  1. I found all I had to do where some very minor air-screw adjustments for my VF3's, didn't touch the jetting!
  2. x2 unless your way hardcore into alky or drag. I love my T'5s they will be around for awhile!
  3. My setup below is a trail killer. Lots of times even overboard thanks to the head. When I was running with those mods minus the head it was awesome, but even in really tight stuff it can get shaky. Can't tell u what durability is like, as I just rebuilt, but I have seen alot of guys on here say 3-7 years on a top-end. Mine felt tipsy with the stock tires, threw some slightly wider Kenda Klaws on and that went away. -Banshees Rule!
  4. I too ride 4-poke dirtbikes, 08' KX450F, but the shee is in a league of its own. With the mods in my sig and the trail/logging road riding I do I had to stop there, thing is wicked! Now onto the drag shee' project.....
  5. ooohhhh yeaaahhhh!
  6. I know everyone on here says to go through a shop for porting, but I'd love to try myself. Seems you got alot of insight into this SLORYDER?! you mind sharing some info?! to the OP: I just rebuilt mine for about $300. Bore/Hone, all new seals and some bearings, and of course some WSM slugs with a welded crank. I too was on a budget!
  7. much thx man, thats all I needed to know!
  8. Can the coolant plug on the bottom, exhaust side of jugs be sealed with the help of silicone, or is it better to buy some new ones?! thanks guys.
  9. glad to hear, enjoy the beast!
  10. I'm sure u will need to go up some. When I switched to Avgas I had to go up 3 on the mains and one in the pilot.
  11. I just went to a local hardware supply joint with the stock head nuts, and had them match with some acorns and washers.
  12. I too have these same questions. Would like to know as its far cheaper than an Elka front end with banshee extended A-arms.
  13. WaterWetter from redline racing, and a gallon of generic coolant from schucks or wherever. For the price of a half gallon of engine ice you get a gallon, and still have tons of water wetter left over. I saw very similar temp drops with this compared to engine ice.
  14. I had the same problem with my modquad head. I threw some copper washers, acorn nuts (they didnt come with acorns) and some Permatex non-drying thread sealant, works like a charm!
  15. Thats strange. With the far different coolant passages in a coolhead, I would imagine a stock head gasket would really mess things up as far as flow characteristics in the head. I'm surprised they even got it on and working!
  16. correct, no head gasket, just the set of orings that come with it.
  17. Timing plate adds some sick-feelin power for cheap. Check out the chariot one, thing is bulletproof! Timing Plate
  18. lol!! no doubt. I see these tools everywhere they ride, and they always get smashed on by the ol' shee, even after I warn em! Sick pics too my man, looks like you gave em a run for their money!
  19. Alright, now I'm tempted to go out and see what the deal with +10 is!
  20. Excellent point! Only reason I didnt on the last build was $$ shortage.
  21. That is some shoddy shit right there. Best of luck to you bro, and I hope justice is served!
  22. X4 for a badass, super legit guy!
  23. timely shipping, got the parts, that certainly makes it right!
  24. no need to replace any bearings unless they have alot of play in them, or just look shot. Put new seals in for sure and you'll be good!
