  1. Alright, so the shorter blaster piston compensates for the longer rod in stock jugs, correct?
  2. Not trying to bust your thread OP, but the rad fan has been in my mind for awhile. Firebanshee, do you happen to have any more info on the fan? I would like to give that a whirl but am blind when it comes to electrical!
  3. Where might be the best place to buy some beadlock wheels? and what beadlocks can handle some serious abuse? thanks fellas
  4. Look up F.A.S.T. on here in the sponsor section. I have no personal experience with them, but everyone on here raves about them. I got a modquad coolhead with 18cc domes, and on the trails its a little much at times. If you ride some pretty tight stuff I would go with 20/22/23 domes.
  5. Thanks man. Now I know what the deal on blaster pistons is too.
  6. I know .100 is the absolute end of stock jugs, I personally wouldn't run them past .80, even thats cuttin it, imo!
  7. I love learning about motors, especially the banshee, but this one got me stumped! I've been reading on here lately about 4mil stroker cranks with 110mm rods and 115mm rods. What in the world is the difference?!
  8. I run a modquad head from Alfie with 18cc domes on 100LL Aviation gas, couldn't be happier. The power I noticed was spread out through the band, it started pulling ALOT harder than stock head on pump gas. I'm happy with it, and it I feel a bit better with the cooling increase over stock head.
  9. The Story: Bought a Modquad head, threw it on, rode with it for a bit, then top-end time. Pulled the head off and the aluminum lip that keeps the outer o-ring in place bent outwards. Went through alf, who went through modquad. Never heard from modquad personally, so alf sent me one he had laying around. keep in mind that it wasn't certain at the time whether he would get another or not. I will certainly be dealing with ol' Alf for any services he offers that I need. Much thanks. STAND UP GUY!!
  10. Sweet seller, part was here in a few days, can't beat that.
  11. Not to rain on the Vito's parade, but I just threw a set of WSM's in the beast, and really enjoy them. Got a good deal on them, or I would have gone with Wiseco's.
  12. Now I'm confused! lol I thought anything over +4 was more the alcohol/race gas crowd? Any insight peeps?
  13. Awesome guy, did great work. Price was a Bit lower than cascade for most things motor related.
  14. This is an easy decision then! thanks guys. Ride capital peak a little bit, just a tad too shitty for me now-a-days!
  15. I have found Avgas to really compliment the +4 timing. I even ran it with the stock head/compression. I pay only $4.65 for 100LL here, damn good deal/performance gain over premium pump, but not as horribly expensive as race gas!
  16. I would really like to cut the front fenders on my rig, but before I do I want to ask some trail riders if it makes the ride nasty? As I live in washington it can get a little nasty! thanks fellas
  17. Since the piston to cylinder gap only gets bigger after a top-end job, I would go with the factory specs. Same thing as gapping a plug to the upper limits, it makes no sense because its only going to get bigger!
  18. Not too far off from my setup either. I'm rockin' 320 mains, 30 pilots and needle clip 2nd from top. 253ft elevation, shee runs like a champ!
  19. I found a 27.5 pilot to work, but after I threw a 30 on there it made a really nice dif. I thought that would be too much but it works well. that was before the 18cc coolhead and Avgas in sig. Since the choke richens the system and you say it wouldnt start without it, I would certainly go with a 30 pilot and good carb clean. my .02 cents!
  20. Hmmm, that is certainly interesting. I've got nothing to loose so I'll give her a whirl.
  21. Took it for a good spin today, vibration sure goes away when the throttle is anywhere but idle. It's also only on the right side. I looked at each pipe to stinger connection sitting on it, and at idle its only the right side that vibs not-so-normally!
  22. It doesn't do it in the power, just the normal-feeling vibration. Its the low-end that gets it.
  23. Just finished breaking the beast in with new top-end, trued/welded crank, new gaskets.....blah blah! Shee's vibrating a bit more than before, could this be due to the truing of the crank? maybe its off a little? thanks alot as always fellas.
  24. bought seat cover from him, arrived faster than I expected, cover is badass!
  25. I would like a hit of whatever your smokin, it must be bomb!! In a tight community like this, word spreads, and fast. People work too hard for their money to take a risk with a business like that after loco's story.
