  1. reeds are reeds if you wanna go with VF3's do it if you wanna go with the boysens they are ok too. when it comes to reeds they are like a cars valve springs the stiffer they get the faster they close so if you do alot of high rev stuff get the VF,s
  2. have you done any mods to it without changing the jetting like pipes carbs air filters elavation?
  3. I got these carbs for another hq,r on here a couple months back and I really dont know if im goingto use them or not they are in great shape the way there set up right now you could probably run them on a 373 to a 421 cub drag ported and be ok not 100% on that just going off of what the guy said I havent ran them yet so I dont know personaaly
  4. got them a couple of months ago for an alky setup and I decided to just run a pingle valve instead of these they have 5/16th nipples on them and can be tapped out for outlets im not sure on the output of these I think it is close to 35gph 55 shipped I took them apart and they are in good usable condition no cracked diaphrams or gaskets good to go 60 shipped

  8. ya I should of welded it up before PC was done but before that I never had any problems with it sealing so I guess if I can get another year of two out of it by resealing it it will work for me thanks
  9. that is what I was going to do before I asked the question but I wasnt sure about the hardness of JB weld the stuff I took out of the insert is flexible so I kinda thought the jb might just crack from vibrations after some time
  10. hit up amazon.com or one of those sites for the books definatly read into it before you start messing around it might seam simple at first but if you go into porting blind you will go through alot of cash finding what the right way is. its an art that alot of people on these sites dont like to talk about because they had to find out the hard way and spend alot of time doing it I gave up on learning it cause I didnt have the time so I let someone on here do a set for me cause he wanted practice and well its been 6 or 7 months and I havent even seen them since so looks like LE got a free set of jugs
  11. Ok I have a stock clutch cover with a mattoon insert and I had it powdercoated the temp of the oven cracked the seal and I need to replace it. Its an epoxy type sealant at least thats what it looks like to me anyone know what they use?
  12. like it says had my clutch cover powdercoated and the heat baked the seal that was on it I have ead lots of people have them welded all the way around but this one is spot welded with an epoxy like sealant but has cracked from the heat of the powdercoating oven I would weld it up but more than likely it would ruin the PC work anyone know?

  23. I dont want to buy new ones so I come here billet would be great but if I can get the rubber ones cheap thats cool too I also need filters for a 39mm alcohol setup anything would be great thanks
  24. more than likely you might need to take the carrier out of the swingarm and measure the bearings to see what you have. but the round carriers I think take the same bearings as long as you dont want to run a different axle like a 40mm drag axle if its not a 40mm its a 35mm center diameter and then measure the out side of the bearings to see what it is I think a company that deals with then can hook you up. but thats a round housing style banshee carrier at least it should be?
