  1. did you have the hose just hanging?
  2. call Jeff @ fast. he'll probably get you closest on what jets you need, so you don't end up buying a bunch that you don't i hear he ships fast, too
  3. the stealership will make you pay, but if you order online, then it's more like 7 bucks for a pair of pilots shipped. still beats having to pay for a new topend, or more.
  4. this belongs in the jetting section, but, if it runs good at wot, then the jet size is good or close. search plug chop to see how to check. i would go 2 clips richer than it is(4'th from the top) and then set in the middle if there is any sputtering
  5. you probably got water in the stator, and pre-existing corrosion works like an electrolite untill the water eveporates. check your stator cover seals and clean it out with some electrical cleaner. knowingly running lean is like jacking off at the post office. there will be consequences, but you're too lazy to change the situation
  6. your pic site sucks. detonation?
  7. if it's not getting the right amount, but it's most likely the cap
  8. you can't really get them backwards, but the plug caps go bad, just like the sno-go. same caps too. i buy mine at ak snomobile salvage, or marita sea& ski. it still can be a carb issue, though
  9. i have 310's, and IMO the stock needles suck in the low range
  10. 25& 2.5 turns? sounds like you need a thicker needle
  11. idea 1- stock banshee, 2-1 intake with the smallest carb you can get, and glue half the reeds closed. idea 2- hook a switch into the throttle lever and wire it to the park brake wires, so that if you punch it, it will be governed to 2300 rpm's idea 3- both
  12. the ar jet is shown in the bottom pic. (installed) it controlls the air flow to the emulsion tube. (the needle jet that you screw the main into)
  13. to change to different dome sizes. you inspect the o-rings and replace if they are bad, but the are re-usable
  14. pull the flywheel and see if the stator is grounded, and has 3 outputs, or if it looks like someone added the wire to the stator. if it's the latter, then you will have to ground the extra wire, and install a normal regulator if you want to run it ac. is the problem no lights, or are you just cleaning it up?
  15. wallmart special $17-21. i liked the look of the stockers too, but couldn't find the 35 watt h3's. the bullet style lights are pretty bright. I kept the 50 watt flood in one, and replaced the other with a 20 watt spot. I like 'em
  16. i did the vht, but i just cured the first couple of cycles by running mapp gas through the pipes while they were hanging. a little taxing on your arm switching to the other end of the pipe every minute, but the last cycle was on the bike, and no discolor  the shit is verry runny when you spray it, so it took like 5 light coats.
  17. never thaught about that, lol. i just hear a laugh in my head. wow, it does feel gay to write
  18. they do fire at the same time. One coil to rule them all :sorcerer:
  19. you should load that pic into your router prog, and sell that :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  20. 2 things i picked up from this site. i refer to my "bike" (1) by sayin "shee"(2) ripps. but my lowrider and gen 1 firebirds are she's too and i don't look foreward @ urinals, i look down and sometimes talk. especially when i'm drunk. if you have to make a point to look foreward, then you must be trying hard not to look at something else exfoliate? what mod is that? i'm gonna google it
  21. fibres are fried. i know kevlar is pretty grabby when it's hot, so you probably didn't notice them starting to go
  22. this may have been the problem
  23. Were you using the same slides with the different carbs? check the bolt-on cable retainers to see if they are covering the holes in the top of the slides. i was kicking forever and heating up my bowls to get it started in the cold, until i found that one :shoothead: 40:1 may me called for, imo. i switched from 32:1 when i jetted for my new pipes, between the smoke and overabundance of oil in my engine when i had my reeds out What's the temp there?
  24. what does the plug look like? the one side could've just fouled. check your slides and sync them. you may have to play with the needles and airscrews to get it dialed in
  25. Looks like the choke jet that screws down into the bowl, and yes, #4 shows the main jet and washer removed. I'm assuming you took that out, just don't forget the washer. wWhat are the numbers on that jet? Should be something like 2.4 if it's the choke jet, and a little shorter and wider than the pilot.
