  1. I do believe that was my problem, my intake has been opened up and has the little boost ports added to them. I am sure that my left cylinder pulls a little more than my right, causing my right cylinder to run lean with the single carb.
  2. Well, I don't have a 4mill set up and i have heard they have great all around pull. The only reason I swapped for duals was because one cylinder was running hotter than the other with the single, I bet some guys don't even know if they have that issue. I'm not about having the most modded quad, but I am about having my quad running top notch.
  3. I think I could never dial it in because the single was not feeding the engine evenly. I can now know for sure both my pistons are getting exactly the same amount of air/fuel. The single ran good and looked sweet all polished up. Maybe my set up just wasn't working all together? But all I changed was the intake and now even in 4th and 5th the wheels come up if I peg it. As I stated before, I have no issue's at all with the single. I think if you run them then everything else needs to be set up for them.
  4. Well I got rid of the single 38 and have been getting the jetting dialed in on the new 28's. Haven't noticed any low end loss, but I can deffinetly notice a difference in the mid to high. The gears seem a little longer and the front seems a little lighter. I am very impressed with the performance and tomorrow I will be riding and racing with friends. All I wan't to do is ride the shee, I went riding twice yesterday. The only thing that is going to take a little time is the tension in the thumb throttle, 15-20 minutes of good riding and I have thumb fatigue, but I am not concerned with that. I know it feels faster, but this weekend I will find out for sure, so will my buddies,
  5. If the float is full of gas then it has a hole in it and needs to be replaced.
  6. If it is for a wet clutch it should be fine. I ran 10-30 motor oil in mine when I got it, it slipped in the higher rpm's. I switched to the same fluid I run in my street bike (which has way more power than the shee) and haven't had a problem. I never fully understood why it recommends 10-30 motor oil, there is no way I would put 10-30 motor oil in my street bike
  7. Get a shop manual, it will give you pictures and step by step on how to adjust. That is were you need to get your info!!
  8. I could be wrong but I believe those are for a butterfly throttle body and run off a vacuum port.
  9. Think we want to see some pics!!
  10. True and welded crank, shave .030 off the stock head, adjustable timing plate at +4, and some wiseco pro lite piston's. Still mostly stock, but will pull a little harder. Shift star and a adjustable timing plate can be found at FAST or just google it.
  11. I ride 95% trails and have had a few 4stroke quads, they all have faults. The funny thing is you are comparing the bottom end of a 700cc and 350cc engine, why not just upgrade with more cc's? Efi engines can be a real pain, especially if you don't know shit about them!! Live and learn! Dollar 4 dollar you will get twice the performance out of a 2stroke compared to any 4stroke.
  12. How are you checking for spark?
  13. I would assume having the intake ports opened up along with the small boost ports is a good step above stock. May not be noticeable, but then again most single mods are not.
  14. Are you sure it is a spark issue, not fuel, air, or compression issue?
  15. Is the flywheel nut torqued down, sometimes they will loosen up?
  16. Thanks for the info!!
  17. If you are going to only sell localy I don't know if it is worth it, but then again it could work out. You pay to sell things on ebay cause many more people will view it there than any where else. I like ebay, if it's not that great then low ballers will take it. But if it is good stuff, then the low ballers will be left behind. Good luck!
  18. Thank you very much, been wondering but never asked. The one to the far right is exactly what mine look like, but most commonly I see the one all the way to the left. So those boost ports are added on? I also here peolpe talking about serval cylinders, are those different as well?
  19. When looking into the intake ports of the cylinders I noticed some have the 2 main ports and a smaller port on the roof. I have also noticed some that have the 2 main ports and 2 smaller one's on the side and the one on the roof. I was just wondering what is the difference of the two?
  20. Been there, use some loctite!
  21. Thanks, last carb I had, had the idle and choke on the same knob, single intake. Waiting for my filters and sync tool now. As is, it starts on the very first kick, every time!!
  22. I have two questions about the 28's that I cant find. The spring loaded screw coming out at a downward angle just behind the slide on the intake side, what is that one for? Are there any tubes/vents that need to be connected between each carb, I hear guy's saying that without some tube connected to the stockers that it will not run, never had any stockers so I don't know?
  23. Or clogged jets!
  24. Sounds like it could be getting too hot, mains sound a little small!
  25. Thanks, I will probably get one and try it out!
