  1. I run it in Drag racing car aswell with a Aluminum 13.5:1 427C.I Big Block. Never ever had a problem.
  2. pretty sure piston ring gap is 12 thou...??
  3. You ll prolly wanna go with a hot rods longrod . Stock length or stroker. Very strong nicely made crank. Longrods will make your pistons bind less to the cyclinder walls. Are you looking to get different jugs as well?? or just use your olds jugs? I had a 404 big bore/stock length. It was a awesome little motor. great for trailing and open areas. She was a screamer. You can do lots of stuff. You can also build a nice ported 350. options are endless!! Stroker cranks are good. But you ll have to send your old jugs away and get them match ported with a stroker crank. All depends how much money your willing to blow...
  4. You wont notice much difference from before. It will change. yes. but i dont think you will have to worry. You said it was close. maby it will be bang on now.
  5. i have not dyno'd the green. but the blue makes more horse power then any other race fuel iv tried. VP. Sunoco 104 and 110. C15. 100LL is the shit!! and you can cut back a little oil in your mix becuase the led lubricates.
  6. From my experiences, at WOT , If it spitters and sputters and wont rev out, tells me your rich. Before you do anything. bring a 13/16 wrench and gloves, run it WOT and pull the Cluch in, shut her down, pull the plugs immediately. and see what they look like. Wet and dark, your rich. White or dry and clean. your Lean I would bet your rich. Usually if your lean it will ping and rev out like crazy.
  7. I had a similar problem. Not sure if this is your case, but i had the exact same thing happen to me that your describing. What happened was that under load, i was actually droping a cyclinder due to bad Plug caps. so it was just running on 1 cyclinder. but sounded crisp and was revving high. just not pulling hard at all!!!
  8. Lol good movie. But i dont under stand why they said that in the movie?? Your suppose to double clutch a Big rig! not a race car or a banshee!!?? If you double cluch in a race you "will" lose..
  9. is it normal for the quad to be in gear. Cluch lever pulled it. and when i rev it, it kinda creeps forward.?
  10. Ya their more of a mid range power pipe. The the top end is pretty decent on them. Their are better top end pipes out their no doubt about it. But the fatties work good from mid to top. Which i like.
  11. FMF Fatties will work pretty good for that set up too i think. If your planing to drive it around home and fields and maby the odd trail id go with the FMF Fatties. They have a Good mid and top power range.
  12. Wouldnt wanna go any less then a 21 cc.
  13. Usually External temperature is close to water temperature. On the race car if the water temp gauge is reading 180. The Laser Temp will read very close to that on the head or the block. I assume Banshee will be the same way.
  14. 421 is Running Bad ASS

  15. I had a Similar problem. I put new Plug boots on and fixed the problem!! they couldnt deliver enough juice when i was reving er out with a load on it. In Neutral it would sound and run fine. But once i put a load on it,it would drop a cyclinder at higher RPM's.
  16. It shifts fine when you let off the throttle quickly between shifts??
  17. Id say its all up to the driver. Cr 500 makes big power. You set up looks decent as well. He may get you off the line. But your 6th gear comes in Handy You ll run him down!
  18. Well forget the Used crank . Canada shipping is insaine when it comes to crossing the boarder. Im sure wiesco is decent. Depends how much power your putting to it..
  19. Where do ya live?? i have a used Hot Rods. Cheap Nothing wrong with it. I just went stroker. Vito's also makes a excellent Crank.
  20. I wouldnt use a Stock Yamaha Crank with a big bore... Hot rods makes a very strong and durable crank thats stock length.
  21. Everyone has a different opnion. Srokers are good for making torque. Big bore makes better top end power. it really all depends.. Their both good!
  22. Vito's has a 68mm big bore Kit thats good. I had the stock stroke, big bore kit It worked awesome.
  23. I still had my old big bore 404 before.
