  2. Im looking for a lockout cover and lockout or possibly a +8 swinger roundhouse style........ I have some near new 10 paddle extremes on douglas blue labels...... also any drag ported cylinders or a 4 mill long rod crank.....throw me some offers.

Im at near the same elevation as you with my 35's........250-500ft elevation here, im running 162 mains and 50 on the pilots, screw 1 1/2 turns out, and clip on the 2nd from top, it pulls hard all the way from 1/4 to wot.......id try going in on your screws a 1/2 turn and go to 2nd from top on your clip and see how it feels to ya, make sure you post back the results........

  9. Don't know how stiff his springs are, I know the toomeys everyone uses 3. Do I use all 6 of his or do I need massive forarms? Lol I'm not a weaklin but before I throw em in tomorrow I'd like to know what everyone else is doing. I have 3 new toomey springs also. Should I just use the 6 that came with the kit? Or the 3 toomeys and 3 stockers? Thanks

Dajogejr - Im not real good with the squish thing, im more of a see/hands on learner....but i figured my compression was a little low as well, its a fresh bore/hone, brand new pistons and rings.....probally 2 hours on top end....I used a compression guage from O'Reily's has the compression release, oring seals and 2 adapters......is it a crappy guage giving me a bad reading? also im holding throttle wide open and kicking until it stops moving........
  15. Just got my clutch kit from Jeff an a pancake bearing adjuster. Not even sure where it goes but I'm sure it will b noticinle when I get clutch cover off? Also how do I adjust it?

It'll put me out of the super stock class and into the modified class where i will be racing against waaaaaaaaay faster bikes, not ready to be giving my money away every weekend just yet ahhahahahah...... Im going to try to stick to gas until i build me a 421 cub or better.......But dajogehr, no im still running 93 pump.....will be going to 115 this weekend so ill try 8 degrees timing. FAST clutch from jeff and no lockup, i was looking into the slingshot to keep form having to buy a clutch cover? worth it? or just do a regular lockup and buy a lockup cover?
  17. Mike, I would say go for it, the r6 motor is heavier, but it has more tourque, double that of a banshee so it kinda weighs itself out and makes up for the weight. You add fuel injection in the mix, throw a pipe and power commander on it and your looking at 120hp easy on a 600cc. Ive ridden streetbikes for a while, you can beat the sh!t out of em and they are reliable as h3ll!...........Ive got a zx14 pushing 200 rwhp, If I EVER wreck it, hahaha just guess where the motor is going....good luck!
  18. thanks, im looking at a set of drag pipes now, also i'll snatch off front brakes for this weekend, are t5's that bad? hahha i just bought these brand new because i was told they were a good mid-top pipe..... sighs Also ive ben running pump gas but im switching over to 115 oxygenated this weekend, so ill bump the timing up a bit, say +6?
  19. Ok whats next? Currently have cool head with 18cc domes @ about 150psi, full drag port, 35mm PWK's, vf3's, timing at +4, t5's......... looking for a little more in 300ft dirt....... what can I do??? Currently running 5.0's Thanks Brad
  20. Brandon, Yea what i meant was shifting temp = shifting temporarily..... but ill let him know, im sure his fork is bent i tried to tell him but he said its fine now, so ill let the blind lead the blind hahahahha thanks again

Buddy went to local 300ft dirt track this past weekend and after a couple passes it wouldnt shift into 3rd.....took clutch side cover off today and one of his fibers was shattered into 10 or so pieces....neways threw some new fibers in and now he says its back shifting fine..... would a bad fiber make it not shift temp? or should he be looking into other things? tranny? shift forks etc?
  22. does the FAST clutch use fzr1000 fibers? Ive heard that before somewhere...... I ordered toomey springs a few days ago, called jeff today and got a pancake bearing and FAST clutch. Wish id known jeffs kit comes with springs, lol o well ill have some extras.... I want to do a lockout but ima wait on a deal for a cover lol
