  1. Found the problem... Had a cracked reed on the middle of v-force cages. Changed it and voila everything is fine. Thanx for all the ideas.
  2. Choke tube is hooked up and can't find any air leaks
  3. I've got a 2000 shee with t-5's, tors removed, cool head with 20cc domes, stock pilot jet, 290 main and middle setting on needle. This bike has always run flawless until i went to fire it up after about 10 months in storage. Now it doesn't want to fire all the time on left hole unless you are on the throttle. Compression is fine and i just cleaned the carbs to make sure there is no crap in them. Also rolled in a new set of plugs and it has strong spark. It is also now having an issue with idling and it never did before. The only issue it has ever had was starting a little hard when cold. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx,Racerzippy
  4. Just did a spark test and it is getting a bright blue spark and swapped wires and it still does it. I'm starting to think that I might have a compression issue. I will have to wait to borrow a compression tester to see if something isn't right on that jug assembly.
  5. Double checked all the obvious and checked carb sync. Was told by a local shop that it might be an issue with right side piston rings but I haven't took right bank apart yet.
  6. Just got done putting on a new top end(fresh jugs, pistons, replacement stock head) and fired up to do break-in and motor runs fine until it gets warm. After warming up it starts to make a compressor type noise out of the right side. Doesn't feel like it is getting fire all the time when you put your hand over right tailpipe. Tors is removed and it has lrd adjustables with 29.5 pilot and 310 main jets with k&n pods. Run at sea level on Oregon coast and have never had to run any different than this with my t-5's. Was going to tear into reeds and carbs to make sure it wasn't a lean situation but wanted to get some ideas before running it any more than I have to.Any suggestions would help.
  7. I am tired of seeing everyone with the same looking bike as me, so I was wondering if anyone out there has ever seen 250r plastic(nose/fenders) morphed onto a shee? I just want something a little different without spending tons of cheese for aftermarket.
  8. Thinkin about morphing 250r nose onto my 2000 banshee and was wondering if anyone has ever seen this done?
  9. It will work, kinda like the dirt latemodel stock cars do on their rear suspension. The coilover shock acts only as a slider/spring mount and the other shock is the control shock.
  10. 250r shocks are 1.5 inches longer than Banshee shocks, and the mounts are different widths. It can be done, but only if you aren't afraid of putting new upper mounts on your Banshee. If they are stock, its not worth the effort. I would only do it if they were some thing cool like Ohlins or Works>
  11. 22x11x8 10 paddle superlites are the only way to go if you're serious about getting out of the hole. I run them on a basic piped bike w/ coolhead (20 cc) and T5's with modded reed cages and Boysen carbon fiber reeds. With stock gearing and a stock swinger I don't get beat by much out of the hole. Plus the thing is a fricken' rocket in 5th and 6th gears. I can beat most built bikes, just by m.p.h. and traction alone. It's funny how so many people think that you need a long swing arm and small tires. My bike is a little bit of a handfull sidehilling, but not unmanagable. Next set of tires I get will be the same, but with kevlar paddles. BTW I also ride on the Oregon coast @ Winchester,Spinreel, and Florence.
  12. Went to Six States trucking supply store and bought 2 - six light led strips. the things are friggin bright and I only paid 8 bucks for the both! They even already had the mounting tabs on them and bolted right onto the stock mount.
  13. I have the same combo on one of my bikes and run pump gas in it. Elevation out here Vancouver, Washington is about the same. We even ride @ the coast, but I always run super unleaded.
  14. I know this sounds stupid, but a buddy of mine once installed the slides in his carbs backwards and had the symptoms that you are describing. He finally tried swapping them around and voila! Hope that this works for you.
