  1. Hey guys, What do most of you guys run for spark pkugs?? I did run NGK B8ES on my old motor. which was 130 PSI, Now i just built a 421 with 190 PSI. Im thinking the ones i have just arent cutting the mustard. Do any of your guys run like iridium's or anything??? .
  2. Depends what kinda compression your running. The more compression the tighter you should go.
  3. Hopefully just the wind caught it and its in a field or somthing... God i hate people who steel your shit. Iv had my fare share of getting my stuff ripped off.
  4. If i were you id bolt on a Vito's Hemi head and put 20cc domes it in. Run good fuel. That will help you out alot. Their only like 180 bucks.
  5. i disagree?? maby not by boring .030.- .060. but from bringing a stock bore to a nice 68mm big bore, their is huuuge gains in power their, iv proved it many times with my bike, ported 350 to 4mill's. iv beaten them all. In a drag race that is.
  6. Oh for sure it would, hell do both, That way you get the best of both worlds. I just bought a entire engine kit from Vito's. 421 68mm big bore with a long rod stroker kit.
  7. You can grind out the stoke plate a bit. Im using my stock plate for my new motor. gunna run it at +2 or 3. Iv never bought a aftermarket one. Im sure their alot better. But myway will work.
  8. i use 75-90 gear oil of what ever brand, valvoline is what i use, or bel ray. They say its better for your clutch then 10-30. But its a personal prefrence.
  9. For more low end you ll wanna advance +2 to +4ish would be a nice set up i think.
  10. oh for sure, i use to have a 404 big bore, stock stroke, that thing was pretty wicked fast at the high end. but it had zero low end power.
  11. Wow that s sounds like a kick ass kit. Im in the middle of building up a 421 with the 68mm bore and a long rod stroker crank. Im hoping it should make some serious power. Where did you get that 72mm sleeve from???
  12. Longer rods will benefit high reving engines, less binding= more power, but thanks for your advice !!
  13. The long rod will actually give you more power in the high end, and the less wear is a mojor bonus!!
  14. if i were you i would get 22's. i just did the worked out the compression ratio on my 421 with the 22's. its at 11.6:1, and i run 103 octaine. you should be running minimum 94 with compression like that.
  15. i was always told you ll get more over all power out of a big bore then you will a stroker. strokers only give you low end torque.
  16. hey, how do you like your 421 kit?? im buying the same one. just curios how you like it?

  17. Oh, well thats even!! those big engines cant breath by sucking through a straw!! I have the big bore 404 kit, and the 421 kit on order. These engines wake up huge when you throw a propper size carb on them. Iv raced many tweeked out 350's. I destroy them from 2nd gear on, i pull away like nothing.
  18. You cant make horse power out of a 421 with stock 28mm carbs bud. Let the thing breath and you will see big numbers.
