I must agree with this. To see what passion has posted and to also see the way he was talking in the shout box today was just a little much for me. As far as I am concerned no builder should be talking shit about another builder! I love these threads they give me something to help pass the day. There is always the possibility in Steves case that he tried to install them backwards I mean hell I would not put it past the poor guy.

I guess I must be the only person in the world he answers the phone for????? I have never spent a dime with Matt I bought my pipes used from a friend yet he answers my calls every time and has helped me in any way he could. If I ever have a 250R question I can call Matt and he will spend a hour on the phone trying to help me out. As I stated in a post a long time back he sent me a entire ignition system from his personal bike just to test a 250R I was working on and didnt even charge me for the shipping. My used pipes fit great and have more room for filters than my buddies CPI'S do. Like I said guess I am just lucky. Or it may be possible that some people are kind of a holes when they call him hmmmmm never thought about that one

HAHAHA well enlighten me then. I am not saying anything about the pipes not being good or being bad. I am simply saying all we have heard forever is snipers are coming snipers are coming and then nothing! The marking of these pipes has not been at all what it should be if it was then the major builders and the serious racers would all know the numbers on these things and what they can do. I have talked to Shearer and several other people about these pipes just to see what there thoughts were on these. Hell I am just as bad as the rest of the guys out there if they are everything they are claimed to be I would spend the money to buy them.

You have got to grind that off where the screws go in. You will end up grinding a goor 1/4" or so off of them so the screws will be long enough to reach in and hold the slides up

Why spend 400 on a stock stroke crank when you can buy a hotrods 4mill crank for 350 and then if you want to build your bike firther down the road you already have the crank for it?

LOL I am simmering. This whole thing is just dumb!!!!! There is a easy soluntion to this whole question and there is people out there myself included who are willing to take the time and do all the leg work and spend the time on the dyno with other pipes and motor setups to really prove if the pipes are all they say they are but the pipe builder is doing nothing to work towards that. All we hear is DAMN they are great we just are not selling any LOL

This is one of the dunbest fights on this site!!! The pipes are way over priced we all know that. It comes down to one simple thing. If the pipes were sent out to other builders that could dyno test them side by side with other pipes and they were proven to build more power and fit better and look better and all that they would sell no questions ask! We will spend money we do not have to buy something to make our bikes faster we all know that. People saying well you can not get a big builder to test them and show the results becasue they do not want to piss Shearer off is total bull shit! I can promise you if I had a set of those pipes I could get a couple of builders to test them on many different bikes and post the real results no problem at all. The pipes are a great pipe I have no doubt about that but the marketing of them has sucked to say the very least!!!!!

I have a 421 cub that I like to drag race from time to time also and shifing is a issue. I have spent a lot of time trying to make it shift. The one easy thing which I am guesing you have done is the modified shift star the other thing to do is to make damn sure your shift shaft is in really good shape and is adjusted up where it needs to be. If you get everything set well they will shift even with a little more power than stock.

That looks like a fun bike to ride. That dyno curve is really smooth. Redline is the only place to go if you have any desire to really haul ass!!!!!!!!
