  1. ok i rebuilt the carbs and put in 27.5 pilots and i kept the 310 mains i tryed to install the needle valves that came with the kit but they where about a 1/4" to short so i used the old ones set at the 4th seting from the blunt end and its running great. but when im riding it it has almost no smoke out of either side and im told this is good becouse its cleaned out is this true??? it will start to smoke if i let it idle for a couple of minutes but it has more smoke out the right side now then the left so im going to adjust the idle screw in on that side alittle to see if that helps any and i just want to no if im on the right track or not thanks for all the help
  2. does anyone else think i should goto a 27.5 pilot because i will get them when i go down and get a rebuild kit for the carbs and what jetting would you recommend
  3. ok i can do that! but i have one question you said you adjusted your pilot jets???????? can you do this or do you mean the air mixture screw????
  4. so your saying my pilots are just fine and i no about the higher jetting in cold weather. and are you saying the higher altitude i need to run smaller jets??????? and i need to turn down my air mixture a half turn or so??? and what is a agressive dune porting how do you no you have that i bought this bike pretty much like it is now i no its ported and polished but how agressive it is i dont no but i no one thing i noticed is that the port is quit a bit bigger than the ports in the piston.
  5. lol maybe 06specialedition might no he lives in utah it looks like. so is my jetting ok? and thanks about the bowl drain! ow i ya also have k&n filters i dont no if that mattters or not.
  6. ok the jets are 310 and the pilots the little one is 25 and the screw on the bottom of the float bowl is screwed all the way in should it be that way?? ya the altitude is high but its fun you dont see to many banshee's. i live in utah banshee's around here are mostly used for the dunes but with the dunes being 3 hours away i ride quit a bit in the mountains and only a few times a year at jerico.
  7. ok i have the cylinders bored to 65.5 it has a cool head and V force 2 reads and i have t5 pipes it has also been ported and polished with stock carbs and intake boots the needle clip is all the way closes to the needle side and if i remember right i changed the jets to 350 jets but not possitive ill check when i check the pilot jet also but i had the same problem before jetting it. and my altitude is 4,487 feet but i have been riding in the mountains a lot on the snowmobile trails and the altitude there is 7051 feet and about 20-30 degrees the altiitudes i ride in the summer are about the same but the weather is about 70-90 degrees. so your saying i could have the wrong pilot jet size also would this cause my engine to brake a ring on that side thats why i had it rebuilt?
  8. both the air mixture screws are at two full turns out and the idle screws are adjusted the same on both carbs any help to where the adjustments are would help greatly on a car or truck im very familiar with the carb on these im not sure im new to the two stroke world and trying learn all i can thanks
  9. im pretty sure its the one to the rear right
  10. ok witch ones are they the one in the middle of the carb or the one toward back of the carb by the filter there the stock mickuni carbs
  11. hi guys im new here and i have a banshee that i bought about a year ago and Ive been chasing a problem with it smoking out of my left pipe more than the right side im talking twice as much smoke i have sincked the carbs and i have had a buddy do it also Ive checked both needle valves and there set at the same level i bought new v force 2 reads i just had the engine rebuilt by k&t performance so i no the engine is good and im having the same problem the jetting in the carbs are the same???? please help!!!!
