  1. I run +5 timing and 19cc domes on my stock stroke with no problems.
  2. X2. Brandon at Wildcard Racing did mine as well....well worth letting a professional do it.
  3. Timing plate: $50 Cool head with domes: $250 Port work: $300-$350 And X2 with Dirtydownunder...I would look into getting your crank welded once your banshee is ported. That extra piece of mind is well worth it IMO. So you could have a 65HP banshee with $1000 no problems. I had Wildcard Racing do all the work on my banshee and I couldn't be any happier. But any site sponsor on here kicks ass, just have to decide who you want to spend your $1000 with. -Zach
  4. X2. Lets all be nice.... if your not interested in the bike, don't post here. Look and move on IMO.
  5. First off welcome to BHQ! There are lots and lots to do with your banshee. Just depends on your budget. I would get a timing plate and set it at +4. That is a good $50 well spent. Cool head with proper domes. You said you ride dunes, I prefer to run no air box on my duner and just open pod filters. Once you have all the basic bolt ons, I would for sure have a site sponsor on here port your cylinders...Wildcard Racing, Herr Juggs, FAST, M&M, Redline, Passion...etc. Good porting is what will put you ahead of those built 4 pokes IMO.
  6. One word: Heavy! X2 with Fouledout, you may as well run a 4mil and it will be WAY lighter. Its a pretty cool build, but not very practical IMHO.
  7. If Andy says it won't be a big deal, I would listen to him. These sponsors on here are the true banshee gods and they know there shit IMO. But I'm sure every little bit helps.
  8. I ditched my key...so I make sure my pingle in on, kill switch on, choke half way out....and kick
  9. I would ditch the tors asap IMO. You will have issues with it sooner or later. Hit up a site sponsor. You could unplug the little black box under your left front fender area...more in though.
  10. Yeah I highly doubt she'll be back anytime soon....It's just people being honest though
  11. I'm no race fuel expert, but I've always heard anything running 160-170 and up in compression should be on race fuel. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but, if your bike isn't set up properly for race fuel it can possibly hurt the performance.
  12. Good looking bike...someone needs to jump on this deal. BUMP
  13. So if my banshee is a 350 that is the horse power right? hahahaha
  14. Send your shit to a site sponsor and be done with it. Thats way to long i only read the first sentence
  15. X2. You won't be disappointed getting one from Tim. And round house is the only way too go IMO
  16. Did you foul a plug? I would go over the carbs and jetting before you ride it anymore
  17. X2. Klotz R-50 @ 40:1. Just to give you some insight on my experience with Klotz. My brother has a 2000 banshee with PC pipes, cool head, and pod filters w/no air box. He bought the bike brand new and has ran R-50 in it since day one. He rides the shit out of the bike and has never done a rebuild. After 11 years or so of hard dune riding his compression is finally low enough to justify doing a new top end.... I think its pretty bad ass that a stock top end can take abuse and hold up compression for that long...and trust me, he rides the banshee how its suppose to be ridden. Not saying his top end lasted that long just because he ran Klotz, but I think it helped running a good quality oil. -Zach
  18. Keep your eye out for shocks for sale on here....I see nice fronts all the time. Stockers and aftermarkets
  19. X2. Start bigger and work your way down. It has got be a main jet issue...
  20. Yeah I live about 90 minutes from Sand Mountain, UT. I think its about (5,000 to 5,200FT) Just to give you an estimate on what jets to run, look at my mods in my profile....I run 310 mains, stock pilots, needles second notch from blunt end, air screws 1 1/2 out. I would say if your running 310's you could possibly be too rich, even with my 310's in the middle of the summer at 5,000FT I'm a tad rich and I'm running CPI's and Aggressive Dune Porting...etc. Remember though, the colder it is outside the more fuel you need. I don't ride in this weather, so I keep my 310's in for the summer riding I do. -Zach
  21. Welcome to BHQ! Looks like a pretty good bike. Yeah, you'll have to tear into it to find out exactly what has been done.
  22. For $1500 just from the pics it doesn't look like a bad deal at all. Let us know what you decide. Oh, and welcome to BHQ!
