What's a good price ? Let me know.
  9. The 11 digit vin is what threw me off. Guess I will just have to buy an 06 frame.
  10. I cleaned the paint off the entire left side of the frame in that location....that's all the #'s that's on it though! I have no idea!!!???
  11. Can u file for a lost title and get one?
  12. I know...I was being a sarcastic lol. I know they will take it ALL no questions asked other than me buying stolen property. Well, I went and checked again and only 11 digits for a vin. Looks as if someone ordered a replacement frame from Yamaha...now what?! I think I'm screwed and just need to find an 06 frame with a title!
  13. Thanks everyone. I live in West Virginia and our dmv hates atv's it seems. I will check into this and dnr thing as well. I can do an auto check at work too..similar to carfax...should give me a little info as to the dealer that sold it and where it was originally titled. Time for a little work on my part. I only pulled 11 digits on the vin "3GG03-041123". I think I'm missing 8 more #'s ???!!!
  14. it would suck if they did reply for an abandoned title.....they I'd have to strip my bike to give them a frame lol. I know I'd love to just find an 06 frame!!!!!! That would be too simple though....
  15. I purchased my 03 banshee as a totally trashed bike lol....it didn't have a title, so I fixed up a bill of sale that we both signed and had notorized. Since then I swapped out cases for 06 cases and I would like to find an 06 frame with a title so I can make it an 06 model. I was thinking about buying an 06 replacement frame from Yamaha (if they still make them) but I know they do not come with vin #'s. My question would be, how would I go about getting a title for a replacement frame? Do they provide you with a new MSO when I purchase a new frame? Or will the DMV buck me on this if I try to take it in and get the frame titled since I have no title now. I just don't want to piss away 500-600 for no reason only to find out I can't get a title! If I could find a nice 06 frame with a title....problem solved!!! I tried getting a title for my current 03 frame but the DMV was VERY LACKING in trying to help me track down the previously "titled" owner. Guess I can contact my state trooper neighbor....he'd do a vin check for me as a favor to track down the previous titled owner (although I doubt it was ever titled, most likely just an MSO). Sorry for rambling on....I would just like to get a title to my 03 frame....making it an 06 would be a huge plus though. I'm sure someone has been in my situation before....thanks for the help.
  16. Still looking for one...must be an 06
  17. Looking for a 2006 frame with title. As long as it's straight I don't care about the paint since I'm gonna powder coat it anyways. Let me know by pm'ing me or posting here. Thanks.
  18. I had the same issue with a pancake bearing install. I bought it from HJR. It was hitting the cover on a fresh ground up rebuild. I couldn't figure it out until I spoke with Kevin and discovered a longer bolt was sent to me by accident. Not a big deal I told him not to waste the money on shipping me out a new one...I just cut it down a few threads and notched the end for future adjustments with flat head screwdriver. This should fix your problem. I about went nuts trying to figure out what was going on with mine lol. By the way I'm not bashing HJR ...excellent customer service, great products, and awesome work!!!! Good luck.
  19. ok so it's been a WHILE since I have been able to touch my banshee with work, kids, blah blah blah..... anyways I just put in 142 mains dropping from the 148's that I had in it. I am currently running on the 4th notch on my needles (1 being at the bottom, 5 at the top). Should I reset it back to the middle clip or just try it out with my smaller mains I just put in? I left the 48 pilots in it even though I think they are a little rich too. I have 45 and 42 pilots if I need them but figured I'd leave them alone until I resolved my problem with getting into the powerband in 4th, 5th, 6th gear. Although the bike is quite lazy down low compared to my friends fmf piped banshee. I assume I need to dial in the mains and needle position then fine tune the pilots. Another stupid question ....when adjusting the idle on pwk 35 airstrikers do I need to adjust both idle screws to achieve proper idle. It seems I can basically get it close on idle with equal turns out and then adjust just one idle screw to get the idle perfect. Also the new carbs have 1 choke per carb....is there every a need to lift up both chokes to get it to start? I've always just used the choke on one carb to get it to start if it's cold and been sitting for a while. Sorry for the dumb questions and I've never used aftermarket carbs on a banshee. Thannks again.
  20. I have PC's on my bike and love them. I really don't think you can go wrong with either. My PC's definitely have a hit to them and pull very well even in the upper power band. I don't think I could have picked a better pipe for my woods/xc riding. Good luck.
  21. Just looked and I have some 145 and 142 mains, 45 and 42 pilots laying around. So I guess I will reset my needle to the center position and throw in some 142 mains. Hopefully it gets better! Might as well put on some new NGK spark plug boots while I'm at it to eliminate that as a problem too.
  22. Temps are changing here. I've went from 70-80 down to the 50-70 range. I don't do much winter riding either. I always mix fresh fuel up. Its never older than a few weeks old. Hell it burns fuel like no other machine I've ever owned lol so its relatively fresh all the time.
  23. This thread has been amazingly informative to me! I've got some smaller pilots, and I believe a size or two smaller mains at home. I'm going to get some NGK spark plug boots while I'm at it too. I believe the part# was on a thread a few days ago. Drop a couple main sizes and see what happens. I wish I was lucky enough to live in a rural area like I used to live so I could get some nice plug chops by zipping down the hard road real quick for tuning.
  24. LS3 are you saying drop it back to the middle clip or raise it to the very top clip? I had it in the middle clip then raised it up one position to lean it out. It may have helped a little but I really didn't see a drastic improvement to be honest.
  25. Well a big thanks to both of you guys. I'm going to drop two main sizes and see how it does when I get a chance to take it back out again. I don't think one size down is going to clean up the plugs that much lol. I will report back when I get it back out with new jetting. Thanks again
