  1. im going with trails although i have never ridden dunes. i would imagine dodging trees, rocks, and huge ruts at WOT would be alittle more difficult than flying WOT through sand. i am not guna say im a better rider just because i ride trails, but when riding a banshee you should be ready for anything when your pinned in trails or dunes. let the arguing begin
  2. god damn what bullshit is that 600 bucks for peeling chrome , i would smack them in their head with the damn thing, they should at least send you brand new pipes or money back
  3. 32:1 or 40:1 is what seems to be the best and ditch the yamalube
  4. its more of a garggle sound sputter and it runs hard thru the rpms just if i double throttle it will do it for a sec , im going to try a 290 main and try it again
  5. back them out about 1 1/2 turns from seated and see how that works
  6. ok i went riding yesterday and it was about 50 degrees out, ok here my setup, toomey t5s , K/N, modded lid, 32:1 amsoil dominator , 93 oct, 300 mains , 27.5 pilots 1 1/2 turns out air screw, so heres the problem , il be right in the begining of the powerband and il let off the gas then stab the throttle again and il get a hesitation type sputter at wot , my plugs are chocolate brown ..... does this sound alittle rich , the only thing different was i took off the boost bottle and out a stock xover tube.........hhhmmm maybe its the bhq stickers messing with my flux compacitor
  7. im not sure of a pipe that does it all but i think you would be happy with a set up of t5s timing +4, and a port job, maybe someone who used pts will help you out
  8. it depends on what type of riding you do and what power characteristics your looking for
  9. PORTING or i would go adj. timing plate, reeds, and then it up to you

  12. thank you guys for all the advice. i dont normally ride sand so i think ill be fine with the heims and when they wear out il pick up a set of ball joints, i dont trust ebay or any of those type deals so i will be ordering them from their website even if costs me a few bucks more i dont have to deal with the bs, now i gota wait for my damn tax return
  13. um im not an expert but by the name i would say it locks up your clutch so slippage is very little or reduced greatly , if you were meaning how does the mechanism work idk i would like to know too

  17. i hear people use their premix in a water bottle and then see if the engine revs up if you spray it on the boots and such
  18. carb intake boots, reeds and gaskets between them , the spot where the boost bootle goes ( sry for lack of better terms ) lol cylinder base gaskets, head gaskets and if someone would like to include anything i missed
  19. if it smoked alot i would make sure to use good oil and mix it 40:1 or even 50:1 or your jetting is way rich , i had a 1978 yz100 and fucker smoked like bitch forever until i fixed the floats in the carb , Does the carb leak gas out of the overflow tubes when not running?

  21. the front end looks low to ride trails and dirt roads , just keep an eye on the bidding if it goes any higher than like 2800 - 3000 you might wana look aroung although that is a nice quad
  22. it will gum up only if you putin around like a 4 stroke and not reving it out so the oil gets burned off. dont get me wrong its a great oil and smell even better but for the price i pay 10 bucks for 16oz i can get amsoil dominator for about 12 and its about double the size container and works just as well

Ok here we go........... i have been reading through the site about the yfz swap and decided not yo go through with it but instead im goin to pucker up and buy some +2+1 a arms, i have done some searching and have read about the differences between heims and ball joints, i hear ball joints are better but whats so bad about the heims except for "the squeeks" you get from them? if i do get heim joints can they be replaced with ball joints when they wear out? also whats this spindle reaming? would i have to do this if i ordered fullflight +2+1 arms? i am going to use my stock shocks with this setup when i make up my mind on what arms to use.......f you have any experience with fullflight a arms and the use of stock shocks i really would like to hear your opinion on the subject. o ya im not going to be hitting 30 foot gaps sooo i dont need the best arms they make right?? thanks guys
  24. 32:1 or 40:1 is good , i usually put a little less than 4 oz pre gallon
  25. i got a few more questions , what does it cost to get a set of expansion chamber coated, my local guy wants me to bring them down and i wana know if im getting ripped off when he gives me an estimate , do you think a regular non high heat powder will come off near the exhaust port side of the pipe??
