  1. If it ran fine before you took the carbs off then I would say you have the slides in wrong or you missed something in the carbs when you put them back together dude. You really rebuilt the topend becasue it ran bad after you rebuilt the carbs???
  2. Who built the motor? You need to post the image link from photobucket to post pictures. Copy and paste the image link and your pictures will show up. Where in Oregon are you located at? Any dyno sheets on the motor?
  3. You should be right around a 260 main with a stock air box 280 is going to be pretty fat. You may need to go up on your pilot but honestly with a stock box I would stick with the stock pilot and try it and see where it is at.
  4. What is your air filter setup???
  5. Wow thread mining and totally full of shit I am loving this thread. I am sure his does 97 hell mine does 127 and I have Shearer exhaust so I am sure with stock exhaust it will do 97.
  6. They do not work for shit and they cover you in snow!
  7. #3 Drama post count! LOL I never said they had anything worth a shit for proof I just posted this stuff of there page. I think either they need to word it better or they really never changed jets between pipes and if they didnt that is pretty bad!
  8. #2 in the drama post count for me. This is from Cascade inovations web site. The VForce4 reed valve system - By Moto Tassinari ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ . The Brand New V-Force 4 Reeds for the banshee just hit our door and we couldn't wait to test them The VForce4 reed valve system - By Moto Tassinari The all-new VForce4 is built upon the solid foundation that has made the VForce3 such a success for the last 10 years. While the VForce3 has been continually refined over the years, this is a complete redesign of the entire system. ... We jokingly say, "The only thing we didn't change is the bolt pattern." However this is actually quite true. All the components that go into making a VForce reed valve system have been significantly changed since the VForce3. While the most obvious change on the all-new VForce4 is certainly the full-length reed stops, let's take a look at some of the other significant changes as well… * All-new reed petal resin system, carbon fiber and lay-up * Pre-curved reed petal ensures better seal at tip * Wider reed cage for maximum airflow * Combined reed tip area increased by 10.5% resulting in increased total air flow * Airfoil shape added to cage tip to increase air velocity from outer ports * Long reed stops added to progressively slow petal tip velocity, for increased petal durability * Reduced frontal area of central wing by 15.6% combined with a more aerodynamic shape With all this hype from moto tassinari, we were anxious to see our own results, but skeptical of big gains since the v force 3 has been the best reed by far for many of years.... we were wrong. We took our 10mm Cheetah Cub banshee (Red bike in the showroom) and took it to our Dyno Jet dyno. We tested the bike with both the mid-range Paul turner exhaust, and a set of Shearer pipes to get a better reading of what the new reeds do not only in peak RPM HP numbers, but in bottom end as well. The bike made 109.7 HP and 61.6 ft-lbs of torque with shearers, and 77.3 HP/49.2 TQ with Paul turners. When we swapped out our v-force 3 reed system to the V-force 4, we found amazing results. In Both tests nothing was changed on the bike in any way, only the reeds and pipes. Our first pull with the shearers and New V-force 4 pulled 113.0 HP and 64.0 Ft-lbs of Torque! With just the reed change we gained 3.3 HP and 2.4 lbs of torque. Not only were the peak numbers spectacular, but the bike pulled quicker & crisper through the midrange. We again switched back to the Paul Turner Exhaust with the V-force 4 reeds with no other changes. The first dyno pull, we could not believe the power curve we were looking at compared to the v force 3's! The motor absolutely came to life and pulled 85.3 HP and 54.9 lbs. of torque. an increase over the v-force 3's of 8 HP, and 5.7 ft-lbs of torque! Even more impressive was @ 7,500 RPM the bike made 10.5 more HP than the 3's (and to think we were excited about 3.3 on the top end with shearers) To say the least we are blown away at the increase in power that moto tassinari found with the new V-Force 4's and look forward to seeing the result on other bike configurations. The reed assemblies are in stock now at Cascade Innovations and sell for the same great price as the older 3's for $229.95
  9. +1 drama post count for me
  10. O if you are running a 4 speed you will be in good shape with either t case.
  11. It will hoold up okay. The only thing with the 2.05 is they do not have as low of a low range as the 203 or the 208. When you are talking about going to 44's even with 5.13 gears you are going to want as low of a low range as you can have. I ran a 203 behind a turbo 400 with cut 44" boggers and a built 454 for a long time and had no issue with it at all.
  12. Sounds like a honest mistake. I am sure the guy will get his tank he bought. I guess we should have ask how long he had given you to reply to his pm.
  13. Wow if you want to screw someone over that bad why even bother sending the stock tank???
  14. Yes you need the mount that the filter goes on. They usually sell them as a kit. I think I may have one at home I can look when I get home from work today.
  15. I would say massive air leak on that side. Hmmmm I have never used sealer on my reeds. I think you guys need better intakes!
  16. Once you blow a head gasket on a stock head you are going to play hell keeping a gasket in it unless you have the head trued! Stock heads do not hold up well after they blow a gasket once. If it keeps blowing it then your head is not flat any more and that is why it is doing it.
  17. I love this thread I think it is very fitting for the Homo Crew or Bro Crew whatever it is called
  18. For fucks sakes you bunch of crying old ladies I am about ready to take my bike down to redline this weekend and dyno it with 2's 3's and 4's just to shut this bunch of shit up I have the 2's and 3's already and I know where I can get my hands on a set of 4's. If I burn my bike up on the dyno trying to put some proof to this thread maybe Tyler will buy me a new motor
  19. HAHAHAHA Tyler I am not taking anyones word for anything unless I see proof myself. I was simply pointing out why the thread was going the way it was. I never said I bought into shit dude.
  20. I argree with sleeper 280 mains are way to big for running a lid! Those plugs look pretty black to me they do not look they only had one quick WOT pass on them.
  21. It has nothing to do with it being a product review it has everything to do with the guy giving the review. Windy has had a few run ins with certain people on this site and now no matter what Windy says it is bull shit. For some reason people can never look past someone making a mistake and if they do one thing wrong then they are a idiot and nothing they say is worth a shit. Everyone could love the product and as soon as windy chimed in and said it was good then he would get blasted saying he was full of shit. Not sticking up for anyone just telling you why this is happening.
  22. LOL that does not answer any questions. You came on here saying he cut your domes and they were blowing o-rings and you wanted someone else to cut them for you. So was this he setup or was this something you had messed with and maybe leaned out a bit at some point or made other changes to after you go the motor from his shop? Just would be good to post the entire story if you are going to post that someone did a crappy job for you.
  23. So you made no changes to the bike at all everything is the same carbs and all and the way Redline set it up it is blowing o-rings? Have you called and talked to them and ask why this is happening? Just curious becasue I have been dealing with Cameron for years and ran loads of his domes for years and have never had a single issue with them.
  24. Off to Coos Bay for Sand jam 6 Peace out
