  1. hahaha WTF?
  2. only is a minimization term.....and i dont care who you are, 80 mph is pretty fuckin fast up a hill.
  3. advanced timing increases bottom end. retarding your timing has the opposite effect. setting your timing high isnt a bad thing, you just need to make sure you have a high enough octane of fuel. not every bike is the same so the amount of timing differs from bike to bike. +7(or 8) might just be the sweet spot for his bike.
  4. aaaahahahahahaha thats some funny shit! and was it me or did the guy that said "thats the best thing i've ever seen" sound like adam sandler?
  5. so i finally got around to re-installing the spring i had powdercoated for my rear axis shock and i threw it on my bike to see what it was like. well, it turned out to basically be a pogo stick. lol. so i figured alright, maybe it just needs to be recharged right? nope. i took it to a local shop here and had them recharge it for me. i get home and throw it back on my bike and what do you know, its still bouncy as fuck. . no biggy right? maybe i just need to adjust the compression and rebound on it.....i then go to turn the compression knob and it keeps freakin turning like it has infinate adjustability...i doesnt stop turning/clicking. i can turn it either clockwise or counter clockwise and it just keeps clicking with no effect on the compression rate of the shock. so im like, WTF!? i then try adjusting the rebound and it seems to have no effect on the bouncyness of the shock either! basically what i want to know is: 1.) why am i able to turn my compression knob in either direction like 100 clicks? 2.) why dont either the compression knob or rebound adjustment have any effect on the shock? and 3.) why the hell is my shock so springy? lol
  6. TTT nobody has ever bought hipers new?.......
  7. if nobody can touch you on pavement but you have a hard time winning in the sand then it sounds like a traction issue. however, i have to agree with erwin, those carbs are too big for what you have done. you wont entirely benifit from them untill you go 4mill. what brand of paddle tires are you running and what size wheel? what gear are you launching in? btw, welcome to bhq!
  8. anybody know of who has the best deals on hiper wheels?
  9. i just slide it on from the front by spreading the plastic apart to fit around the radiator and gas tank.
  10. there should be 3 small shims/spacers on each side of the axle (near wheel hub). to make the axle wider the shims need to be on the inside of the wheel hub.

  12. not sure who's bike it is but it was saved on my computer.
  13. depends on the type of port you want/get. like i said, give 'em all (or atleast a few) a call and talk to them. most, if not all, of the site sponsors that do motorwork can custom port your cylinders to your riding style and where you want the power. theres a link to HJR's site in my sig and you can find links to other builders here --- site sponsors
  14. exactly. what i would suggest is to call kevin at HJR, jeff at FAST etc.... and just talk to them. go with whichever one you feel most comfortable with. they are all great at what they do so you really cant go wrong.
  15. it could have been worse. you could have ended up having a weekend like this guy vvvvv http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=131594&pid=1136533&st=0entry1136533
  16. what i want to know is how the hell you repair something like that?
  17. nice video, it actually helps show how useless the gecko is! at about the 1:50 mark i see what looks to be a kawasaki 450 get stuck at the top of really small "hill" (if you can call it that lol).
  18. lol, and i sheared a woodruff key...

  22. they make a plastic renew kit. ive never used it myself but it might be something to look into?
  23. i smell bullshit. geckos are garbage. they dont get shit for traction, the paddles are short and the design is horrible. will they "work" in sand? yes. will they work "well" in sand? no. as far as price goes, as somebody already said," save money by doing it right the first time". and if money is tight, its not impossible to find used paddles at a good price.
