  1. might try lonestar or fireball racing http://www.fireball-racing.com/
  2. I had used one for flat track and had the same problems. I ended up clearancing the block a little to get it to fit.
  3. yep a small flat head start with one and spiral it off, Its a blast to do have a good time.
  4. I never did a whole lot of big jumps but I cracked the stock swinger a lot doing desert races. It was always cracking in the area of the square cross tube where the linkage mounts.
  5. av gas will last longer than the pump gas. A small engine class I took a few years back the instructor said. Most 2 cycle premixes already have a fuel stabilizer built into them. That is because the manufactures realize that premix is typically used for sport or occasional home use like weed eaters. Where fuel can go bad quickly from sitting in the sun, garages etc.. To cut back on claims and reputation that their oil was the fault of an engine seizure when it was from bad gas and not the oil.
  6. I just added +2 to my bike haven`t had it on the trails yet, but I don`t think I am going to like it for trails. Just running it up and down the street it does take a lot more effort to wheely it. which can be good and bad for the trails depending on the situation. The one thing I did notice is the lack of braking from the rear end now. I have to slide back a lot further on the seat to try to keep traction on the rear to stop. If its that bad on asphalt I am sure the loose dirt around here will be horrible to stop it. But I will try it and see.
  7. after the suspension get a steering stabilizer it will help reduce the fatigue a lot.
  8. depends on the riding you do. Do you really need more motor or do you need better suspension? all the power in the world does you no good if the suspension can`t handle what your going to put it through.
  9. I guess dirty and I were on the same wave length this morning
  10. to run all that electronics you will also need to probably upgrade the charging system and install a battery to power the ecu. something to think about.
  11. thats strange mine is very white maybe they have an off white color or natural or something. I haven`t had any issues with stickers on mine at all. In fact I took some stickers off and am having a hard time getting the glue off. I saw a advertisement for one of the spray can companies they have a new line of paint out. It is supposed to stick to plastic very well can`t remember the brand though
  12. I run them also 23" front 22' rears I have rune that set up for years. I would run anything under a 22 with all the rocks around here on the trails
  13. check your float level maybe even set it a tad on the high side you may be running the bowl out of fuel. I have had that problem with dual carbs on a long steep hill with a single you have cut your capacity in half. I am not sure if you can buy a larger needle and seat for those to increase the flow or not. just another option to check if you run out of other ones.
  14. A co worker hiked it about 6 months ago. he told me the tribe at the bottom had quads down there. I am not sure if those are the ones for the tour or not but he said everything had to be flown by helicopter there. All of the tribes supplies, parts for the bikes, gas etc.. I don`t know if they have any that you can take your own bikes to or how you would get them there. something that would have to be looked into
  15. quick while he`s on the drugs lets swap out his banshee for a blaster and see if he notices. who needs parts get your free parts. kidding man good luck and get well
  16. $10.00 a gallon wow that would be crazy. it typically runs in the $3.00 range in az it has been a few years since I have purchased it though. if you have never run methanol before, something to remember is you will go through a lot more methanol than you will gas. So if your day of riding typically consumes 10 gal of fuel you may need up to 20 on methanol.
  17. you should be fine for trails or dunes I don`t think I would try to air it out though probably a little soft for that. I did it for a few months a couple of years ago with +3 on works shocks set up for standard length. Made for a smooth ride on trails lowered the front about 2" anything over moderate jumps with out a transition would bottom.
  18. There are a lot of people on here that have had problems with ricky stator myself included. There are a few discussions on their product. It seems like we hear more bad ones than good.
  19. a lot won`t even post dyno results for a bike. I hate it when they say yea it produces so much torque or hp. but don`t give the graph or if its stock or modded etc.
  20. some people said they were going to try ricks stators haven`t heard anything bad or good on them yet. different company than ricky stator. I have talked to a few running moose stators with out problems I think they said they were 250w.
  21. like said before check your jetting on it and you will be fine. av gas tends to run lean, I have run it for years also with no problems. Probably has saved me a few grand doing that instead of running race fuel.
  22. I have had this problem for awhile my self deleted cookies didn`t help me though
  23. with your weight no offence meant you would be better off with after market shocks imo. You can then have them built to your riding style and weight. Which will improve trail riding alot. besides the stock banshhe shocks are horrible and not rebuildable. longer arms will make the bike a lot more stable on the trails also. If it were me I think I would go with new arms and shocks but thats me. you can buy after market arms in all types of configurations. Everything from stock width to 4" wider, non adjustable to partial or fully adjustable with caster/camber settings. so there are some things you might want to consider depending on exactly whay you do and what you might or might not need.
  24. mine are under the hood. a lot of times it will vary by manufacture depending on how long they made the line and what postion the line is in coming off the shock. some of them are not very flexible so it just ends up where ever is best for that shock. I bought new fronts for mine same company but because of line length and position had to change my mounting points.
