  1. with smaller domes, compression goes up and depending on what dome u may need to change what fuel u use. I am making the switch to 100LL aviation gas with 18cc domes on a modquad head with stock pistons and jugs. I have almost the same mods as yourself and just want MORE!!
  2. I sure wouldnt mind this "port mapper" u so speak of! If anyone knows where to get it please let me know!
  3. Not too big in the cub scene myself, but ebay certainly has some sick cub kits.
  4. this is all mad lolz! Why are u defending this 90mph+ claim so hard?!? unless u got yourself a BEAST of a machine ur not doing that speed. Yeah it seems fast as shit but actual speed will vary. How about u jump on ur 90+ rig and RIDE it instead of boasting this BS on here?!?! at this point ur doin 100+.............on the interwebs!
  5. All the talk of Klotz on this site has made me switch. Been an avid castor 927 fan for years! I use amsoil all around in my 4-stroke dirtbikes and truck, but the banshee hasnt seen any yet!
  6. I never had a horrible time shifting, it simply got annoying after awhile. Looking at the small price for buttery smooth shifting I went with it. If it would have been $100+ I would never have done it. As far as oil capacity, its 1.6 U.S. Quarts, 1.8 after a rebuild. IMO, a clymer manual and this site are the best things u can get for ur shee!
  7. Spend the $50-$60 for the modded shift shaft thing with the aftermarket shift star and you will be happy! I run bel-ray case saver, but seems alot of guys on here like the ATF type-f for they're trannies, cheaper than $10 a quart for case saver! I may make the change myself.
  8. Check this site out, should help. Most campgrounds are right next to the dunes. http://duneguide.com/
  9. Possible float issue?
  10. Check the sponsor spotlight, has all the guys in there. Working with Alfie's toybox at the moment and he's great! Excellent bang for the buck.
  11. That certainly sounds lean. Like some guys say on here, start with a high number rich jet, maybe 300 in ur case, then step it down until u find the sweet spot. Also plug chops are very nice! I have used both methods in the last two weeks and have spot on jetting now.
  12. Will give u my setup. Pay shipping and its a deal. Have everything for stock system.
  13. Tunin the beast for some sunny saturday destruction!!

  14. I pull em off the bike, break em down, pull all the jets out, blow em out, then clean it with Gumout Carb and choke cleaner. That stuff seems to work best for me.
  15. I just posted a thread like this not too long ago. The consensus was that unless you have high compression, U may actually lose power using 100LL/110 race gas. Personally, I'm going to get the compression up before I start running 100LL avgas. I'm sure it works with stock jugs/pistons/heads but most threads say its not worth it, u may lose power. Hope this helps bro!
  16. Dunes are straight wide-open fun, but I gotta say hands down trails, at least the ones I ride (capital forest area, WA) Nasty, sharp rocks and lots of em, super tight, barely wide enough for the shee'. Spend enough time railin those u sure learn lots!
  17. I'm going to get a real one done tomorrow, thats just what I had for now.
  18. plug chop results are in!! I'm not a genius but i would say the one is rich, one is spot on. and this is NOT a 1-6th gear railed, pull clutch and kill it. They where new plugs with about an hour of hard ridin on them.
  19. If anyone can somewhat make out these pics, i'm trying to get a second opinion on my jetting. Details are: Stock air box/filter, stock mikunis 300 main, 27.5pilot stock needle position, VF3's, stock jugs, T-5's. Thanks guys! oh, they are a bit lighter than what they are in the photos.
  20. ha! alrighy then, maybe not 18 domes! Still workin on figurin out how these motors work!
  21. I may go for 18cc domes, one size up from stock pistons, im guessing that will put me in the 150psi-170psi range.
  22. Have rode there a few times. Pretty flat marsh land type of riding, with lots of trails going off in every direction. Some areas are sand/dirt, some pure sand. was fun but I certainly wouldnt go there often! They do patrol it, I think its DNR out there, but i never saw them in the back hunting people out, just up front along the main rodes. Enjoy bro!
  23. My compression will be whatever I can do with the coolheads on a fresh ported stock cylinder with fresh pistons. I dont want to push it too far, but something more than super stock as it is now.
  24. 50/50 seems to be the hot ticket. Planning on trying it out after a rebuild, coolheads, and a trail/play port on stock cylinders. Dont think running it with stock top-end, T-5's and VF'3's would be worth it!
  25. SO i happen to be a pilot and get a decent discount on 100LL, wondering if its worth it?? Going from pump gas to this and maybe back, is there any nasty drawbacks or should I give it a whirl?! Thanks guys.
