  1. thanks for the help man.....Ill get on it in the morning. edit : yea i need to cop a impact driver....them phillips are almost impossible to get off without stripping them.
  2. ur right stroker...... im done with it. im at work at the moment.....ill check the breather hoses in the morning when i get off, im checking to make sure there both connected and no cracks or leaks in hoses right?.... also i can snatch clutch cover off will i have to have a new gasket? or if i take my time can it be reused or what? and the seal on impeller how will i know if its bad? torn? worn out looking?
  3. went from 165s and Got me some 158's today and threw em in and it lost all power on top end.... like it doesnt wanna pull at all up top. Hardly any smoke at all either....He didnt have 160's so i tried the 158's to see....doesnt seem to help, also idles high now so im almost sure its lean I have JJH needles, the clips were in different locations on both carbs.... one was at top spot and the other was at middle.... I put em both at middle when i put the 158's in.... I think ima throw the 165's back in for now until i can get some 160's......???? what do you guys think??? Help please..... pilots are at 1.5 turns out bogs off idle and after i give it gas it seems to wanna idle high for a few seconds and then will settle back down.... does this mean im lean with the 158's???
  4. Yo, i could possibly see how you couldve took my post on that thread as being cocky, arrogant in a sense.... but come on, you seem to be leaving out ALOT on that story.... I also stated that no one out there had anything wildly modified, i said they were piped 4 pokes....seriously any DECENT running banshee piped should kill a 450 if you can ride remotely good.... there was a 250r that looked as if it seen better days, and a couple blasters... 2 overweight guys on stock motor shees. The only competition I had that day was a piped, fuel managed looney tuned 700r..... he would stay with me every race... Claimed it was fast? compared to what? my competition....yes i sure was....Against you guys on here, NEVER said that.. Its a stock stroke stock port bike.... You should be glad i was handing thier ass to them instead your spending too much time disecting my every word. I never compared my shee to ANYONES on this site not even yours, and know that my shee aint sh!t compared to most of the guys here....do i get upset? NO, i love the sport, i love to race and love to see someone with a bad ass quad even if I get my ass beat. I will not turn down a race from anyone, seat time is the best time so you can only improve.... You do need to take some advice from fouledout and grow up..... if you have nothing to share, as i stated before dont coment, if you dont like me, even better.....fucc off! I came on here to learn and get help building my stock banshee from guys that know more about them than me....We all had to learn at some point and i shouldnt be bashed for asking questions or posting something up..... I do research before I post and that should count for something... also ive made over 100 posts from a cell phone gimme a little credit u nut hugging bastard!
  5. uwener - i think u need to know, if i ever ran across you id smack tha f*ck out of you! Now that i got that out of the way, i havent replaced clutches, havent noticed any slipping either. Also where i ride theres alot of water, we can follow a shallow (1-6 inches) rock bottom creek for miles if we chose and also about the pressure washing, Is there anyway water can enter my oil? i havent noticed my coolant going down, ive been checking regularly....but thanks for the replies, i tried to research this before i posted and found the common problem areas myself tho i still cant seem to please "uwener" what a name by the way.... who always seems to have a smart ass remark everytime i post, glad i grab ur attention......lol
  6. Checked tranny oil tonight for the first time since i put her back together (about 3 months ago) and oil was a grey color..... Besides water pump impeller seal and o-ring on tube is there anything else i need to check? Ive never had clutch case off either, what else should I be aware of or look for? Also need a name and number where i can order the seals, gasket and billet impeller while im in there.....Thanks guys
  7. Im not sure of the exact lbs they are set up for as i bought them second hand from a guy off this site. Im 185 and i do know they are not stiff for my weight. Feel good actually. No pistons need replaced, nothing at all is wrong with them. I have them on my stock arms. Wish i could tell u more but i havent had them but a few days. Also im aware that not alot of people have ported cylinders laying around, i know alot of "jugg hogs" on this site though and could get a extra set of thiers ported to trade me. like i said if its a bad deal, sorry i was just seeing what kind of interest there would be. some guys are into the whole suspension thing.

  9. ok got carbs on yesterday, tore em apart for a thourough clean. has 45 pilots and 165 mains..... idles pretty good but a slight bog off idle. rips up top. what can i do to get rid of the off idle 1/2 throttle bog? ohhh air lid is removed. thanks guys

  11. Just throwing this out there to see if anyone would be interested...... I have some dual rate ELKAS red anodized with blk springs that i just bought off here, shouldve stuck with my original plan and had cylinders ported. SOOOO Im wanting to possibly trade the elkas for a set of dune ported cylinders.....very nice shocks but im more into speed and i need more of it.   13. x2 on the carrier bearings! mine did the exact same thing just changed em. Do not ride with em like that, axle will whollow out ur carrier and u will have to buy a new one cuz the bearings wont fit.
  14. cool.....i tear em apart n chek when they arrive, i like mine a little on the lean side to be honest.... im running 260 mains @ sea level now on my stock carbs and it flat rips....plugs are nice n dark black.... but everyone says i should be running 300's+ at my elevation with my mods, i guess every bike different...... i tried 300's and it pulled like shit so I went back to the 260's. neways thanks for all the help guys! appreciate it
  15. im not sure about the needles..... i bought them from a member off here... just wanted to get a ballpark before i slap em on..... so 40 pilots 158-160 mains on a stock motor no porting @ sea level???

I have a set of FMF fattys with PowerCore 2 silencers..... not the best finish in the world but not rust buckets either. i would post a pic but im on my cellie.... i can send pics via cellphone if ur interested. Want to trade for some ac pro pegs, or any pro peg nerfs with the heel guards. Thanks Brad

I do aggresive trail riding and dirt drags......I can get some 28pwk's polished for the same price but i am moving to a stroker later this year and thats why im trying to get my carbs a tad on the big side, and why i went with T5's and v force 3's in my decision making, for the future mods im planning on. Right now im just going to get a dune port from Brandon and stick with that until a need a rebuild, then do the 4mill.....suggestions?? Yea a good friend of mine has the 34PJ's and his bogs 1/4 throttle too, but he"s got a drag port and it really kicks ass after his light switch powerband, dont know if i really like that either Id rather have a more broad powerband than just on/off...... but it sure is fun to ride hahaha
  25. whats the easiest way to seperate the upper and lower a-arms from the spindle? I had to replace one of the upper a-arms a while back and basicaly used a punch and a hammer to get it out. tried prying it out with a prybar and fucced up the rubber boot to the ball joint. luckily i replaced it so it didnt matter. so is there a way to make a tool like they have in the manual? or what are the methods you have used? thanks......
