  1. Man this kinda sounds like a busted reed issue. Mine did the same thing! I was riding, everything was good, and then it just died. I put my hands over the intakes and pushed the kick starter by hand, and felt air come out..... That's how I knew. I'd say its most likely a reed issue. If the reeds are good, and the flywheel look good, it'll be time for a leak-down test. I sell the testers. PM me if you don't wanna dick with making your own.
  2. yes you can... stock boots too
  3. yeah and im not gonna replace it with a plastic piece of junk... hey does anyone know if you gotta split your cases to do the shift star thing... it looks to me like you do.
  4. thanks fellas. i was hopeing there was a sponsor that'd have what i needed. the impellar is also cracked, so i guess ill be ordering billet water pump everything...... of course, water pumps seem overrated
  5. OK so any recomendations on billet stuff????
  6. i make and sell leak down testers for $40 shipped. PM me.
  7. actually there are other people as stupid as this guy.... (i have to be discreet but) we have a guy that just got fired. they were gonna change the gate code go get in. while it was being talked over, it was mentioned 1776 would be easy to remember. then, my boss looks at the big-breasted new blonde receptionist and said "kayla, do you know what happened in 1776?" she says "oh yeah! that was pearl harbor wasnt it?" ..................... yes they DO exist apparently we had air craft carriers, planes, and news cameras in 1776
  8. Great price! Bump
  9. Hey hey! I line in garden city.... I'm planning a spring time trip to waynoka....
  10. ok give me a call tonight. i looked up the size of the inside of your intakes... (ACTUALLY THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF THE REED SIDE OF YOUR CARBS) and theyre 40mm or 1.57 inches. im not sure how much they ported the exhaust, but i also have another idea ill run by you when you call, to seal up the intake. really i kinda need that measurement though. 512-673-2991
  11. well i can build it and MAYBE have it in the mail tomorrow or the next day. i need the inside diameter of your intakes or what size carb youre running, and exhaust ports. im guessing you have stock cylinders that have been ported???
  12. Haha! Dude you should work for geico!
  13. Hey Eric. I didn't get a response email from you...? Anyways, the round plugs are to plug your exhaust ports. Obviously to do this you have to remove your header pipe. The nuts on the plugs tighten and make the rubber part expand giving you a nice air tight seal. I personlly also like to wrap the rubber part a few times with electrical tape to kinda act as a gasket. then you have to remove your carbs. One of the white PVC pieces goes into one intake boot, and the other PVC piece into the other. Then you tighten them in with the same clamps used to hold your carbs in. Make sure you leave your plugs installed, and tight. Then you pressurize your motor through the PVC with the standard valve stem. 6 psi for 6 minutes is what you motor needs to able to hold. If it looses 1psi in 6 minutes, you have a seal going out, but is still acceptable for most. Anymore, and you need to find your leak, as a lean air fuel mixture WILL destroy your motor. Not only tests head and base gaskets and crankseals, but also your intake boots, and reed gaskets all at once. A leak down tester can retail for over $300 in some cases. These are $40 shipped to your door. The $300 motion pro tester won't tell you anymore than this one will, but mine is almost 1/10th of the price
  14. okbeast.... since this has been declared BY YOU an uncensored post.... FUCK OFF. build your own fucking leakdown tester you cocksuckin faggot.... what are you trying to be someones hero by "saving them $35"? go rescue a fucking kitten from a tree, or get ahobby you fucking pud. now that that is outta the way... 50 was the starting price... upon further consideration i feel $40 shipped is a more appropriate price. yeah theyre cheap to build, if you figure the price for JUST THE MATERIALS FOR ONE of them. but you gotta consider first, they dont sell PVC by the inch... they well it at least 8' that ive found. then you gotta buy cement. thats about 10 bucks. sure it only takes about $.0001 worth of it do build one. then your freeze plugs, then bolt-in valve stems, then your guage... and i didnt use some shitty ass $.99 guage from the sale bin at autozone. the guage alone was $8. not to mention I build it, and i guarantee it. if theyre not happy with it. then theyll be getting their money back, soon as they return it. and shipping is included in that price. itll be the fastest shipping avaliable, whie me still seeing SOME kind of profit. that being said i might be making 15 bucks. IF THAT. pm if youre interested, want more pics, or have bigger carbs. if you have bigger carb boots then i will also need the exact inner diameter of the boots. $40 shipped. expedited delivery. no bullshit.
  15. Im selling leak down testers for banshees. $50 shipping included to 48 contigous states. these will fit stock cylinders, with stock intakes. A total must to properly diagnose engine trouble. PM me for more details or questions.
  16. i really have no clue how to tell if theyre stroker domes. i ordered them from the local shop here, and they had called tucker rocky and they said they were out of 20cc, but they could send me 21cc domes instead. i said it's work. then when i went to pick them up the parts guy was like OH hey they sent 20cc domes! kinda makes me wuestion whether they are or not you know...
  17. good idea AK. i looked at them today, and one has been worn really bad on the curved side, near the bottom. the other too, just not as bad. the wear is near where it seats. i installed 50 mains today, and it helped.... ALOT. enough to where it was bearly doing it at all. i also havent put the air box back on, so i was basically running open carbs with a clean piece of t shirt rubber banded on the boots. i also took tha body that the jets screw into off the main body of the carb. the o ring seal had gummed up gas all dried to it. i guess ill see about a rebuild kit for it. also bad when i had put my cool head on (got the stocker on now) it struggled to get into the power band. went home, out the stocker back on, and ir ran fine. it seemed like it wasnt getting enough gas 1/2-3/4. do people often have to re-jet for just a cool head with 20cc domes. i was running 93 pump gas
  18. the carb slides APPEAR to be shutting all the way... never seen how its supposed to look on a pwk. the slides are non plated aluminium, and they are loose. there is plenty of slack in the cables. enough so i take up some before it actually opens up
  19. you know the slides als dont seem as snug as say the stockers. obviously its a completely design though. seems like the cable adjuster would let in WAY more air then a bad gasket would though... ive got a set of 50 pilots thatll be here monday. well see what happens. hey i also learned today it has an adjustable timing plate set at +5 degrees.. dont know if that matters or not.
  20. ok the mods: 99 shee .020 over stock stroke fmf fattys k&n filter, lid on box, no snorkel 28 pwks 140/45 (no oil injection holes to plug) +5 timing (didnt know this till today) 2800' facts/symptoms: idles high air screws all the way in idle screws all the way out exhaust is dripping black and dark gray oily shit and was before the new carbs compression 125/124. leak down test 6psi for 6-7 minutes.... ie no air leaks from the intake manifolds throughout plenty of slack in the cables, and no hanging slides. the slides are pretty loose like theres alot of play side to side the tops on the carbs are not the screw on type, and the gaskets look lke theyve seen their day. WHY DOES IT IDLE HIGH??? starts easy enough. was a 1 kicker with the stockers.... maybe 2 even now. anyone have an idea on float height???
  21. i agree. and at 4000 feet, they might be too rich.... if it runs better as it get colder, youll know they were too rich. sputtering and poor power can often be attributed to it running too rich. maybe go a turn or half turn out of your air fuel screws see what that does
  22. 165/48 1.5 turns middle clip
  23. yeah id hit up some 310 mains or even 320. remember if youre gonna ride during the winter, you should be putting bigger jets in anyways.
  24. shit mine doesnt have the oil injection holes...... ahh well ill keep plucking away on it.gotta be jetting or an airleak somewhere.
  25. hell, they BOTH sound lean to me....... or did. fuck i hope youre right. now i gotta just sit here for 4 hours and WONDER goddamnit
