  1. Thanks man, I'll send ya a PM...
  2. Just in case anybody needed somethin' and missed the post in the for sale forum, gotta sell a couple more things... http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZbenbb157
  3. It should, according to Works' web page the OVERALL length of the shocks are: Banshee 14.75" YFZ450 15.75" TRX450R 16.75" And the Works LT shocks for a 450R and stock a-arms with 12" of travel measures 17.75" overall :woot: I'm still waiting to hear from them about sponsorship for '07, and I need to sell a few more things before I'll have the money, but I'll be talking to them soon and see what they say. Oscar in service has hooked me up on more than one occasion so I'm confident he can help me figure it out...
  4. I got these cleaned up and ready to go, I'd like to sell the (stock) a-arms as a set of all four along with the aluminum DG a-arm guards, and the shocks as a pair, but I'll split 'em up if anybody needs something specific. These are all off my son's 2001 Banshee, look like they are in decent shape with normal scratches/scrapes, but all four balljoints are tight and all the boots are intact. All the bushings look good with the exception of the lower LH a-arm, one of the plastic bushings is kinda chewed on the outside but the bearing surfaces are good and all four a-arms are TIGHT when installed, no play. I bought this Banshee used and it looks like the RH upper and lower a-arms are the factory '01s and the LH upper and lower a-arms are older...I suspect one of the original owners destroyed both RH a-arms and replaced them with used ones. Anyway the shocks are good, no bends or leaks and the white springs are in pretty good shape, only a couple chips from rocks. The tie rods look straight, rolling them on a flat surface they don't wobble. I'm looking for $125 SHIPPED via UPS Ground in the lower 48 for the a-arms and guards. I'd like to get $50 SHIPPED for the pair of stock shocks. Otherwise, say $165 SHIPPED for everything in the pic, or $30 SHIPPED per a-arm and $30 SHIPPED for the guards alone.
  5. Front brake system and hubs/rotors sold...

Smokin' you don't EVEN want those Holeshots hehe, they went in the dumpster...18" Holeshot MX tires last about 2 laps on a clay oval track lol!! Here's what's sold: TT tires & rims Swaybar Kill switch RH spindle Here's what's left: PTR Rev pipes & silencers Rear lowering block Complete front brake system w/polished cylinder Front brake cylinder/lever assy. RH front brake caliper Complete set of a-arms with DG guards and tie rods off the '01 Pair of stock front shocks off the '01 Pair of front hubs/rotors off the '96 DG steel nerf bars Like 5 or 6 stock tie rod ends (inner, has the standard RH thread) Beat ITP front rims Beat Douglas .190 8" rear rims And stock air filter/cage, lids, e-brake cable, front upper brake line, front lower brake line, two sets of front wheel rock guards, throttle housing cap, and a polished head w/one trashed dome

  9. I sent a couple pics but there is a dent or two in 'em: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75269
  10. Sorry fox_forma I don't have extra a-arm bolts, gotta re-use mine. Ok emails sent w/pics to REFLOYD and WALLACE84, oneslowbanshee if ya want pics I need an email addy. Ashhat $5 shipped is what I was wantin' for the tether, I'll get pics of it this mornin' and send 'em. RH Spindle is sold, front brake system and swaybar are sold pending payment...
  11. Will do, I'll email 'em in the morning. Gonna haul everything to work tomorrow so I can ship the same day if paying by Paypal...
  12. What started as this: Turned into this: And then some. I really need to sell this stuff, need the money for shocks and room in the garage. Some of it ain't pretty, but if you want it let me know I'll clean it up and get detailed pics, any questions just ask. Prices are shipped UPS ground in the lower 48, just a guess so make an offer. Found a few other things after the last pic, I'll be adding to the list, but here it is so far: Complete brake system $60. Off my '96; polished stock housing & lever (no brake light switch casting), stock steel lines, splitter, all three rubber hoses, stock calipers, great pads (80 or 90%). Everything works perfect. Front brake master cylinder $30. Off my son's '01, factory black paint, works perfect. RH front brake caliper $20. Off the '01, works perfect, haven't looked at the pads yet. RH spindle $20. Off the '01, looks like it's in good shape, factory black paint. Complete set of four stock a-arms $80. Off the '01, normal wear and paint gone off the front edge of the lowers but otherwise good shape; balljoints are tight and boots look good, no major dings or tweaks. Pair DG front a-arm guards $40. Looks like they are in good shape (normal scrapes from ridin'), thick aluminum and fit stock a-arms. Stock front shocks $50. Off the '01, white springs, normal paint chips on leading edge but not like sandblasted off, no leaks, no bends. Pair of stock tie rods $10. Off the '01, look straight. Stock tie rod ends $30 for five of 'em. Two are brand new, still need to find out how many are RH thread and how many are LH thread. Excellent shape. Pair of stock front hubs & rotors $40. Off my '96, painted red. Good bearings & studs, pretty decent discs (not taco'd or anything, normal wear, look straight). Rand's swaybar $75. White, only used a few times, works great and looks good. Not pictured above is all the hardware that comes with it, which I have (longer upper a-arm and lower shock mount bolts). Paid $180 for it new. Billet aluminum rear lowering block $30. Also only used a few times for TT, has three or four adjustment holes and grease zerks, solid and works great. Front & rear TT tires $100. Hafta look at the actual sizes I don't remember. Douglas .125 front rims in perfect shape, bought them new and didn't bend them (might be a scuff or two on the edge but no folds). Mounted with used American Racer 18x6x10 tires in decent shape (guessing 40%). Rears are Hoosiers, one's a D10 and the other is D15, tires are also about 40%. Rear rims have outer reinforcing rings and are also Douglas .125, although both have some dents in the inner rim and one is bad enough that it only holds air for about 20 minutes (might be the tire though). One rim is drilled for both a Yamaha and Honda bolt pattern (or somebody just got happy with tha dril I dunno). Front & rear rims $40. Rears are Douglas .190s, fronts are ITP .190s, all four have been thoroughly thrashed but still hold air. Safe to say they are dented all over, and the rears have been drilled twice for the hubs (somebody fergot to tighten the lug bolts heh). 10x8 rear and whatever stock is front (10x6?). Slightly better than nothing at all in terms of looks, functionally they are usable and work well (tires shown above are goin' in the dumpster). DG steel nerf bars $50. Powdercoated red last year, some scratches on the lower side and really ugly nets. Old school, mount to footpeg bolts, worked fine for me. PTR rev pipes $75. Bad shape but work well, definitely high end pipes. Chrome is fair on the outside (visible) surfaces, ugly on the inside. Couple dents, had to weld one of the front mount tabs (the nut), didn't have o-rings originally so I cut off the original couplers and welded stock o-ring couplers on there. Silencers are kinda fucked up where the stinger tube meets the expansion chambers, the male end is halfway broken off. Turndowns welded on endcaps and not quite straight, silencers need packing, front mounts are stripped/shaved but the two rear mounts are ok and the silencers are very light (all aluminum aside from the endcaps and perforated tube). Way better than stock pipes but they ain't purty and they are far from perfect. Two stock airbox lids $10. Both have a busted tab but one is held on by a small screw. Two stock brake lines $10. Just the rubber line between the caliper and steel line, good shape. Two sets of front wheel rock guards, inner and outer $5. One off my '96 and the other off the '01. Decent shape. Stock air filter and cage $5. Foam is toast but cage is ok. Kill switch and tether $5. Red cord, works fine (it's the rubber cap style, not Pro Design plastic key type). Stock head with one trashed dome $10. Off my '96, polished outside but it ate a piston ring on the RH side and chewed up the dome. Has already been shaved .030" or so, not warped at all. A few stock '03 Blaster parts; white front fenders & all brackets, stock oil tank and guard. Oh yeah and a stock RZ350 oil pump in mint shape, hopefully worth more than a buck on ebay... Thanks for scoping it out, if you need anything or have any questions lemme know, post here, PM or email I'll get back to ya ASAP. What I don't sell here this week will go on ebay next week.
  13. I got some PT revs, sellin' real cheap if you're interested...but they're rough...lemme know.

I've got some old school DG steel, powdercoated red; no heel guards but you can use the stockers (they mount to the two footpeg bolts). Red nets and they've been purty thrashed, but the powder looks good. Fifty bucks??
  15. I've got a pair off my son's '01; white springs and good shape (no bends or leakage, couple nicks in the paint but not like sandblasted completely off heh). Lookin' for fifty bucks. Also have a pair of stock Blaster shocks, also white springs off an '01, real good shape, say forty bucks.
  16. W/B homie, where ya been?
  17. Sounds cool. I found a set at yfzcentral.com, posting in the "wanted" forum. There was a couple others that offered them (I bought the a-arms with spindles and calipers as a set), you might ask there. Good luck.
  18. Firehead, or anyone else that knows, I got a question about fasteners...need a little instruction or a link to comparisons. Is titanium pretty much the ultimate bolt? Is there anything wierd about 'em I oughta know? I snapped my RH footpeg bolts the other day at a race at the end of a pretty mean whoop section, and I'm thinking I need to upgrade...at the very least the four footpeg bolts but I'll eventually go through as many as I can on the quad as I can afford 'em. Should I invest in Ti and call it done? Would stainless be anywhere close in terms of tensile strength, cost, etc? Or should I just replace them like yearly with cheap 8.8 or 10.8 or whatever? (the ones that broke were a couple years old) I'm kinda hesitant to drill & tap them larger than 12mm, just because I'm not sure how much meat is there @ the frame (and both the frame & pegs are powdercoated)...but I would if I had to.
  19. I've always wanted one too, but damn they are spendy around here; same as 'lil Toyota trucks you can't find one that isn't beat to death for under 5 large. Way back in the day I worked at a Jeep dealership in parts (well Jeep/Eagle/GMC/Olds and some other shit), drove one and really liked it. I was only there a year ('92 I think) and never saw any major failures, hell I think I only cracked the parts manual once or twice on 'em. One of my bosses knows about them though, he's got two or three, I'll ask him when he gets back Tuesday what he thinks...
  20. I will do that. I took some measurements before & after the YFZ arms and it's damn near dead on +2 width and +1 forward. I planned on taking as precise measurements as I could when I talk to Works, just like you said; fully extended (less a hair so the balljoints don't slam at full extension), fully compressed, upper & lower mounts from pivot/centerline. I'm hopeful that something relatively off-the-shelf will work, I don't care if it's for a 450R or LT450R or whatever, just don't want to shell out the cabbage for a full-on custom...
  21. Same here, I'm finding it difficult to envision the heim providing a greater range of motion than a balljoint. BTW aside from the shininess, that pic looks just like a balljoint to me heh
  22. I'm not 100% sure either, but it SHOULD work. I've got two sets of YFZ a-arms for mine and my son's Banshee, last weekend I fitted them up to his with the stock shocks (the lower shock mount bushing on the shock needs to be ground slightly to fit-less than 1/16" on each side). I think the stock shocks drop the front end more like 2", and the have very little travel (again STOCK Banshee shocks, i.e. one step above rigid suspension heh). This would work awesome on an oval/ST track along with a lowering link on the rear...I'd try it on TT but it might be a 'lil harsh on a larger table. I ran out of time and couldn't try my Works triples on the YFZ a-arms though, got a desert race this weekend and need the frontend high. I'm still waiting on Works to call me back on this year's sponsorship (Ray just had surgery and has been out for a week or two), but what I have in mind is two sets of TRX450R shocks from them; they offer them in a triple-rate AT Steeler with long travel (2" more travel on a 450R with stock a-arms, it says something about 12" of travel but I dunno for sure if the balljoints will allow that much at the wheel or not) for $519 list. I'm confident that they can spring & valve them just right and I'll be on par with the 450's running aftermarket suspension (at a quarter of the price). Anyway I would try 'em and see what happens, worst case have 'em revalved/resprung and you'll have like new shocks...
  23. Dude you read my mind. Don't forget Baja 1000, Dyno Dean had more wins on a Banshee than any other quad EVER has. I've raced and won in TT and desert/harescrambles on a Banshee. This year I moved up to the Expert class in AMA District 45, NMDRC (desert racing series). I might not smoke all of 'em (some of these guys are extremely talented and could win on a TRX90, others have virtually unlimited funding and I ain't no trust fund punk), but I'll damn sure be competitive. So to say "NO ONE races banshee's....ever except drags" is just plain wrong...
  24. I believe that for the money, you can't beat Works. I recommend them without hesitation, and yes they have sponsored me for the last two years, but I was running their stuff and very happy with it for several years before that. So I might be a little biased in opinion heh, but I can say for sure that they are great guys to deal with (Oscar in service hooked me up with several springs for free, Donna gave me sponsorship, etc.). I paid $345 for triple rates back in '01, I ran them hard (including desert races) and had them rebuilt and revalved last year; not becuase I broke 'em but because I wanted to get them a little stiffer and the front end a little higher for big whoops. While they were there I had them put on a pair of rezzys, and they set me up with some finned billet units that were used but looked perfect, for next to nothing. I'm more than happy with them, and hopefully soon I'll be upgrading to some of their custom fronts and getting a heart transplant done on the rear. Anyway my advice would be to get the Works, the best you can afford (another cool thing about 'em is you got lotsa options, from dual rate A-T Steelers up to Black Widows and Pro-G's). Nothing against Elka, Axis and the others, well except I wouldn't ever be able to buy their shit unless I sold a kidney, but if ya got the Works you can always either sell them and get close to what you paid for them, or upgrade them later (like triple rate springs or chrome springs or add rezzys or just revalve to suit you).
  25. Only 11 minutes late, goddamn dialup Biaaaaa!!! It would be on one of three days that I'm between DSL providers hehe :: What are we up to now??!
