anyone here have, ever have, or know anything about the actionracing a-arms listed on ebay. seems like a decent price and i like the mutiple positions for the shocks. feedback welcome. was looking in the +2+1
thanks

Yeah, but wait until you hit a boulder like I did! That thing was big enough to rip my axle off and the PRM plate took it in stride. Left a nice dent but saved my rear and suspension.

If you get extended a-arms are the shock mounting points the same? I.E. do you need longer shocks or is the shock mount still in the stock location and they just move the ball joints further out?
thanks

linked braking with a preportioning valve would be interesting but forget about sliding up on a burm and letting it rip! If i did anything it would be putting the rear break on a thumb lever on the clutch side.

Thanks for the info Banchetta, but im curious why his bike kept blowing up. Did he just have to much compression from milling to much, or was the engine temp way to high, or was the spark plug hitting the piston? id be interested to know why it kept blowing up just because the head was milled. i should be any different than say an aftermarket head with smaller domes...... got any more info?
thanks

Hey guys couple Q's for you. Im getting ready to take my head off and get it milled. Right now on stock bore I am getting 110psi in both barrels at 500ft above see level. How much could I get milled off safely without worrying about to much compression?
#2 does 110 at 500ft souns about right or sould I redo the top end while its apart?
thanks

i fixed mine for like 49 cents. take the kicker apart and remove the old oring. go to the hardware store and pic up a new oring the same size. while you're at it clean everything, wirebrush the pivot shaft, and brease everything up. so far its lasted a whole riding season. not bad for under a buck and a half hours work. its really easy.

i changed my own tires with a 2x6 board and my pickup truck. lay the 2x6 on the tire all the way up against the bead of the rim(obviously you want to remove the valve stem first and let the air out of the tire). pull your truck up onto the board and it will pop the bead really easy then flip the tire over and do the other side. be careful and go slow. after that it just a matter of using two pry bars to remove the tires from the rims. drill two new holes for the stems and your done. took me about an hour to flip my rims.

thanks for the tips guys. i emailed elka and they gave a good recommendation and explanation of each type of shock they offer along with prices. unfortunately they just quoted me MSRP, so I guess I will go through the middle man(dealer) cause it will be way cheaper.
