  2. The center bearing on a hot rods crank does not have any pins on it. The o-ring just gets tight in the case and holds it in place. You should have a clip on one side and a pin on the other side of the crank and nothing in the middle. O and you only use the one half of the clip it does not take 2 halves.
  3. I think it is more of a preferance thing but i like the plastic ones just becase if you do throw a chain it is easier to clean the plastic one back up and make it look good again.
  4. Mothers polish and a power ball works great
  5. My buddy ran those pipes on his bike for a season. He was happy with them and i rode it and thought they preformed really well.
  6. When i got my first banshee i tried putting on new pipes and was scared i screwed it up because it would not start either. You mains are to small thats your problem. Living were you are you need a 270 to 290 main jet for the way your bike is setup. You put some bigger mains in it and you will fix your problem.
  7. I have had really good luck with factory sprockets. My buddies and i all run the primary drive x ring chain and have good luck with those also. I am sure everyone has there own choice in chains but those have worked well for us. We buy them from rocky mountain atv.
  8. I agree you need a smaller pilot bad.
  9. I have destroyed more than one cheap chain and sprocket in one ride. I have had the best luck with the factory ones. If you have much power and a cheap chain or sproket and you run it loose it will not take long to ruin it. I dont run the factory chain but myself and all my buddies do run factory sprokets.
  10. Drop down a tooth on your front sprocket. You will be able to start in second easier that way and you will have a little more bottom end. You will loose a little top speed but it will be worth it on the other end.
  11. Compression is what really matters as far as running ras gas. I am not sure of the numbers but if you do a search on here i am sure you will find it. You are run 4 degrees on your timing and not run race gas but if you compression is to high thats when you need to worry about your gas.
  12. You will be happy with that mod when you are done.
  13. slobanshee i have a question for you. If the bike is set up to were it is easy to ride with a stock or less than stock swinger it seams like to me you are giving up power? Dont get me wrong i am not arguing with you it is just a question. I understand having the power in a different spot but it dont seam like to me you would be getting the full potential out of your 4 mill. Would a good port job not do the same thing? Just trying to understand better what you are saying.
  14. There is much more to think about when you are doing this. If you are going to go with a 4mill your cost will be a lot more than just going back stock. I ride a 4mill here in Oregon also lol i would not want to try and ride mine with a -1 swing arm. I have a +5 swing arm on mine and i have no trouble getting the frontend up in the air. If you are wanting to trail ride in the woods and ride sand dunes also i think a nice port job would serve you better than a 4mill would.
  15. I agree with 05.banshee you could never give fast more press than he is geting right here lol. It is clear Greg is a guy that has tried to start a buisness and is not having any luck so he is trying to bad mouth the people here that are doing well. I personally would never deal with someone that talks shit like that about another company on here. I have never dealt with fast and i may never deal with him but from what you read on here he offers great service and great prices and he is helping keep this site up wich is great help to lots of people. So even though i have never talked to the guy i would say he is an alright dude. Good luck Greg let us know what kind of buisness this got little red wagoon racing?
  16. Banshee's tend to be hard to shift especially if you are trying to shift under any load. The shify star has really high lobes on it and when you modify it you round the lobes off a little it just makes it a lot easier to get it into gear.
  17. Since you have the same problem you did on the last motor and you have a set of used reeds i waouold da what firebanshee said and do a compression test and check those reeds also.
  18. Have you checked the reeds? Are you using the same reeds you did on the last motor?
  19. What i was told was that after a bit of time on the billet ones they will start to flake and you will end up with that shit in your motor. The plastic ones do wear out after some time but they told me you are better off to replace it with the plastic one again because if it goes bad it is not going to hurt anything were if the billet one goes bad you are going to need to tear your motor apart to get the pieces out. For the price of the plastic on versus the billet one and how often you actually need to replace it they say you are better off with the plastic one. Like i said this is just the info i was given by a reputable shop here in Oregon that has been building very fast banshees since they came out not from experiance.
  20. If you own a die grinder you can get 4 degrees out of a stock one. Several of my buddies have measured the timing marks on a adjustable one then just ground out the factory one. Just a thought.
  21. Just a little info that i have been given. I was told that running a billet impeller is not a good idea. I am sure other people will have a different opion. They told me that they run a plastic one for a reason and the billet one will cause you other problems. Like i said just what i have been told.
  22. LOL i must say i agree with that.
  23. There should not be any oil in the bike were you mag is. And as far as the radiator goes you can just put a 50 50 mix of water and anti-freeze in there.
  24. What setup are you running on the bike? What are your pipes and air filter setup? Is the motor ported or stock? What are the carbs you are running?
  25. What carbs and jets?
