Yea u better have some ass behind ya homie......Stock vs. stock you'll get beat........piped vs. his stock you'll get beat.....you at least need a good port... dune or drag, pipes, and carbs seriously....... there was a chick at the dirt drags with one it was the outlander 800, ported n polished head, cams, piped and power commander..... fuccing thing was amazing hahah i wanted to buy it from her, i was amazed at how fast it was, ive never seen one run, she was running 4.6's all night with mud tires on it in 300ft hahha.......good luck -

Im not saying this IS your problem but I had the EXACT same issue back when i put mine on, no spark whatsoever and couldnt get it to crank for shit. If you gap is set correctly ill almost put a 100 dolla bill on it that its your stator. Just moving it can make it go bad.....All i did was move it out the way to install the timing plate and bolted it back up and nothing..... ran fine before...... check it! EDIT - sorry just re-read and noticed you said you do have spark..... my bad but the above was my experience!

honestly if you have the cash man i would...... get the chariot piece off ebay......very nice and well made. Only reason I say that is because IF you mess up modding the stocker you may be down for a few days until new plate comes in. And the weekend is right around the corner hahah -
i would be happy with mid 4's to be honest...... i think some tires wouldve put me in the high 4's like im sitting..... but yea i have struts, planning on a override and picking up me some pro wedges tomm after work, also im trading of the 28's for some 33pwk's...... Im putting heavy duty springs in the clutch when i put cylinders on and will inspect, if clutches look worn or steels are warped or show alot of heat then ill get the clutch kit from Jeff @ F.A.S.T. I had a blast at the dirt drags and see myself leaning alot towards making this a all out drag bike......shits addictive, especially when u win some $$$$ hhaha

You can elongate the stock holes where the bolts go to be able to turn it.....as for the +4 part maybe someone will chime in and let you know exactly how far but its not a couple cm's or so.....I bought the billet piece from chariot but you can def mod the stock one yourself many of the guys on here have -
Getting my new cylinders drag ported by a pretty reputable builder in my area and he swears that i can drop my 5.2's-5.3's (with current setup in sig) in 300ft dirt drags to mid to low 4's....... I was running knobbies when i ran the 5.3 and the track was like 4 inches deep or more of tha loose shit lol everyone else was running paddles..... Also im running 21cc domes @ 130 psi @ 300ft ASL, he said i should go to 18's that he has done it with no issues, so i ordered some 18cc domes as well...... are low 4's possible with say the right gear and some pro wedge 2's???

I thought race gas burned slower, hence the reasonto need higher compression and to advance the timing to start the combustion process sooner?

We didnt go to the miss race because of all the rain but we did go to the friendship drags in Friendship TN....nice 300ft dirt track. We get talked into driving almost a hour there and we pull up, EVERYONE has wheelie bars and running prowedge 2's or paddles.....Im like Ohh sh!t, they done suckerd our ass down here with knobbies and no bar lol Neways long story short on my stock motor, stock clutch, knobbie tires in soft dirt they best i could pull off was a 5.3, i ran 5.3's-5.4's consistent. But I ended up pulling out because I couldnt get it to run right, kept bogging...... well my cylinders are getting shipped off tomorrow for a full drag port.... and im putting my 4 mill in...the time has come hahaha My friend on the other hand actually won the 2 stroke class over another shee with drag pipes, paddles and a bar and a 250r with a 310 motor with paddles and a bar....... these were some old timers that said theyve been racing for 15-20 years hahhaha needless to say there are NO excuses for guys that do this every weekend to get beat by a ported banshee with knobby's hahhaa i was so happy for him cuz he was jumping 2 bikes out of the hole on the 310r and I have it ALL on video, i will upload soon. He's got one hell of a beast.... -
Worked a deal with Gary on some candy blue powder coated cylinders. The guy does great work and cylinders where at my door a day after shipping!!

I have some brand new chrome t5's that im wanting to trade for some drag pipes..... mine have no rust at all even around where it comes out of cylinder looks brand new still shiny chrome, complete with silencers...

SHOULD I JUMP ON IT????? he wants 3,500......i dont think thats a bad price for all the stuff you get with it 1986 HONDA TRX250R, Honda 1986 TRX250R with ESR 310cc BIG BORE KIT. This quad has been sitting in my garage waiting for a new owner since I switched to motorcycles. This quad has a ton of aftermarket parts and spare parts that make it a joy to race or trail ride This bike does need some TLC and I know that I will never recover the investment that I have in it. I still ride it around my house at least once every few weeks. This is NOT a new quad, this is a USED quad and has scratches and parts that have wear. The engine is very sound and this is a very FAST quad. I will throw in all of the spare and stock parts I still have laying around the garage, for example:4 new holeshot tires still in the shrink wrap. (2-front and 2-rear),Brand new seat cover(CEET),Stock gas tank,Old engine cases,Paul Turner midrange pipe,several extra sprockets, stock carb and extra 39mm carb, Extra stock 1986 swingarm,Extra stock radiator (very good shape) Extra Hood plastic,Steel Quad stand,Extra foot pegs,Old steel nerf bars(need mounting hardware),Extra lower A-arm, Stock shocks,Stock lower nose plastic(VERY RARE),Stock front bumper,Misc gaskets,Stock stator ( If I still have)Bag of sponsor stickers,Several extra tires and rims,Spare tire carrier for trailer ( Must have mounting tabs welded to trailer)These are just some of the parts that I have seen laying around and there are probably a lot more that I have forgotten about. Buyer can pick up the quad in the Memphis TN area
