  1. If you like your gearing now, you would need a lower ratio with larger tires to keep it near the same.
  2. Would you be interested in selling belly skid? Where you located, shipping ya know?
  3. Would you be interested in selling belly skid? Where you located, shipping ya know?
  4. Is this Goonie under a different name?
  5. At least you got one thing right Grey
  6. But even if you spend $150 for a set of cases you have a cheap start on a project.
  7. If you want to MX get an90 or newer with A arms not J arms. There is a good thread going right now about banshee reliabiliy. Most dirt bikes are jetted fat (rich) from the factory to lessen the posibility of burning a piston. As far as 2 stroke reliability I have a 72 Honda 250 Elsinore I bought new, have rode the snot out of it and have only put one set of rings in it . It's all about maintenance. BTW , welcome to BHQ !! You'll be better served buying a ready to ride 'shee not a fixxer upper . JMO, your results may vary.
  8. Was this motor running previous? You would be hard pressed to use them. At least the damage isn't on the main sealing surface. If you are on a real tight budget and not a high power build you could give it a shot. Use a smooth mill file to carefully take down the high spots working slowly and carefully. Worst you'ld be out couple of gaskets. If you do try to use them do a leakdown test before you even fire it up. JMHO , your results may vary. Might want to smooth up where it looks like a blown rod damage.
  9. Which gear is that ? BTW, pretty fubared !!
  10. What's the advantage of your relocation braket ? Could it be pop riveted instead of screws?
  11. Don't know if there are any tire recappers still in this area, might check with one of them. Used to be one in Rochester.
  12. Might be time for them to find a different plater. Poor prep work I presume. 4 weeks is getting a little long.
  13. Welcome to BHQ !! Good trade!!
  14. Double check all your motor mount bolts and look at the rubber insert in cases.
  15. If you saw the video of loco, you'ld understand why he "might" have a crank fail. No offens inteded. His shee flat a$$ rips.
  16. Check that bearings turn smoothly with no excessive noise. Look closely for pits, galling, discoloration from heat. Same viual inspection for trans, look at forks for bending, check shafts forks ride on for straightness. Look at gears for chips , etc. Look at dogs for burrs or excess wear. Hope this helps. Your results may vary.
  17. Plug caps ? Check all grounds and switches.
  18. Welcome to BHQ. Where you at? I'm north of Pontiac.
  19. Start with fouled plug ,swap plug wires if not, see if problem follows.
  20. Full thread bolt more than twice length of pin, washer slightly smaller than pin, pipe or socket bigger and longer than pin, washer larger than pipe/socket, nut. Assembled same order. Bolt w/small washer thru pin pipe/ socket over bolt , washer nut. As you tighten nut it will pull pin into socket. Might want to put clean rag around rod so it doesn't bang against case.
  21. Job well done !!
  22. Welcome to BHQ !! Bet you got some sweet places to ride.
